Horrible experience the steak was over cooked and not a drop of seasoning. It tasted like raw meat or poorly cooked liver.

I have been here several times and it is one of my favorite restaurants in Baton Rouge for great flavorful food. The food was amazing and great. For an appetizer, I had a dozen of their chargrilled oysters. You can see the smoke and smell them cooking them on the way in. They have this amazing butter sauce packed with tons of flavor and it is served with their French bread to soak up that butter! Some other appetizers we got were their fried eggplant with marinara sauce and their buffalo wings which are so good. For my main entree, I got their blackened shrimp pasta which was seasoned well and came with garlic bread. My twin got their hamburger steak and it was delicious. Some drinks I got for the night were their old fashioned and their Long Island iced tea. The ambiance is nice and perfect for a family outing or to celebrate graduation in my case. This will always be a restaurant I will coming back to. The service was great and Chance was amazing the entire time accommodating our large party! Thanks so much.

First things, it had at least two. an accessible parking areas for my daughters power chair access. Awesome. And the waitstaff were so pleasant to deal with. First fish, shrimp tacos. I have to admit I was skeptical but CC nailed it. Three generous soft shelled tortillas with 4+ shrimp, multi colored bells, salad, etc. were delicious. I was even more skeptical of the sweetened/spicy syrup that came with them but whoa, perfect combo on the tacos. The side was yellow rice with black beans and pico. Decent. Second dish, Epplant Supreme. Breaded, baked eggplant with well spice shrimp over a bed of thin pasta. Piece of buttered bread and a small side salad. My daughter loved it. I tried one of the shrimp and it was really good. Overall 4/5, edging towards a 5. Well pleased with the dinner and the price.

The crawfish were flavorful, seasoned well, and priced right, which is honestly the perfect combination when you're sitting down ready to eat. They had that messy, not really spicy, addictive quality that keeps you reaching for "just one more" until the tray is empty. I also tried the buffalo wings. They weren't that great, if I'm being honest, but I was hungry so they got the job done. The crawfish are clearly the star of the show here anyway. The atmosphere felt relaxed and unpretentious, exactly the kind of place you want for seafood with friends, cold drinks, and a table full of shells piling up by the minute. If you're wondering whether I'll be back, I already have.

I went for the lunch buffet for $13.99 and feel like the BR location def has more options than the NOLA location (I haven't been to that spot in over a year though). There are some seafood options during lunch (salt and pepper crab, salmon, assortment of fish, and mussels) but if you want a wider variety, dinner is the way to go. I didn't try the sushi because the majority of them were always wiped out but the chefs in the back were doing their best to replenish whenever they could. Nothing to extraordinary with the sushi, I feel like you could get most of em at the grocery store. My favs at lunch were hands down the salmon and the baked mussels w cheese on top. The salmon was SEASONED SO WELL and I just kept going back for more. The mussels and cheese was def a hit too bc I could see the chefs restock every so often. There's unlimited boba (not included in the buffet) and I had the mango, which tasted watered down to me. The ice cream was amazing, got a mix of the taro and mango. The cakes were extremely dry and the mousse was the only thing saving it from totally crumbling in my mouth. For the most part, the food was piping hot, but there were a few options that were cold when I ate them, hence the 4 stars. The staff were incredibly sweet and would clean tables immediately after someone would leave.

He only got me on this place about a year ago......and I never looked back. This Philly cheesesteak is what everyone else wishes theirs tasted like. It is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I'm not exaggerating, I have not found anything better! AND THEN, every single thing I've tried on the menu is DIVINE! I ordered the wrong thing last time I went. My husband orders two sandwiches when he goes.....no lie. And I tried to order just one of them one time when he wasn't with me. So I ordered and took a bite and it wasn't the one I thought it was....not their fault, I just ordered the other one my husband usually does. And the thing is, that first bite was so juicy and flavorful, I didn't even mind. You literally cannot go wrong with this restaurant. Close your eyes, point, and spin. Whatever menu item you land on, and order will be PHENOMENAL trust me. I think I got my dad hooked, now on to the rest of the family!!! While the better/server was polite, it took a very long time to be greeted and seated and to get food ordered and brought to the table. When it did, everything fried was super salty like a salt block salty. My rice barely had any salt or seasoning and my oxtails weren't very tender and the sauce tasted like out came out of a jar in the store. We were the only ones in there so I just don't know. One day I'll try again but it's gonna take me a minute. I felt like I got food catfished.

Before they changed names and menu names, the Ranchero with Bacon was the best thing you could get anywhere. It was fantastic. (Renamed as the Bacon Cheesy) The old pictures are gone now, but the Ranchero was a beautiful, smooth sphere, baked golden brown, with just the right amount of cheese and ranchero sauce. Now? Now it's a sad looking meat pie shaped thing, barely looks cooked through, no discernible cheese, no ranchero sauce, and a half-cold clump of pre-cooked bacon bits inside. Last time I ordered a breakfast taco, it was so greasy it dripped onto my shirt. And anything that greasy just isn't good anyway. The dough used for the regular kolaches is good (a bit sweet), but the smoked sausage kolache has a sad, thin piece of sausage in it. That original Ranchero was sooo good, I keep going back hoping for a comeback. I'm just torturing myself.
