Their reservation doesnt really work. They'll put you down on the waiting list once you're inside. Expect to wait for an hour. There is a 90 minutes timer that the system goes by. The timer start once they light your bbq at the table even though you might not be at the table yet because they might still be cleaning or you're still getting everyone seated or getting your kids into places. Really dumb system since you can waste like 20min. Then you have to look at the menu and put in the order. It takes like 10mins to bring out food. Cooking food takes time too. You can't eat peacefully at all since you're in a rush. Their ordering system is a complete mess. I have order stuff that came out differently as well. My advice is to just order the entire list But it's $35 for ayce so you cant really complaint. Go here with a game plan to eat. It's just like eating at an expensively priced buffet but with better quality food that's reasonably priced. Chose the Silver level which is about $35. This includes American Wagyu meat, some seafood, sushi, appetizers, ramen, and desserts. American Wagyu - definitely not as tender and buttery as the Japanese Wagyu meat. Like the hanger steak the most. The other cuts were pretty lean that were not as tender. Bulgogi was good. Well marinated, sweet, thinly sliced with tender texture. Just wish it didn't have too much gristle. The Garlic shrimp was juicy and sweet and not overwhelming garlicky. Sushi - had the Lion King and the Ocean King rolls. Both good with well seasoned rice and good protein to rice ratio. They didn't skimp on the ingredients. I like how they only give 4 pieces at a time so I can try the other food. Ramen and Rice Bowl- Had the garlic ramen which was had a mild Tonkotsu broth with hint of garlic. Not sure if it's supposed to have chashu on it because mine didn't have it. It still has a slice of jelly egg. The Wagyu Clay Pot Rice was also good. Rice was covered in teriyaki like sauce with some garlic flavor. It had pieces of beef. Not as good as when they were still Xian but it was still yummy. Tempura shrimp was hot and crunchy. It didn't come with the tempura dip so I used the sweet soy on each table. I read mixed reviews before coming here so not sure what to expect. We came in on time for our reservation and weren't seated until an hour or so after. This would've been fine if the waitress didn't lie and tell us our table was being cleaned when it clearly wasn't. (multiple times btw). Ambiance was like your every korean bbq place. I thought people were exaggerating when they said the meat was tough. There were some cuts like tn hanger steak that was okay, but for "wagyu" meat, i think you're better off going somewhere else. The sushi was okay and i enjoyed the appetizer sashimi plates. The portions were so small, but if you order everything every three minutes, you should be able to get what you want to try. We did have an issue with our orders being marked as completed multiple times without actually getting our order. Our server was amazing and running around different tables, but still managed to be attentive toward us. Best part of the night honestly. Came here to capitalize on their weekday lunch AYCE deal. Can't beat $25 for AYCE meat, but come with low expectations! Rating Breakdown: 0.5/2 Stars for Taste -- There's not much wagyu about the meat selections here. Every cut is super thin, like grilling a hot pot meat. The "steak" was so lean, it looked like a piece of sirloin. The bulgolgi was overmarinated and would just dissolve in your mouth, not much texture at all. The only cut that we enjoyed was the plate meat so we just spammed that for our orders. We also tried the shrimp, salmon, pork belly, and sausage for fun...they were all average. I did like the smoked salt that comes tableside. There are also other dipping sauces including ponzu, spicy miso, and sweet soy. We started to get a little bored of the meats so we branched out to try the shrimp tempura and chicken karaage. These taste like fast food fixings, not bad but not amazing. The sushi rolls have both raw and cooked options, which was perfect since my mom doesn't eat raw fish. Quality-wise on par with an American sushi restaurant and a step above grocery store sushi. When visiting an AYCE restaurant, there are some preparations I take. For example, if it's dinner, I'll have a very light lunch before noon or skip lunch all together. If I'm unfamiliar with the menu and size of each item, I will start with the lowest package on my first visit, in this case the Silver menu. The meat quality was decent. Most were sliced thin and cook quickly. The choices for their cuts of beef were good. The options to choose sushi and appetizers were appreciated by my party and they even had a nice selection of salad bar items. This place was busy but my party arrived early enough to be seated right away. This restaurant is located in the 99 Ranch plaza with many other eateries. This place is great! They have a few different pricing tiers to pick from depending on the items you're after. I went gold which is the middle tier for $45 per person. Nice selection of sushi rolls and limited meats, I believe 8 meats in total. Quality is there and the service was excellent. Non alcoholic drinks were included in the package pricing. They did measure my 4 year old to determine his pricing which is odd but all in all a very positive experience. I will warn those coming on a weekend that this might be in the busiest parking lot in the Bay Area. It's incredibly stressful to find parking and you will be battling for a space. Nah this was legit. Would definitely go again. It's a great price for both lunch and for the silver menu. All portions in a bowl are