Usually, WF is pretty good comfort food. Today, everything seemed like it was cooked too fast and not all the way through. The waffles looked/tasted doughy. the hashbrowns were supposed to be smothered & covered, but they were undercooked to the point of the cheese not being melted, along with the onions being limp. Late breakfast on a weekday, this Waffle House had a few other customers so I was sitting at the bar area. Decently friendly service by a crew that was all taking care of each other's customers. One waitress brought my coffee, another took my order, the cook refilled my coffee and a fourth took my money at the register. Juke box playing R&B rather loudly. Super speedy because of that. It was less than 7 minutes from the time I stepped in the door to the time my breakfast landed in front of me. I chose the "All Star" and I only realized after I'd departed that they forgot my slice of ham. Oh, well. I'm still stuffed and other than the one bump, it was a decent meal. We stopped to eat at this waffle house for breakfast on a roadtrip. We are traveling from South Carolina and have been to our fair share of Waffle House restaurants. This is BY FAR the best Waffle house. Our waitress was Sam who was very attentive and a great server. I've passed by this place a thousand times and never stopped in because of the way it looked from the outside. Làst night I decided to use the old cliché and not judge a book by its cover so I stopped and was pleasantly surprised. Seating isn't ideal for large parties because it's so small but it's ok for a couple. The quality of the food was amazing. I ordered hash browns, biscuits and gravy and strawberry waffles. Cannot believe the absolute treacherous service. How to start... we walk in, looking drippy as hell, and get seated. I ask for a water, and to my chagrin, am not given it, I had to ask twice for the water, and still didn't get it. Very mid. Next I ask for my waffle, and it comes out in about 15 minutes, quite slow may I add, and I am given it with a dirty looking plastic cup of whipped spread, not even butter. And not only am I given whipped spread, but I am only given with spread, they didn't even have the decency to give me syrup. After this, I decided that I will Uber eats some Chick-fil-A to the location, because Chick-fil-A knows how to do it right. The prices were amazing, but that wasn't enough to salvage the visit. When we got there the servers were hanging out at a table with some customers, possibly off duty employees.
