    Duck Ramen
    Edward B.

Been wanting to try this place again after a couple years. Had the duck ramen and it didn't disappoint. I say try duck ramen if you've never had it or love ramen. The service was quick and welcoming. Prices weren't too bad as well. I'll be back again

We were heading to Eataly for a shop and lunch which I haven't been to in a year- but the prices were gobsmacking. It was so loud and crowded that I just thought - I don't feel like spending $50 on a pasta dish - so we left and found a wagamama. This is a restaurant I am familiar with from frequenting its clean pan Asian options at th London airport. Here, it was cozy- ask for a table deeper inside in these cold winter weeks- and we warmed up with bowls of ramen - mine was chicken gyoza, a little too sweet but it balanced out with the spicy broth and my husband had the duck - gorgeous leg of duck that was perfectly cooked - and lemongrass ginger infusions . Half the price of Eataly for lunch and very satisfied for a weekend of holiday bustle and shine.

Stopped in for restaurant week! $30 dinner?! Can't beat that. I had the pork and apple bao buns which lacked flavor but were hot and fresh. I also decided to ditched the apple midway through. The chicken teriyaki donburri was delicious. Hot and fresh, flavorful and perfect portion. The banana katsu was the perfect dessert. The breading/ crust was on point. Service was attentive even though the server switched like 3 times, not sure why. Big spacious restaurant, we sat in a both but the other tables are like picnic tables with no back.

After reading a few so-so Yelp reviews I was hesitant about this place but we had just left the Harry Potter store in the Flatiron District and wanted noodles! The restaurant was spacious and modern. The upper level with cherry blossoms hanging from the ceiling was gorgeous. We were seated immediately and the waiter took our order for apps. We had the pork gyoza and the bao buns with pork and apple. The fried apple created such an interesting flavor explosion! Really tasty! Gyoza was fabulous! We ordered the chicken gyoza ramen but asked him to make it not spicy. Very flavorful chicken broth and, again, the gyoza was fantastic. This place is a little pricey, but the quality is top notch. I will say the menu was varied but not a lot that suited my tastes. There were only 3 or 4 choices I would have wanted to order. If you have picky eaters in your party, review the menu first. I'd go back if we are in the area looking for excellent ramen and a beautiful environment.

We had a fun night and great meal at Wagamama. I ordered the spicy tuna bowl and it was delicious. We had a couple Kirin lights with Sake. The service was great and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely come back and would recommend to anyone wanting an Asian infused meal.

This restaurant has THE BEST DEAL in the city, I still can't get over it! Ask the server for the pre-fix menu and for $30 you will have a cocktail, edamame as an appetizer, two baos, a main course and a flight of three sakes to go with it. And if you are thinking the quantities are small, you are wrong! The baos were regular size (by the way, the mushroom bao is out of this world - 10/10) and the entree was huge. I opted for the vegetarian option so one of the baos was sweet potatoes instead of fried chicken and for the entree I chose the veggie katsu. For the main course you can choose between yakisoba, chicken katsu or veggie katsu. Our server was very attentive, friendly and made our experience even better! If you eat upstairs they have beautiful decorations. I can't recommend this place enough.

