A friend started taking me to this diner when I came to visit her and it has since become our regular place to eat when we don't know what to eat. Wahi's is humble, not pretentious and full of kindness. There's one lady in particular who works Friday nights normally and is the most genuine person. Never gets an order wrong and is attentive without being overbearing. For me if you can do the simple things good, I'll keep coming back. I always order a ham omelette with home fries and a side of white toast with butter/grape jelly. Never fails to fill my belly and leave me satisfied. Sure the atmosphere could definitely be worked on but nonetheless, we all go for the food and warm service. If you're struggling with what to decide to eat, take a trip to Wahi's, they have pages on menu items and I'm sure something will grab your attention. If all else fails, order a ham omelette. I promise it's delicious. TIP- Sunday-Thursday open till 11pm Friday and Saturday open till 1am

The breakfast was amazing I had waffles with strawberries on top and bacon with eggs , sausage With a side of morisoñando which is (orange juice and milk) bomb btw ; My partner got the buttermilk pancakes with sausage eggs and bacon The service was so fast and very attentive & The ambiance was normal you could just hear others talking but I would definitely recommend this diner for breakfast since I haven't came for dinner or lunch yet but overall you would have a nice filling and beautiful breakfast. I will definitely be back for sure!

ok diner but not impressed. The moment you walk in it has a real diner vibe. The waitress that took care of my table was great and funny. So let's start with my sandwich. It was no wherwhere near what you'd expect from a French dip. The meat was dry and it had a funny flavor. Almost cinnamon like. I also had to ask for gravy as it came with none. Dry sandwich, bad meat, almost no cheese. Yeah I'd say i won't be coming by anytime soon.

Waffle deluxe + a side of eggs.

Pretty easy, no frills dinner. I stopped in for a quick breakfast and had the waffle deluxe, which was massive. The dish came with a Belgian waffle (obviously), sausage, bacon, and ham. I also added an order for scrambled eggs for $1.75. Because what's a waffle meal without a side of eggs? Overall the meal was pretty average. I will say that the sausage links did taste a bit rubbery, but other than that, I did not have any major complaints. My waitress was pretty much on point with everything. Is it the nicest looking diner? Nope. For the price and service, it is pretty decent.

While we were seen quickly and our server was very nice, the food was mediocre and quite bland.

The best Diner in NYC to visit, the food was excellent, the staff was great plus the owner was very welcoming and gave us free dessert.

Great diner. Great service. Good prices. Breakfast the way it's meant to be. They know how to scramble an egg.

They were good and the drinks were flowing. We did order the sampler and was overwhelmed by the size of the thing. The platter took the entire table. It came w curly fries, wings, nachos, mozz sticks and loaded fries...all delicious and we destroyed the platter. Good vibes and chill. It was my first time here but id definitely come back! For drinks, I had the Lagunitas IPA Non-alcoholic. Super delicious and refreshing. Very interested in how it tastes compared to the one with alcohol. Salmon Burger and French fries, a butter lettuce, with tomato, red onion, and chipotle aioli. Super Delicious and pretty big, I also added bacon to it. The French fries were super crunchy and muy bueno. The services have nice and good did a good job with the table. The first time, I ordered the make your own omelet with was delicious and made me want to go home and try my culinary talents. Soft, fluffy and the ingredients I chose, avocado, bacon and cheese made it add up fast. This was a pricey omelet. But there were no greens so I asked my waitress where were my greens. She said my dish doesn't come with greens. I thought she was mistaken but took her word for it. I thought to myself that I would swapped my potatoes for greens but ‍... The next day I went back to get the same thing and saw on the menu that greens does come with my custom omelette and felt like I had no recourse. I did order the same thing and the pic reflects that. So come here because the menu is actually great with a few staple items that I could eat every day but check your sides.

Well, I had decided to go here for my birthday back in 2020 when The Pandemic had happened so, I ate outside, I never made it inside. When Covid happened a lot of changes because I had to scan the QR code on the back to get the menu because to limit contact between others. The service was spot on , they were attentive. Now the food and drinks I had was ice water. A Pina Colada I've never had, but was disappointed because they watered down, I didn't taste any alcohol. I just had cheeseburger and french fries , which I couldn't finished. I also a fish taco which I never had before and it was delicious and I knew that they used fresh grease because of how they looked. I would go back out here for two reasons to check out the inside and for those fish tacos.

They were offering the Restaurant Week menu, so we decided to take advantage of that. This included a drink, along with 3 courses, consisting of Appetizer, Entree, and Dessert. For the drink, I selected the Lazy River and only non alcoholic option, which consisted of Coconut, pistachio, mint, rosewater, lime, as well as seltzer. This was a bubbly, refreshing drink that was strong in Coconut and Lime. I had the Fried Calzone with sausage, tomato, mozzarella, and pecorino as the appetizer. This was 2 huge beautifully made Calzones, however there was barely any sausage. It was full of thick, melty cheese and well seasoned tomato sauce. The outer shell was wonderfully crispy. I just really expected and wanted to taste Sausage, so I was disappointed. I tried my friend's Buttermilk Fried Chicken, and I'm usually not that impressed by chicken, but I enjoyed this. The Fried Chicken was satisfyingly crunchy, tender, and flavorful. My entree was The Garrison Burger, which was a beef burger with raclette, confit onions, burger sauce, gem lettuce, and french fries. This was just okay. The meat was cooked well, but a little on the bland and dry side. The cheese with onion and sauce was a nice addition. Fries were thick, delightfully crispy with great potato taste. Dessert was Bread Pudding with sour cherries and buttermilk caramel. This was not a traditional Bread Pudding for me, but I did enjoy the rich, creamy caramel, as well as the cherries, which are my favorite fruit! I found the Bread Pudding itself to be thick, dense, and sweet from the caramel sauce. Service was pretty good. I wasn't that impressed by the food, but next time I would like to try the Piggyback Dates appetizer made out of dates wrapped in bacon with cheese inside.
