My boyfriend is from Michigan and wanted to visit the infamous Waffle House so I made sure I stopped at a good location for him. It took a minute for us to get seated because we wanted a booth but once seated we ordered immediately. I ordered the pork chops with eggs and grits. He ordered a patty melt with hash browns and a blueberry waffle. They did not disappoint. The food came out fresh off the skillet and tasted great. It didn't take long for our food to arrive either. The staff was friendly and checked on us regularly. I'll be back for another visit one day. I'd highly recommend. read more

Maaaan, every single time I come here, they mess up my order. I'm not mad about it though because I'm normally coming in after a night of drinking and I'm just hungry. I know we've been here a number of times (usually after seeing something at byers). Well food consistently good but it's waffle house. So waffles and scrambled eggs stand out. We went memorial day for late breakfast. Well packed, but service speedy and attentive. Part was they had FOUR managers "in the building " and a person at the door directing traffic and cleaning . One officer got a called and asked for his check, the black female heavy set waitress "Beautiful" told the cop "Don't rush me, I don't care if you're the police." Okay, so we have Waffle House back here in AZ but we gotta have one in Georgia where it all began! We visited for a weekend and thought WH was the way to go for breakfast since we have a long day ahead. It's good ad always. The restaurant itself was clean and we got seated right away. I have been to this Waffle House location for years now and it has always been a pleasant place to go with friends and families. It's very clean and the food is great. I have such a huge respect for fast-food/restaurant employees seeing as how I've worked in the industry for years. I've always paid my own customers with as much respect as I can give . However on 12/29/23 at around 1:42AM During my visit, I had a small order (a sandwich and a soft drink) totaling up to about $5.25ish, I left a tip of 75 cents, intending to express gratitude for the service provided during my brief visit and also to round up a few cents. Regrettably, after I left the tip, the employee (If I remember her name was "Beautiful") handling the transaction proceeded to loudly comment to her colleagues about the amount, making disparaging remarks such as, "Can you believe she gave me .75?!" and "I'd rather her keep it, what the hell am I going to do with 75 cents, I can't even buy gum." What made matters worse was that they clearly intended for me to hear them by implying that "the small one over there" had given her the tip. I kept my head down the entire time while my friends were paying their separate bill. It was clear that they just wanted a reaction from me. This public discussion about the tip, which I intended as a gesture of appreciation for the service, left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected as a customer. While I understand tipping is optional, I did not expect my small gesture to become a topic for public ridicule among the staff. I believe such behavior is unprofessional and does not align with the level of service I would expect from your establishment. I hope this incident can be addressed appropriately to ensure that other customers do not experience similar discomfort in the future. I would appreciate your attention to this matter and any steps taken to address such conduct within your team. read more

One of the most cheery WaHo's that consistently makes great food. There's plenty of parking, but could be challenging if you come on a weekend brunch time. Inside is pretty clean, not sure if it's just a newer store or the staff keep it that way. They are a joyful bunch, often all smiles and singing and cutting up. All the while, they handle the crowded days very well like a well-oiled machine. Speaking of oil, their food hits that greasy craving you get. I've had my usual items: melts, omelettes, bacon and eggs. All of them are cooked well and will hit the spot. You know some Waffle Houses just don't make it quite up to par, but not the issue here. It's a shame the company seems to have gotten rid of the $5 menu. There's still a small "value" section on the menu, but some really good deals are no longer available. read more

Tanis, the assistant manager, was our server. She was very rude and inattentive. Drinks didn't come out for almost 10 minutes and the food came out burnt and cold. Grits were not even warm enough to melt the cheese. It was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a Waffle House. Will never go back despite it being very close to our house. We stood waiting to pay while she ignored us at the register and then went to help other tables without once acknowledging us. The lady behind us had come in for a to-go order and was also not acknowledged. She asked us what was going on and we recommended that she go to a different Waffle House and provided directions to the two nearest Waffle Houses. Don't waste your time here. Never before had such an entitled server that argued with us even about a very flat coke. read more

That same staff is unorganized and couldn't manage to get the food to the table in a reasonable time! Maybe it was an off day for them?! I've been to several Waffle Houses over the years, and I've never waited 30 minutes or more for my food. Well, I did here! There had to be 20 people working at one time, and they just couldn't seem to get it together. Once I received my food, I was disappointed. There were lumps in the grits, the bacon was extremely greasy and undercooked, the sweet tea was watered down and the waffle was gooey! It was 5 of us, and we all got our food about 5-7 minutes apart! I usually set my expectations at bottom level when I venture into place like this, so I guess I shouldn't be disappointed with my experience. Anyway- this location is CLEAN which is not always the norm for WH, so they get one star for that. The other star is for the friendliness of the staff! There are hundreds of Waffle Houses serving up GOOD food in GA- skip this one! read more

We stopped in on a Monday morning before heading to the airport. Our server wasn't particularly chatty but we received everything we asked for. He asked me after taking and standing near the grill if I wanted onions on my Texas Cheesesteak (OF COURSE!) however when I received my sandwich I had to send it back despite the server and cook insisting onions were included. A new, fancier, spic and span version in downtown Sandy Springs with a staff that seems to be more interested in helping clientele, I don't mind visiting this location any time of day or night. The staff was friendly, attentive and got my order right and offered me coffee or hot chocolate while I waited. They were speedy in preparing my order and it was just as I asked. It was still piping hot when I got home. That's service. It was very clean at the bar where I sat waiting and the staff looked well put together. Also, plenty of parking here. Probably the cleanest, neatest WH I have ever been in. ALL of the staff were friendly, and the cooks were super fast. The potatoes were crispy yet tender, and the bacon was nice and crispy.
