And one egg was cooked sunny side up the other egg was between an over medium and over done. The bacon was decent and I got the grits I don't know why I got the grits The picture made it look good so I thought hey let's give it a try nope. I came here with a friend and they were so surprised to hear that I've never come here and I see it all the time they're always packed and you can tell it's kind of a small building. Gives you a very old-school look I mean I think they clean their own dishes. It was a bit messy and dirty. Our waitress was nice she called everybody Baby, Or sweetie, maybe even hon or honey Which I thought was cute. But I think they had eight people working and it seemed like she was the only waitress. My friend got there before me and ordered first and when I came I had to wait a good few minutes five to ten I mean obviously she was busy she was only one who was the waitress I think. The food actually came by really really fast but I got my food before I ever got my drink. I don't know her name I don't think she ever introduced her name. Had breakfast here recently. Good piping hot food: Waffles, bacon, bread,, hashbrowns and coffee all good. Service excellent. Steve was very attentive with refills on coffee and making sure I was happy with everything. If you have a good appetite I recommend this eatery for breakfast! read more

Old reliable came through as usual with another place we tried to eat swarmed with Nascar people. A very good pecan waffle and hash browns smothered, covered and capped arrived within minutes. The coffee was refilled very quickly and still the best part for me is hearing them yell out the order. I also like watching them cook, but could not see the action this time. read more

First time at The Waffle House because there isn't any in So Cal. Read other reviews & was a bit weary... but decided to try it anyway. Came for breakfast on Sunday @10:15a and it was full. We were told it was a 30min wait for a party of 5. Hostess was friendly and provided us with menus to take our order so when we got seated, they could put in our order right away. Our waitress was Jess and she was very friendly & attentive. Our food came out about 10mins after being seated. Food was hot & waffles were very good. Everyone was pleased with their meals. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars, the restaurant is small & it is not good for parties of 5+. booths are tiny and restroom was a mess. That must be addressed. The restaurant dining area was clean. I was getting my Oil changed right next door to Waffle House. I went inside and waited for a open seat to have a meal and coffee while waiting. There was a open table ( not cleaned ) right in front of me. I am a disabled senior. I stood waiting for almost a 1/2 hour totally ignored by all the employees. I finally asked the cook who was assigned the empty table. One of the waitresses answered that " i will get to it when I can ". I found this very inappropriate and unprofessional definitely not in keeping with the friendly people I have encountered at Waffle House over the years. I will never enter this establishment again. And will certainly share my unpleasant experience with my circle of friends. My suggestion would be to fire the Manager and send the current group of employees back to basic training. I will certainly frequent other Waffle House restaurants but not this one. I am going to Denny's on my way home. I am always greeted with a smile there. read more

Certainly your run-of-the-mill Waffle House, a staple when I am traveling. The staff were friendly, restaurant was clean, and the food was up to standards. My usual order is Hashbrowns All-the-way and a Pecan Waffle with their fake butter spread and no syrup. And they have Sweat Tea! Delicious, greasy, diner food in a tiny little open restaurant, yes please!! It's definitely not the most fancy of places, but what you see is what you get. I love the prices and simple menu. The value meals are huge and worth the price! I got a 2 egg scrambled plate with bacon, raisin toast, grits, and a famous waffle. And it was all around 7 bucks!! I could barely get all of it down but I had to sample everything since California doesn't have these. Waffles were so good, it was the favorite part of meal. I also love raisin cinnamon toast as an option compared to the boring toast most places offer. Coffee is really good here, probably because it is served constantly all day long. They put whipped cream on the hot cocoa as well. :) Service was okay for a place that is extremely busy. There was people standing around waiting to get seats and a ton of to go orders being made. Apparently I've been to this location before. Since we don't have a Waffle House in California, I always make it a point to go to one if I can. Love the fact that they are open really early. Even at 5:45am they were starting to get pretty busy. Our waitress was really nice and helpful. The prices are decent. You get so much food for the price. We love Waffle House, but todays visit was terrible. The music was so loud we could not talk across the table and when we asked them to turn it down, they said only the district manager could do it and he was not here today. Note two other tables also complained about the music so it was not just us. Bacon was burned as was the waffle...........noticed they usually have two cooks but today at noon only had one.............Not an enjoyable lunch and no one seemed to care................help had very nonchalant attitude which is not usual for the Goodyear location. First time ever at a Waffle House and I'm now wondering why it took me so long to eat here! Maybe the yellow and black plain décor on the outside threw me off?! Inside is small so we waited a bit to get seated on a Saturday morning which was typical. The menu was easy to order off of and OMG, the waffles are delicious! Ordered a coffee; you know that one scene in Monsters, Incorporated where Mr. Waternoose gets "coffee"? Well anyways, needed creamer. Ceiling fluid dripped onto my back so I changed my seat because I was told to sit anywhere. Server came back around and I asked for a waffle with choco chips. The water that came with the coffee had a corn kernel shard that resembled a booger, just coffee with my waffle. The waffle was as shown, just a tad burnt. A woman came by the window and tried to flag another patron down to no avail. David and Eli were more worried about visiting with their girlfriends occupying a table but not eating than tending to the open customer tickets. All 3 plates were messed up. Arrived around 4pm on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of a 6 hour road trip to pick up some Waffle House to go as we still had a few hours of driving left. The restaurant had maybe 3 or 4 customers in the store. The girl at the counter said "we aren't doing to-go orders due to being short staffed" ... which totally stumped me. They weren't busy, we didn't call ahead and expect food to be sitting there when we arrived ... we just walked in and wanted to order some food to go. No, she said. Ok, how about we sit at a table, order some food and then you give us some to go containers and we'll transfer it to those ourselves and leave? No, she said. Can't help. Not sure what ulterior motive they have here, but we had money burning a hole in our pocket, ready to spend but they didn't want it. For the silliest reason I've ever heard. If there were customers stacking up out the door and full tables? Absolutely, we would have understood. But to have a few customers in store and not want to serve us for some ridiculous excuse of being short staffed when our order would be the same whether we sat down or took it to go, we'll definitely think twice about the poor customer service Waffle House seems to approve of. read more

My First and Last Visit So I always hear people say how they love the Waffle House and in all my years I had never been to one, but I wanted to try it. Unfortunately that was a mistake. I have to be honest I wasn't impressed when we walked in, however, I tried to keep an open mind, after all I couldn't expect fine dining. It didn't take long before I knew I'd never visit another Waffle House again. The first hint was the horrible smell that could only be compared to a port a jon. Next was the dirty greasy menu and spotty silverware the waitress delivered to the table. Then our food came and everything appeared to have been cooked in old grease, the food tasted absolutely horrible. The waitress noticed we weren't eating much and asked if everything was ok. We paid the bill and quickly left to free up the table. I know many people like the Waffle House and that's great , but the Waffle House just wasn't for me.
