I've been wanting to eat here for years. The food was okay.......no complaints. However, if you don't like loud unruly children then try a more mature restaurant. First time visiting a Waffle House. Had always heard great things about them and decided to give them a try. Now I might call myself a bit of a waffle aficionado. Grew up eating my Eggos, and can't turn down a waffle if it's on the menu. So of course i got a waffle....and I was disappointed. It was kind of soggy, not crispy at all (especially considering it was fresh off of the waffle maker). Heck, the waffle-makers at a hotel breakfast make a better waffle. Because the Manager appeared to be training a few new employees and yelled at them during most of our breakfast (about their clothes, about how something or other should or should not be done, etc.) we didn't really enjoy the meal. Training involving degrading employees (if it has to happen at all) should really not be done in front of customers. Our waitress was grouchy, and I certainly wouldn't blame her. Food was of poor quality; I would have much rather enjoyed the continental breakfast my hotel offered than dried out waffles and stale coffee that we had here. read more

Haven't been to this Waffle House since I was in high school and thought it would be fun to go back for nostalgic reasons. Wow, was I disappointed. The staff sprayed water all over me because we were sitting at the bar and the sink was right on the other side. The server has a hard time taking our order and when I got my omelet it was less than pleasing - the ham was cold and the eggs were super greasy. The worst part was how cold the entire restaurant was - we felt like we had to eat fast or our food would get cold. The upside is that the waffles were pretty tasty. Raisin toast, cheese and eggs, hash browns scattered and smothered country. What else can I say. Nowhere else can you get diner food this good and this cheap. The staff is generally amazing. Carol is my favorite waitress. She's been at this place for the 15 years I've been coming here. If you want good food, fast and cheap with a dose of Americana thrown in, visit the Waffle House. After working for part of a Saturday, and not eating anything i stopped here on the way back to my hotel to fill up. Ordered 2 waffles and the everything hash browns. Yes it was too much, yes it was wonderful and yes i would totally order it again. Its just what a weekend breakfast should be. Ohhhh Waffle House. I've seen many of these on road trips, but have never eaten at one until now. We ended up going twice, and in that time I tried hashbrowns (covered and peppered) and the regular and pecan waffles. First of all, I loved the service. Both times we sat in the booth nearest the grill, and I actually liked watching the food being prepared. The servers were both so nice and helpful. My coffee and water cups were never empty. I have to say, this place is not life-changing. It's a diner where you can get just the right fix late at night after a few beers or early in the morning or right after a long flight. It just works for "comfort" food and that efficient and welcoming service. I certainly preferred it over all the other diners I frequent here at home. read more

I have been here many times and the food is great. I go between the all star special and the triple hash browns smothered, covered and chunked. If you are a college student you get 10% off, but you have to say it to the staff before they cash you out. The only reason that I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that they do not use gloves when they handle the food. I have worked at a buffet prep place before and you should wear gloves when you are handling food. Other than that this place is pretty awesome. read more