We stopped by this place for late lunch after a wonderful youth concert for my friend's 10-yr old daughter @ Carnegie Hall and while it was comfortable, it was a bit disappointing for the price. I. ATMOSPHERE (5/5) - No indecision here - it's spacious with chic if not slightly on the nose "Asian" decor but modern and comfortable for large parties. Definitely good for happy hour type gatherings. II. FOOD (3/5) - Food is where it unfortunately fails, as many Asian fusion places do. - Appetizers (2/5) The bao was doughey with not enough filling, gyoza was too sweet, only chili calamari was crunchy and satisfying. - Miso Cod Soba (3/5, Entree) - Flaky cod was pretty good if not a bit under seasoned with miso, soba was cooked perfectly and enjoyable to eat with the veggies, but could have more veggie to balance out the fish. - Grilled Duck Ramen (4/5, Entree) - Great satisfying broth with a big leg of duck perched on top, this was a winner. Generous meat portion that is well cooked, and nice medley of veggies - especially liked good quantity of chilis and scallions. - Chili Chicken Ramen (3/5, Entree) - Nice broth with a kick, chicken a bit dry but satisfying bowl of ramen - Tantanmen Beef Brisket (5/5, Entree) - What I ordered because I wanted some heat. This was really well done. I appreciated the quantity of brisket alongside meaty mushrooms and the comforting chicken broth with great depth & kick. Definitely thawed me out on a windy early spring NYC day! III. SERVICE (3/5) This is another area they faltered a bit. The place is cavernous, and though they weren't too busy this Sunday, we consistently had to wait for more than 5 minutes to speak to our server which was a bit annoying after the 4th time. Our sakes came out late, and items were too spaced out as a result. Place wasn't cheap, and you're in MIDTOWN... shouldn't you do better? Overall, as I half-expected going in as a discerning Asian-American diner, I was disappointed in Wagamama. It's a chain and an Asian Fusion, so you really can't expect too much I suppose. I think it's great option still especially for stuff like work happy hours and stuff, but I would not want to go here for any special meals or even lunches because there're so many authentic ramen houses strewn around the midtown.

The food was flavorful and filling! I love the aesthetic inside with the lighting, making it look clean and spacious. They have long table options, high chairs, and booths. The service was alright as I felt like they were rushing me and am not sure if the second floor was available for dining. The bathroom is upstairs and very nice! Overall, I would go back to try their drinks and rest of the menu.

In a cold winter day you can't ask for any better food to confort you. I sat at the bar ordered a freshly squire Power Juice and gyoza as appetizer. It was light and tasty. Not too doughy. Perfect. Than I had beef brisket Raman. It was the first time I had Raman with kimchi. It was delicious. The meet was tender and flavorful. The broth was light and very satisfying.

Came here with a large group after a workout down the street in the area. The waitstaff was decently attentive, but could have been a little more in top of our needs as it was later 8pm and it didn't seem too full. However they made up for it with a positive attitude and excellent food. The guests I brought were very impressed with the food and ambiance of the restaurant. We enjoyed the juice combos and a slate of appetizers. Without alcohol the dinner came to around $65/person.

The balance juice was absolutely fantastic. Made with mango, apple, and orange, it was so refreshing and a perfect way to start the meal. I also tried the Korean fried chicken bao and the pork belly bao. The pork belly bao was delicious--the pork was crispy, and the panko apple added a wonderful sweet and savory crunch that I loved. The Korean fried chicken bao was just okay for me. The chicken was a generous size, but the flavor wasn't quite what I'd expect from Korean fried chicken.

The service and food was outstanding. I would come back again with just my husband to try more on the menu. The pancakes must be ordered each time I come.

The beef soup is clear and light and the noodles have a delightful texture, with a slight chew and good bounce. There's a good portion of braised beef as well. Tender but a bit fatty for my taste, but given the portion it's not going to kill you. Lamb burger ended up as overkill and will be consumed as leftovers but a quick sampling let me know that it's gamey and fatty with strong notes of cumin. Not a bad thing, but something to note for people that might not generally enjoy lamb or cumin. Black pepper beef rice bowl was solid too. Spice wise, you can calibrate accordingly but I'd recommended at least their regular spice level. Decent amount of tenderized but still chewy beef. Both dishes came with a salad of celery, carrot, cucumber, peanuts and seaweed strips in a light sauce. Couldn't quite figure out the sauce but it was lightly tart and refreshing. Space is clean and modern. Neutral wood, well lit. Service is friendly enough. If you dine in, you order at the kiosk and they'll deliver to your table. We had leftovers that they graciously packed up. Solid choice. I hope they stick around as they do bring a different cuisine to the area.

