I had the Breakfast Special, where for $7, I got a waffle, two eggs, and my choice of two strips of bacon or one sausage. I chose the bacon. I also added strawberries for a topping that added $1.50, I think. Who cares. Great waffle. I should have ordered another one. If you are in the area, you need to come here for breakfast. The restaurant is simple and always clean. They offer yummy, fluffy Belgian waffles. We usually get the Breakfast Special with the waffle, two eggs, and two strips of crispy bacon (you can choose sausage links if you prefer.) Sometimes I'll order the breakfast sandwich and that is delicious! They also offer more dessert-type waffle options with ice cream and fruit. Typically I get a mango, lychee, and pineapple smoothie as well. Sometimes it's just the two of us, but we usually invite our group of friends to meet us there. They get really busy on the weekends during the morning, so plan accordingly. We went today, a Tuesday, around 11, and there was no wait. I decided to visit this restaurant based on a strong recommendation from a good friend. Upon arriving, a family that was leaving was in a very audible conversation about how wonderful the food was. Hearing this, I mentioned that it sounds like I was at the right place. They agreed and told me that the waffles were fluffy, just the right texture, and perfectly topped/filled. So I continues on inside. Jeff, at the counter was fantastic and recommended some of the popular items. Sadly, they were out of the ingredients for the day for making waffle pizzas. We waited almost an hour for food and it really was not worth the wait. The waffles are super dry and have almost no flavor in them. I live on the opposite side of town, but we were in the area for fall festivities and were trying to find a good breakfast place. So glad we found Waffles Cafe! You order at a register, find a place to sit, and they bring everything to you. Everyone we engaged with was so nice, this definitely seems like a family place. We got there probably around 11am on a Sunday and there were plenty of tables, but it quickly filled up after we got there. The guys got the waffle sandwiches and my sister and I got waffles, hers normal and mine with apple pie filling. The waffles also came with eggs and bacon. I got scrambled and they were fluffy and tasty, and the bacon cooked perfectly (I really hate floppy bacon). They were so good! The sandwiches were stuffed full and the guys said they were really good. The normal waffle is quite good, but adding the apple pie filling took it to another level! The tables were clean inside, and the back kitchen looked well-kept. My boyfriend and I decided to try the following Pumpkin Waffle with apple pie filling, Vanilla Ice Cream, Caramel, and Cinnmon Waffle Pizza (SUPREME) Waffle Breakfast Sandwich (Egg/Ham/Syrup) It was soo delicious. My boyfriend ate the waffle pizza and we both ate half of the waffle breakfast sandwich. The Pumpkin Waffle with Apple filling was so delicious. The apples were baked perfect and the vanilla ice cream was a good touch on the waffle.
