Went late night on Labor Day into the next day early morning actually around 1:30am. Not very busy which was nice. " the counter attendant "Lila" was awesome. I ordered the patty melt with hash browns on the crispy side. I also added lettuce tomato and a sunny side up egg to the sandwich. That way the yolk melts into the sandwich. It was perfect and delish. It was under 2.00$'s to add the extras and well worth it. I also met and talked with random customers who were real nice. They have a Jukebox there also. Very cool indeed. One couple waited at Waffle House for about 15 minutes for an empty table to be cleaned. There was a long wait for seating. The person who was supposed to be cleaning was talking to family members instead of doing his work to get people seated. One lady sat down at the counter in an open seat, she already asked everyone in line to ensure they didn't want the seat. When we called the man out to ask him to clean the table, he began telling the lady (very loudly) that she needed the wait in line. He was trying to deflect the fact that he wasn't doing his job. We ended up sitting at the counter and waiting for them to clean it. The same man said to my daughter, "next time wait for it to be cleaned." We already waited for 10 minutes since the people left. The family was discussing what to eat for lunch on July 4. I drove past Waffle House at ~1045, and the parking lot didn't look too full. The line wasn't out the door, so I swung back around to go in. Only two parties waiting on tables, so we sat to wait. The manager was cleaning tables and directing folks to the next available seat, and we had a table in less than 10 minutes. You probably already know the Waffle House routine if you are reading this. It's loud, tightly crowded and normally busy. Nothing new this time except not super busy when we got there. By the time we left, the line was out the door and growing. Service was excellent. Food was prepared promptly and accurately. Everything was delicious. I have been driving by this location for years, but hadn't been to a Waffle House in probably 10 years. I am very happy we came, and I will have to keep an eye on the parking lot to decide if it is worth stopping. Speaking of the parking lot... It is terrible. You go in at an odd angle and hope you don't get rear ended since you cannot enter quickly. Some spots are at an odd incline, where others are just jammed in the middle of the lot with no real lines or anything making the lot messy with lots of wasted space. Prices have certainly went up from what I remember (LOL), but 4 of us had full meals and plenty of food for about $35. I'll take that over a chain casual American restaurant with sub-par food and even higher prices. read more

Employees had masks pulled down off of their face, if they even bothered wearing one at all. Cooks included. One waitress was all over the restaurant yelling and talking to people with no mask, she did not have a hair cover and was brushing her hair where the food was made. Both my daughter and I are ill tonight from having dinner here. She had a traditional breakfast and the ham steak was so dried out she said it was like salt jerky and could not eat it. Her hash browns were "mushy" from being cooked in low temp oil. My steak wasn't bad but my salad was so limp from being old that I pushed it aside. They removed the price of the ham. My daughter and I were very uncomfortable because there was a guy at the breakfast bar that was just staring at her. He noticed her when we walked in so I had her sit with her back to him so I could keep an eye on him. He watched her the whole time we were there and we ate quickly and left. What should have been a nice dinner breakfast has turned into a Tums night and we will not be going back. read more

I don't ever write reviews, and I know what you're thinking. It's Waffle House, what can you expect? But seriously, this is the worst Waffle House I've ever been to, and I've been to MANY Waffle Houses in my lifetime. The service here is complete crap; aside from the fact that they only had one waitress, and one cook, and the place was completely full, they were rude on top of that. I've never been to a Waffle House where you had to wait to be seated, but when we walked in, there was an open table so we sat down. The waitress was busy, said she'd be right over to take our order, we said okay, blah blah blah. Not long after that, another family came in to eat but the only open table was still dirty. Waitress was still busy, couldn't take our order. Couldn't clean the table. Blah blah blah. No issues really there outside of their control. Except, when the family decided to just bite the dust and eat elsewhere, the waitress and cook talked trash about them and made us feel like they were talking about us too. They said "the sign on the door clearly says please wait to be seated. Not just sit down, anywhere, and people are so impatient." Okay... I didn't know if they were talking about us for just sitting down or not, but it made us uncomfortable. Anyway, we've been sitting here for 25 minutes, we still don't have drinks, and never even ordered them. We're pretty easy to please people too, like we get you're busy. But at least get us drinks while we wait? read more