The Ahi Tuna was the perfect and proper color it should be. The flavors were SPECTACULAR-WONDERFUL!!! NOTE: WAGAMAMA has added to their menu, since my last visit, so you now have a RAMEN SELECTION, and other yummy additions. I was too full from my spectacular Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl to try the Korean bbq Chicken Wings ($8.95) but, I will definitely be back to try them!! I'll post menu photos so you have an idea of the delicious food choices. (April 2026) My very first delicious bite of Ahi Tuna had a heavenly garlic flavor, it was wonderful, and the sweet green seaweed with rice only added to the wonderfulness. Vertical slices of cucumber, onion and scallion, also add deliciously to my wonderful Poke Bowl. Toasted sesame seeds, too. SIMPLY MARVELOUS!!! Remember to be sure to mix the poke bowl rice as you eat, so that you mix the rice with the yummy sauce that may accumulate at the bottom of the poke bowl. I usually eat a little while, THEN, mix the rice. This was so good, I had to eat, eat, eat, before I could stop to mix. LOL. That sweet green seaweed was so yummy!! A lovely mix of flavors...the garlic, the sweetness....I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH!!!! When was the last time you enjoyed a dish so very much that you felt like standing up in the restaurant and telling everyone: THIS IS SOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Well, I felt like that, but I didn't stand up and tell everyone, but I did tell the manager, who happen to come to the table to ask how everything was. And I let him know how much I was enjoying the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. He explained why and how the tuna was so flavorful. We had a delightful brief foodie chat. What a joy!! The service is very nice here. I like the atmosphere too. And the music, which is cool; it does not interfere with thinking, or having a conversation. I really like it here . The women's rest room was very nice, and clean, with a Dyson Hand Dryer, so no paper towels on the floor. Yay! Helping our environment, too!! And I like the black and white wall paper, too. See my photos My last visit I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the same non-alcoholic beverage, " Asian Mint Limeade", from the MINDFUL DRINKS area on the beverage menu. ($9.50) (April 2026). A nice treat! It does have a light carbonation (bubbles). This visit my delicious meal was from the BOWLS SECTION of the food menu, it was the AHI TUNA POKE BOWL ($17.95) (April 2026) With warm, and hot weather on the way, I know I will be enjoying this AHI TUNA POKE BOWL again...and again! If you love good food, good service, and a very cool environment, put this location of WAGAMAMA on your list ! (East side) LOCATED On THIRD AVE, at East 39th Street. There is OUTDOOR SEATING, too, with red umbrellas. See my photos. Enjoy yourself here. Totally delightful. There are several locations in Manhattan. I did not know that. We were guided toward the back, past white marble tables with beautiful mustard colored velvet chairs to the long countertop facing the open kitchen. We scanned QR codes to pull up the menu, and despite no omakase noodle offerings to be found, decided to stay because the menu options they did have sounded too good to pass up. Of course they had classic shio and miso ramens, but they also had a duck tsukumen, a red snapper ramen, a black truffle ramen, and the dish I set my sights on-- the uni mazemen. There were also lots of appetizers and a long list of high end onigiri featuring proteins like scallop lemon shio, A5 wagyu ponzu, and bluefin chutoro on offer. This place was the real deal. Our group shared the tebasaki wings-- so crispy and so flavorful, I could have inhaled a whole plate of these. The salmon, ikura, and apple appetizer that was served in a glass chalice was superb but even better was the bluefin tuna avocado sashimi with wasabi. That one was a winner across the board. And then my uni mazemen, which really stole the show. There was a very generous portion of uni that mixed with the savory sauce and al dente ramen noodles perfectly. This dish was rich, unctuous, and fresh and definitely delivered in value, though it was double the price of most other noodle bowls. Uni is a delicacy. Having just returned from a second trip to Japan I can say this place is really as good as any restaurant I visited in Japan, and it's right here in Murray Hill. These Murray Hill bros are lucky.
