It's St Patrick's day and we walked from MGM Springfield to watch the Red Sox game. The restaurant was nearly empty but we went to sit at the bar to watch the game. Not what I expected. The cons: hamburger patties are not flavorful, I don't even think they add salt, their signature sauce had too much ketchup, the bacon was super porky and their fries were just ok. Pros: the government cheese was everything, the grilled bread was good too, the mustard sauce was yummy. Next time I will only order a grilled cheese with extra government cheese. Looking for a lunch place on a Sunday afternoon with a six year old, we gave Wahlburgers a shot. We walked in and were seated right away. We were greeted by our waitress, and ordered some drinks. It took awhile for the drinks to come. Service was slow, and it looked like just a couple of waitresses were serving the whole place. We waited for drinks, food, and especially just to pay. Food was pretty good. I like the fiesta burger, double patty, and flavorful seasoned juicy burger. The fries were boring and bland. My wife said the salmon salad was very good. Located a block from MGM. Hostess friendly and service was attentive. This time I actually had the fish sandwich and tots. Both were crispy. My husband had a burger and tots which he liked. My only complaint is that the size of the fish and burger were pretty small for $15. Hopefully this is only temporary until inflation and shrinkflation improve. read more

The burger was very good but not memorable. The sweet potato tots flavor was good but the texture was soft on the inside the regular tots had a better texture. The service was very good and friendly. I think I just expected more from the hype. Two burgers one with tots one with upgraded tots the Buffalo chicken bites ( they were just ok) a water and a regular shake was just over $50. I would go again if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way for them. On a side note I travel a lot and eat out about 4-5 nights a week so it takes quite a bit to impress me. read more

This was a great venue. The host/hostess service could use some work but after that it's all uphill from there. The nacho cheese bacon tots were great and the fried pickles were even better! Not to hate on the tots at all because they were awesome but the fried pickles may of been the best seasoned/tasting I've ever had! I had the OFD burger and fries, I highly recommend a bit of ranch to go with the fries as they compliment each other well. The burger was decent although next time I would skip the tomato paste on it as it distracts from the rest of the flavors I think. Their chocolate shakes are also delightful on a steamy hot day. The real angus beef burger was yummy delicious because of the special dressing they use called Paul's wahlsauce ( Mayo/ ketchup/ paprika etc) for the classic burger I ordered. It is a 30-35 min wait though to be seated for now. And they don't want all the tables to be filled with customers which is baffling as they're losing money on this. Visited Wahlburgers when MGM announced them as one of their new restaurants. I was immediately disappointed that this was apparently an 'MGM Restaurant' but I couldn't use my rewards card to pay. That aside, the service was great - everyone was super friendly; and the food came out quickly. The tots were great and the burger was fine - but that's all I can really say about it. It reminded me of a burger from Sonic, also delicious, but for twice the price - I spent over $20 for a burger, tots and a fountain drink. Went today 8/1/2023 @ 1 PM for lunch. It took about 5 minutes to get seated and when our server came over she seemed a little Frazzled and new. She tried to open a bottle of Mexican Coke with her hands when I told her that it needs a bottle opener she looked at me like I was crazy. She forgot my side of Walsause and had to track her down to get it. She never even came over to check on us to see how our food was. Cheese sauce bland. Restaurant is very noisy. Definitely will not return, especially with the Red Rose right next door. But let me tell you yes burgers are good but for the prices not so much I believe that any restaurant and this restaurant is not fancy but any restaurant serving burgers shouldn't charge extra for fries,fries should automatically come with the burger. To me walburgers is just a name driven off from family name through famous brothers who happen to invest which is good families helping families. But perhaps it would be more respected if it wasn't publicized as to the fact that the brother who so called chef who just makes over priced burgers without fries that are mediocre that you have to pay separately.