small, like the size of a small rice bowl. The clay pot is bigger, like 2x of those bowls. This allows you to eat a large variety of items. Of them, we found everything good and most great. The only miss really was the chicken karaage. You get beef fat to render onto the grill to get the leaner cuts nice. The salmon sunomono was great too but you need to want to eat lettuce. The jellies were great too. They have automatic salt and pepper grinder on the side and the salt there is flavored and tastes pretty good. The meat isn't marinated, which makes it so the grill doesn't burn as quickly nor will you get full as quickly. All of it needs some salt so make sure you grab some. The bulgogi and hangar steak were excellent for me. My fiancée prefers the top round which was more often then no well-marbler. I think the plate meat was the worst cut for us. The black garlic ramen was supreme. Do go for it if you can tolerate garlic. The cucumbers are missing salt so make sure to get some for them too. The service here is more attentive then most and they're really quick with bringing you your dishes in a timely manner. It's also not too sticky here. Good stuff. read more

Very disappointing experience. We waited over 1.5 hours on the waiting list before being seat and the food came out extremely slow. I ordered sushi at the beginning, but it never arrived until the very end, only after I spoke with the manager. Meat dishes came in small portions (5-6 plates each time), and then we had to wait another 10-15 minutes for more. When I talked to the manager, he said our order wasn't found in the system and asked us to order again. But when we got the bill, the receipt showed all the items we had originally ordered -- the same ones that never came out. I really don't understand how the kitchen system works or how the orders were being handled. By that point, I honestly didn't even feel like eating anymore. We ordered some meat and it was never brought. So we had to order again and wait. And since we were waiting staff would come and turn off heat since they thought we were done eating. Absolutely this is a hidden budget place for AYCE Australian Wagyu beef. I tried the lunch menu and it's totally worth it. I like Wagyu bulgogi which is more fatty than the others but it's marinated. The Wagyu beefs are fatty itself but with ponzu sauce, it's good. Whatever $25 for WAGYU AYCE!! Including sides,appetizer and sushi as well. Sushi rolls are not bad, I feel they are fresh. I also tried the takoyaki, so yummy, my fav!!!! For portions, they are not big for some plates, so you can try every items if you want. You can scan the QR code and order on your own, so convenient. I saw a lot of good reviews for beef rice bowl but the portion is big for me so I didn't try. They have salad and fruit bar but not that much options. We had a pretty disappointing experience here with the quality of food, arrival speed/accuracy of ordered items, and availability of salad bar items. The one highlight was our waiter who did a stellar job, though it unfortunately couldn't make up for the other issues. FOOD QUALITY - Everything we ordered from the Gold Course was solidly mediocre at best. There was no single item that I would have wanted to order again. Obviously we did re-order some meat just to get some value out of it, but we were really forcing it down at that point. Garlic ramen was the one item that I might want to try again, but only for the broth, because the noodles had a strange consistency. FOOD ACCURACY - We had a feeling we were missing some items, but it was difficult to pinpoint which ones. The staff handing out the meats was different from our waiter, and it turns out they had mistaken some of the cuts. We only fully figured everything out on our last round when we received some meat we had never seen before (but had definitely ordered before). ORDER SPEED - You place orders on your phone (QR code menu). There were some issues with it at first, but after some time, our waiter was able to get it up and running correctly. But we ended up waiting over 20 minutes for our 2nd round of meat, and it didn't get all that much better in subsequent rounds. At one point we had to flag our waiter about it and he found out our order had been mistakenly taken to another table?? Our 90 minutes came up really fast due to slow arrival speeds which was disheartening. We were still allowed to eat, but it didn't matter too much since our food came so slowly. SALAD BAR - There's one section with seaweed salad, pickled radish, kimchi cabbage, kimchi cucumber, beansprouts, and seasoned peanuts. These were actually pretty good! Basic, but it helped cut through the...everything of the meat. There was another section with actual salad, which I didn't partake in. There was Chinese buffet-style chocolate cake there at one point, but they ran out some time around 8pm. In another section was red and mango jello. The mango jello also ran out before our meal ended. Overall, there seems to be major issues in the back/kitchen's end. The waiter was overall extremely apologetic about everything, but he couldn't singlehandedly save the experience. We were getting everything slowly, incorrectly, and it just...didn't taste good. The grill itself was pretty nice though--Better than the ones at Gen, I'd say. We walked out extremely disappointed, but at least we weren't smelling overwhelmingly of smoke. read more

On table, there are 3 sauces of sweet soy sauce, ponzu and chilly. I mixed all three then made my own sauce for better taste with Wagyu. Special made me happy was SHELLY ( waitress) came ask me if we celebrate birthday of any family member. I said that's my birthday, then she cheered me up with a free cocktail.