If I could give this Waffle House -00 I would. We are traveling the US and have eaten in many waffle houses because it's our favorite breakfast spot. This Waffle House is the rudest place we have ever been to! Not one person acknowledged us when we walked in. All of booths were full and we sat down to wait for one. We were not in a hurry. There were 2 chairs available at the bar but we wanted to wait on a booth. Several of the servers looked at us but never said a word. Two of the booths became available but none of the servers made any indication that they were going to be cleared. So we sat there waiting on one to be cleared. 3 people walked in and the severs said good morning to them!!! And then asked them how many!!! We said what About is?? The server that greeting the other 3 said to us do you want to sit at the bar. We replied no, we've been waiting on a booth to be cleared!!! We left at that point because it was clear that we weren't going to be waited on like everyone else. Don't go here. These ladies are not happy working here. Go to the Waffle House off of I40. If someone asks if you'd rather go to this Waffle House or a dumpster, choose the dumpster. Both of our orders were wrong and tasted awful. He ate his anyways, but mine was way wrong. I ordered a cheeseburger and got some sort of breakfast sandwich thing. After my fiancé's meal was choked down, my cheeseburger finally showed up. It was a burnt-to-a-crisp, cheese-less sh** on a shingle. Burnt cheese-less cheeseburger! Whhyyyy?? Stopped here after a concert. No one greeted us or acknowledged us. We had to ask to be put on the waiting list. The waitresses told us to be seated took our drink order then proceeded to ask not only us but two other couples to move because they had to seat 10 people. Incredibly poor customer service! I walked in at 10:00am, there were 3 tables available. I asked for a table and was told that because I was by myself I was only allowed to sit at the counter. I said that I would prefer to sit at a table and was informed that the counter was my only option. For very personal reasons I cannot sit with my back to the door, in addition to this, I am a student and wanted to do homework while I waited for my food. This is the second time that this location refused me service under these circumstances. I left and went to the Denny's down the street. this Waffle House , as part of a southeastern chain serving grits, tasty pecan waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage and such; seems somewhat lost and lonely out in the land of green chile, enchiladas, and biscochitos.. This is a very cheap place to eat and I believe they are open 24 hours.. The coffee is fairly good. I have been to this particular WH many times and the staff are diligent, hard working, and have always been quite courteous.. This location is very convenient to the Albuquerque airport, it is in fact the CLOSEST place to the Albuquerque Sunport which serves food late at night or early in the morning.. Thus I have eaten here many times prior to an early morning flight or after a late night arrival.. Even if the airport food places are open, do you really want to pay their prices??! Waffle House food is definitely not healthy, however it is cheap.. This is also a good option for late night munching after the bars close.. Would I want to eat at WH regularly for lunch? certainly not (although I used to work a block away and occasionally did have lunch here). However, this is a good occasional option for late night eating, early breakfast, or if you are headed to or from the airport, or if you are stuck at the airport due to problems with your flight or local transportation. The place is so close to the Albuquerque Sunport you COULD walk if needed. read more

At dinner rush, I was the only customer and there was very limited food items available. Took me 10 minutes to create and order a meal from the available items. I have been going here 2 X a month for over 30 years and have watched this placesteadily go down hill for about the last 12 years. I eat at a WH wherever I travel and its sad that the worst one is the closest to my home. Overall, okay, but not as good as it used to be. The food is quality but overpriced. The service is decent and inconsistent in the sense of older staff that just needs to retire due to their memory of forgetting menu items and overcharging because the younger staff is trained well and accordingly. Now that i went today with my family, I rather go to village inn or ihop instead . The waffle at waffle house lost its quality, so i rather take my chances elsewhere if you were to expect the same quality from a few years ago or for the ridiculous prices. I remember that one waffle used to cost $2 about six years ago. Now it is $3.10 and no where close to deserving that price. I WAS a regular customer of this place, would go there at least 3 times per month with my family, in fact, waitresses already knew my twin babies. One day I decided to take my aunt for the first time, Josephine was our waitress and she looked like not in a good mood. I was kind of sick and my voice was terrible so after seeing her writing our order really fast, I specified I wanted pecan waffles about 3 times. Order came and my aunt's order was wrong so she got it changed, when I told Josephine I had told her 3 times that I wanted pecan waffles she went off on me, saying "don't talk to me like I'm your 11 year old daughter mam" I tried to reason with her but it was a waste of my time, she said "then you should speak up!" when I told her I was sick she said "well I don't know that" I asked for the manager which so happened to be her. I continued to ask for a corporate number, she gave me a local number that was to the owner of the place. She also kept saying to leave, that I did not have to eat there and as much as I would've liked to left their food go to waste, our kids were already eating and I wasn't going to stop their meal just because of a dumb manager. I called the number she gave me and spoke to this guy Donald, he said he was going to call her, she kept ignoring the ringing phone and once she picked it up she kept smiling and laughing like we were a joke to her and her boss. When we left our check showed a discount of 10% which was around $5 off. I didn't care about a refund, I just wanted at least an apology from this so called manager! This just shows that the owner doesn't care about his customers and as good as I thought this place was, I will NEVER set foot here ever again! I work at a hotel as a receptionist and would always point our guests their way but we are no longer doing that after the bad service they offer. read more

absolutely horrible experience when we got our drinks our waiter approached - no "hello" no offering of her name just a "what do you want?" in a rude and annoyed tone we asked for a few minutes to look over everything less then a minute later we again receive a rude and annoyed "so what do you want?" we asked for a few more minutes and then were promptly ignored for almost 15 minutes this was only a start of the rudeness - we were blatantly ignored and felt constantly attacked at the same time to the point we had to pack our food and leave with my fiance literally in tears from the abuse on top of all this the food was sub par at best and downright disgusting compared to other locations i will always recommend waffle house - BUT NOT THIS LOCATION read more
