My wife had never been so I decided to introduce her...... food was mediocre compared to the way I remember it. 3 days of subsequent stomach issues and frequent trips to the bathroom for both myself and my wife lead me to not go back. However, the parking here is terrible so I can't give this place the full 5 stars a restaurant deserves. I think they should either (a) relocate & take parking into consideration, or (b) buy a bigger parking lot. Where do I start? The worst Wahoo's experience ever. I let my boyfriend and son order first since I was still deciding. Then, while I was ordering my food, the guy asked, "will that be all for you?" Um, hello I'm ordering! So, I repeat "Cajun chicken enchilada, black beans brown rice." He asked what kind of salsa? I asked him which was hotter and he said green. So I said ok green. I like flavorful but not spicy fish, and the Wahoo sandwich (essentially a torta) was bland. The not-spicy fish wasn't great and the sandwich didn't have good amounts of guacamole or cheese (so it was kind of dry). I prefer Malibu Fish Grill in Huntington for fish tacos. read more

Chicken salad is great. No dressing needed. The salsa and guacamole is all you need. Get there early during lunch hour. Parking is a bit tight and the line can get long. Somehow it took them around 40 min to put 3 dishes together. The woman at the counter (since I am polite, I won't call her out on Yelp by mentioning her name) but wow she was rude, acted like I was bothering her by picking up my food and I asked to buy an iced tea with cash since I had already paid for the food online, she practically threw my change at me ... I thought it was just me .. but no, I watched her interactions with a couple other guests and turns out she just doesn't like anyone. When I got home ..I opened up the food .. no lettuce and the most meager 1/2 spoonfulls of old salsa on our bowls .. no lettuce whatsoever .. I just don't get it .. This is the original Wahoos. It is the best. I feel it is the best because for some reason whenever I eat there it seems to be just a little bit better tasting than the others. It is also awesome that it is never overly busy when I go there for dinner. I love to eat here at least once a week. The Shrimp Burrito- Wet W/ Green Sauce is my personal favorite. Please - clean up your act. First off- I LOVE the food at Wahoo's! I frequent the location in Lake Forest and make it to this location on Bristol once in a while. I usually go with the citrus slaw burrito, no rice, and for the protein I get the spicy chicken. ASK FOR THEIR SPICY RED salsa - it is a great combination. The salsa is so good - they should sell it as a to-go in jars. They service has always been good there in my experience, which has always been around the 5 PM time. ALAS - the place doesn't look like it has been cleaned since they opened (which must have been years ago). The inside seems to be OK, but by looking out the nice windows I can hardly see outside because they are so dirty. Hope the rest of the restaurant (especially the kitchen!) isn't as dirty as the windows. May want to give some thought to at least a window cleaning service on a semi-regular basis. read more

Went here with the cheap date coupon. Good restaurants do NOT need to give out free meals on Valentines Day My boyfriend warned me that the white rice is sometimes crunchy. The ordering area is small and cramped and the hallways to the seating area are narrow and only allow one person single file. I felt a touch of claustrophobia in there. There is only one exit which is the entrance and back through the narrow hallway. Sure enough the white rice was crunchy, like al dente, but this is NOT an Italian restaurant. Chef Gordon Ramsey says one of the basic aspects of being an excellent chef is to taste the food. The people are obviously too busy here to do that. You end up having to buy 3 meals with the coupon because the rice is so bad. AND the beans were way too spicy, boo! Let me add my own salsa. Mediocre food. I went to this through the suggestion of my boyfriend. I had really high hope for it since I have always loved fish tacos. I ordered the spicy blackened fish burritos. The burrito was pretty small. It barely filled me up.The fish was dry and barely had any flavor. Through out the whole burrito, the only sensation I experienced from it is pretty much spiciness. My boyfriend enjoyed it because he likes his fish dry. I prefer my fish to be on the tender side. 2 stars for the food. One of the worst Wahoos. Every time I have ordered from here it's a huge disappointment in the quality of their food. Last week my take out order of the spicy fish that was in the kale kai salad was completely over cooked and unable to eat. I called to speak with the manager, was given to the supervisor to get my money back and after listening to my complaint she then hung up on me and so I immediately called back to finish what I thought would be my refund over the phone. And come to find out after no apology of hanging up on me. She failed to tell me that I had to drive back to Wahoo's to receive my refund. The supervisor was unprofessional, rude and unable to accommodate my refund over the phone. How is that possible?! I was already there once to pick up my order and now I have to drive back there because your cooks messed up. Absolutely appalled by this. I am over giving my money to this place and will continue to spread the word of their poor quality in food as well as the service they have provided me. read more

Up front I found the cashier or order taker, Yolanda name tag but Selene on the docket?, considerably rude. No one else in line and I was looking at the menu and drink refrigerator when she abruptly said, "Let me know when you ready." I looked around to confirm that I was the only customer and I was. My reply was swift and apologised for my custom. I nearly walked out at that point however nearby lunch options were limited. Salmon bowl was ordered and no drinks. It did translate to an unenjoyable lunch experience. On the flip side I found the food very good. Salmon maybe a little over cooked, coleslaw could have been a more generous portion and brown rice and black beans was what it was. Other waiters and staff in restaurant were very pleasant.
