Now I know places especially fast food restaurants have been recovering from the pandemic. Causing a strain on keeping staff or even happy to say the least. This particular night, I noticed 2 girls that were working and when I got there, the tables were dirty and only one side was being used. I wanted to sit in a booth so I waited until he was done to be seated. The girls did tell me they had a huge rush so they couldn't get around to cleaning. I understood because I have worked in the Fast Food/Resturant business short staffed. We had a good conversation and was able to have a heart to heart moment. The food was a 5/5 (Texas Bacon no cheese melt w. Lettuce, tomatoes and pickles on the side). I'm not a regular at this establishment but I hope everyone treat people as PEOPLE and don't forget staff people have feelings too. Be nice so your food will be on point. Simple :) read more

This Waffle House is by far the worst restaurant we have ever been to, the hash browns had ham and cheese on it and it was cold, the slice of ham was cold. My wife's waffle was cold. If I could give a 0 star I would. First I found mold on my waffle then watched an employee spite in my drink. I went into to the bathroom and there was toilet paper everywhere. I also saw poop smeared on the floor and walls. When I went to go sit back down there was little kids kids pouring syrup on my table and two grown woman in a fist fight. We came here on Christmas Day with our daughter to start a new tradition. Waiters opened the doors and greeted us and we had wonderful service and many kind greetings. Jacquie was happy to put on a pot of decaf coffee when I requested and the food was excellent as always. We will be happy to come here again, especially on Christmas Day. We've been eating at this Waffle House since it opened years ago. Seems as though the pandemic has given them the excuse to bitch and complain about being overworked every time we go as of late. Tonight, the workers were all arguing and complaining because there were too many people. There were 3 tables including us when we walked out tonight. They were rude to every customer tonight and annoyed at our existence. I get that working in a restaurant is hard, but treating customers THAT badly is inexcusable. Only reason I gave it a 1 is because of the amazing server jessica. She was soooo busy basically doing everything in the store. First off when I first walked in I stood at the register for 13 mins after someone finally came, when I asked if I could place a to-go order she said "NO" and continued to do what she was doing. Stood there for another 30 MINS until I could finally catch jessica who again was working VERY HARD and was doing basically everything. She took my order and was very polite and sweet. Authentic experience at the good old Waffle House in Buford. Staff is friendly and the food is as good as usual with delicious grits, real hashbrowns, waffles and grilled cheese. This time I got my hashbrowns smothered and peppered, but next time I will stick to regular plain old hashbrowns done extra well. In fact, I wouldn't normally leave a review for Waffle House on Yelp, but I stopped at another location nearer my to-do route this morning and was disgusted by the flies flying around and the immediately poor service. I then turned around and drove out of my way to come to this location, knowing it would far exceed the other. 11:50 AM, Sunday, Aug 14th. 2022: Every restaurant near the Mall of GA was busy all AM. This was the 3rd restaurant we had been to over two hours trying to get seated. I was famished wanting breakfast. No waitstaff person or manager in this place grew a backbone enough to manage a bad situation. There were about 16 of us waiting for a seat. Some seated along the wall, and some standing. We waited for a LONG TIME, and became high blood pressure irate when we realized they had seated a party of ONE at a booth for FOUR. At that point they had not brought her food, but even after she ate, she played with her phone and tied up the booth for another 30 minutes. We finally grabbed our party of two seats at the counter after offering it to others. Other parties had 3 to 4 people. It took forever for the waitress to REMOVE USED PLATES AND CLEAN THE COUNTER. They could manage these crowds better if they would put a sign on the door saying, "During large crowds, we reserve the right to manage seating." Hire people with common sense that can THINK OUT OF THE BOX. read more

As far as Waffle Houses go, this is one of the best ones. Always clean, and a super friendly staff. (Best of any one I've visited). Waffle House food is what it is. You like it or you don't or you tolerate it. Regardless, you know what you get when you go in. It's the closest thing we have to an all night diner in the south. Personally I do enjoy them for breakfast. I do enjoy coming to this location. The staff alone makes it worth the trip. read more

Terrible customer service. Just went in to eat at almost 10 pm---they are 24/7 establishment-my husband is in a wheelchair-as in-can't sit at high counter or at booth. Thought it would be no problem since they had low counter that he could roll up and eat. NOT this Waffle House--no no-waitress told us it was closed and we had to wait for booth. Angie was our server this time and as she came to ask us for drinks my boyfriend asks for a rag cause the table was sticky. He said I will wipe it or you can. Just trying to be nice. She threw the rag on the table. So we cleaned it. Then as we were eating the shift manager tony decides to come by our table and grab a napkin to clean his glasses and proceeds to cough while doing so. Attempted to call in and received an automated message. So I drove to the location and it took like 25 minutes to get my food. Only two workers and both were new and one had a language barrier. We went tonight on our way from work. My girlfriend and I came in and I immediately noticed the cook was asleep on one of the tables. The waitress was completely oblivious to it and when we tried to place an order she acted like we were nuisances to her. Once we placed our order she had to go wake up the cook and she shook him multiple times before he woke up. He then stood up and glared at us, made our food and then went right back to the table and fell back asleep. This is my first yelp review. I work in the service industry and I know the struggle of how tough it can be and I've had yelp reviews about me good and bad. But this experience was terrible.