Oh, where to begin. This place is obviously very poorly managed compared to other Waffle House locations. Our experience started with one of the employees smoking right beside the door to enter. We take our seats in a nearly empty restaurant only to be subjected to the worst service. Apparently the cook was not feeling well, and was sitting at one of the empty counters complaining about her ailments. We didn't realize that she was the only person who knew how to cook anything until we'd been waiting for awhile,and figured it out when her replacement showed up. Whenever I'm in the Dallas Metroplex area I always eat at Waffle House. This time was not any different. We were on our way to Dallas Love Field and picked this location which was on our route. It wasn't a good experience. When we walked in nobody even acknowledged us. No "Good morning we will be right with you, no eye contact or nothing". Then someone walks right in and sits at the bar and gets waited on. There were 7 people behind the counter and 2 empty booths with plates on them. I questioned why nobody acknowledged us and was told they were short-handed and we need to just seat ourselves.There was another couple that came in behind us and no acknowledgement for them either. The nice lady told us that they dont have a greeter or anyone to seat us through the week. And it was a Monday. Well, the table on the right of us was cleaned off first, so we insisted that the other couple take that table, since we wanted the booth by the window. So, the waitress began cleaning the booth off and then she left to pick up her order. When she was finished, the people at the table right behind the dirty table got up to leave and the waitress began cleaning off that table and had not even finished the other table she had started. Needless to say, the booth was never cleaned off, so we left. It was the worst Waffle House experience I've had. I will not go to that location again. We went to the Waffle House in Plano on Spring Creek Pkwy and as soon as we walked in we were greeted with, "Good morning, we'll be right with you". There were only 4 people behind the counter and the waitress was busing tables, cleaning them off, and picking up orders. She took our order within 5 minutes, food was on the table in no time and the food was great like we love it. read more

This Waffle House and the General manager is what every breakfast joint should be. A direct reflection of the staff he has hired and the effort made to be welcoming, friendly and provide a good warm breakfast on a weekend. The Manager "Big Robby Rob" never sits and is working the front door , I've seen him in the parking lot assisting people up the ramp and always a kind word for everyone. Not to mention his great sense of humor. I grew up in big cities all over this country and have been to more breakfast places across the county...... this place is my favorite. My wife and I have been coming here for almost two years , and while we go to Dallas , Frisco , Plano for breakfast at times ..... I always prefer this Waffle House. I believe, because of the staff and atmosphere, word is getting out, as I see more and more folks packing the place. If you are looking for great breakfast , just the staples, fast, old school , busy , staff joking, yelling out orders, friendly patrons , old 1970's decor, a juke box that usually has 80s music, formica counter tops lol and waitress that call you "sugar..... " this is the place. You certainly can't beat the price! Do yourself a favor and check it out! Worst breakfast I've ever had here. The hash browns were only cooked on one side. The other 80% was raw. Half of my omelette ingredients wound up on the floor from the constant over flipping. It's like the cook was either racing the clock or chasing the dragon. They have been out of salsa for "five or six months", like there's only one salsa supplier in the entire world. Arriving at 9am Saturday and there being just a few cars in the lot should have sent up a flag. Sat at the bar and saw at least five health violations in as many minutes. Y'all for a Waffle House this one has it going on! I've been to quite a few WH's in my life and this one may be the best. While it isn't a new restaurant, it's clean and has great staff. My husband and I took the crazy crew (all 4 kiddos) on a busy Saturday morning. Y'all they have a door attendant. The attendant watched us starting to pull kids out of the car and quickly came to hold the door open. He got us all seated and comfy. The waitress was always right on time either taking our order getting drinks out and refilled and the food. Y'all it might've just been the best sober WH food. And they were all so sweet!
