We were very impressed with our dinner here! There were only two employees - one serving and one cooking - and they were amazingly quick! The server was also very friendly, kind, and generous with telling us portion sizes so that we avoided ordering too much. Prices are very good, and so are portion sizes. My two young daughters and I shared the All-Star Special and it was just enough for us (but would have been a bit more filling with an extra aisle, I suppose). Great experience here! read more

The server nodin is a thief. I accidentally left a high tip on an already tip included togo order. She pocked 20. On a 20 dollar bill. I asked if she could help me out and hand me some cash back. She acted real standoffish and said there was nothing she could do to help me. She said her shift just started and didn't have anything to help out. It was 8:30 pm and I sat there while 3 tables closed and paid and she still didn't try to help me. she is an extremely greedy server and I wouldn't trust her with your back turned. I was sitting at the high top, she asked if my order was To go and I acknowledged it was, she made me get up to take my order and walk over to the register when I was sitting down enjoying myself. I was the only one at the high bar. She then proceeded to call out my order incorrect by saying i ordered more eggs than I actually did. She is shady and I wouldn't trust her with anything. I cannot believe such poor service exists in a place like Waffle House. I will never be going back because of her rude and selfish behavior. read more

A lazy Saturday morning as we drive searching for a Waffle House that had the fewest patrons. We ended up at this Waffle House location. The parking lot had spaces and a few folks were waiting to be seated. Our turn and we sat at a booth. The menu is colorful and the pictures make choosing easy. I wanted lunch and chose an easy bacon and cheese grilled sandwich which comes with a bowl of warm and tasty Bert's Chili and Beans. The other two orders are the full up breakfast two eggs and bacon or sausages on the sides. The lovely missus says that the hashbrowns need to be extra crispy. We were served by young lady named Hailey. She did a good job and Waffle House should keep her. We had a great experience at the Waffle House and would do it again....question is...which one..there are so many to choose from. read more

I don't think there is such a thing as a bad experience you can have at any Waffle House, they are like Chick-fil-A in many senses, great friendly staff, quick fast service, and good consistent food. The Dawsonville Waffle House is one of the best, surpassing even the excellent service I am used to at the other locations. I was greeted as I walked in the door and found the restaurant clean and neat inside with plenty of staff. As I selected a seat I was handed a menu and given silverware as my drink order was taken. Thirty seconds after I walked in I had my drink at my table and was placing my order. My order was cooked to my specification and on my table in less than five minutes while my tea was refilled. As usual, my order was perfect and just as I had ordered it. I even had the cook and one of the wait staff ask how my order was in addition to being asked by my designated waitress. I am always amazed at the efficiency of the staff at Waffle House, they stay busy and have constant orders but are always accurate and quick. The staff is always happy and friendly, you wonder how some places manage to find employees that seem to be passionate about doing their job While at other businesses it is hard to get staff to act as if they care. First and last time at this Waffle House. Ordered eggs over medium. They came out upside down with runny whites. Tried to send them back. Waitress didn't take them. Left them on my plate. I was forced to eat around the soupy mess. The window sill looked like the last time It was cleaned was pre-Covid. Very little Covid actions were being used. One seat in the entire place was blocked. Staff had masks no gloves and customers didn't have masks. Had to ask 3 times for more coffee. Don't go here. read more

The staff at this Waffle House are very nice and do a great job. The food is the same as all the other Waffle Houses. Lately I've noticed the have been closed due to staffing issues, so just be prepared if they are closed. read more

This morning I was met with warm welcomes and smiling faces. That's always nice! It's breakfast time and Waffle House rocks! I've visited 25-30 different Waffle Houses over the past year, and I always enjoy. They just do breakfast right. Hot, fast, and good ! This morning as usual my drink order is on the table in minutes, probably 60 seconds! I always order ice water, you should try it, always delicious. This morning is a typical breakfast crowd with most likely locals going through their morning routine. The staff is very friendly and happy. The cooks are focused and busy at it. The atmosphere is nice this morning with chatter chatter in the background. Surprisingly, this morning the speed of service for breakfast is much slower than normal. Usually, breakfast is served 5-7 minutes after order. O wait here it comes. A delicious tasty breakfast as usual. Not quite as fast arriving to the table, not quite as warm, but enjoyed it just the same. And I'm thinking even on a day like today I still prefer Waffle House on an off day versus IHOP which I just don't like their breakfast much. The eggs, grits, hash browns, meats etc. is just better at Waffle House. Another observation is out of all the Waffle Houses I've been to, the jukebox is used more here than the others. So if you want to listen to music, or sing along with staff, this is your place. Although the jukebox is played more, it's not overly loud and the atmosphere is unite serene. The staff is friendly and they turn the tables qui It's Waffle House so you know exactly what it is and they give you what they are known for, diner experience that will be tasty and greasy. They have Coke products here and you can order those hash browns with various toppings any way you wish. If you want to be really crazy have a slice of the pecan pie and have them put butter on it and warm it up. It is a slice of heaven. read more

There are 2 Waffle Houses here at GA 400 & HWY 53. This one is on the Southbound side of GA400. It's also corporate owned, not that it makes a big difference unless you like Coke Zero. Of course they are famous for their breakfast. A must is the Fiesta Omelet. Make sure to ask them to sauté the veggies and make it a FLUFFY omelet. They have spectacular eggs made any way you want. Despite the recent scandals at this particular location I still enjoy this one better than the other one. My 3 coworkers and I went in after a late shift on Sunday. The waitress (the manager) was very rude, and stopped in the middle of our order and had a 10 minute conversation on the phone even though that there are several other employees standing around. When bringing our food everything was wrong, and she clearly didn't care about it, rolling her eyes and walking away. One of my coworkers ordered a waffle and she brought out a peanut butter one instead. After explaining to the waitress that she cannot eat the waffle because of her peanut allergy, she simply told us to just scrape the peanut butter off the waffle and " it would be fine". I personally do not find that acceptable, and they lost some very loyal customers. read more
