One of the best sushi places I have eaten at in Missouri! I eat sushi a lot and this place is so delicious that when I visit Branson I eat here at least two to three times, even if I'm only staying for a couple of days The 'Awesome Roll is self explanatory and is the dish my husband I buy 2 of every time we come. It's topped with lobster!! The soup is great as well as their other non sushi meals. The bugolgi is delish and one of the most tender pieces of beef I've ever eaten. The chicken dishes are tender and flavorful as well. And one of the best things about eating here is there foods not over salted so unless you soak every bit in the soy then you don't have to worry about the water retention you would if were to eat just regular Chinese/Japanese style dishes. The service is always amazing, very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is perfect the decor is simple and understated and it's always very clean. The bathrooms are always spotless. We've never waited long to get our appetizers or rolls and even if we did we wouldn't care. It's worth it. As crazy as it seems my husband and I have made plans to travel 4 hours from home to come here and we then we planned all other things around our dining out at Wakyoto!!! I even brought my daughter and her friend here for her birthday and they loved it as well, which says a lot since sushi's an acquired taste and most kids don't care for it all. Of course they loved the awesome roll and the hey 76 roll. If you're in the area or even if your not it's worth the travel and the cost in my opinion are very fair. Ok so my wife and I really wanted this to be a good experience and since we had seen so many good reviews for the sushi and service. We were extremely disappointed. Our server came by after about 5 mins to get our drink orders. Ok there had been a large group ahead of us so no worries well we got our drinks shortly after than ended up waiting for at least 15 min before he came back for our order. When we ordered my wife ordered another drink since it had taken awhile for him to come by. By this time another couple had been seated and they recieved their appetizers before my wife got her second drink and she had to flag down our server because he apparently had forgotten that she ordered one. The couple that was seated after us actually received their order before ours came in and they were seated after we had ordered. We finally recieved our sushi after a bad apology from our server after we had complained. The sushi itself was good but they must have cooked their rice wrong or something because the rolls were falling apart very easily. Also the server never took away the any of the empty dishes / bottle. They brought us an pork dumplings as an apology without asking if we wanted it which if he had, would have found out that we dont eat pork so yeaaa thanks but no thanks read more

Labor Day weekend. Walked in and stood in line forever. Open tables all over the place. They weren't seating anyone. Finally sat the people ahead of us. We were next. Had been waiting about 45 min. Plenty of open tables. They asked us to wait 10 more minutes. After 15 more minutes we left. What a waste of time. Very disappointed and wasted all that time for nothing. The service at Wasabi is excellent. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. I haven't eaten much sushi, but I really have liked everything I have eaten at Wasabi. I would highly recommend the 'Bling Bling'. They have recently remodeled, and the decor is quite nice. It is located on the strip, so it is very easy to find. I would consider the prices to be what you'd expect to pay anywhere for a decent restaurant. This is one of the places that I request to go to when we visit Branson. read more

We found the majority of Branson to be overrated in terms of hype, cost, and lines. This place was an exception. We travel all over the world, and landlocked cities simply don't have good sushi (except at exorbitant prices). The sushi here is above average in our experience, the service was excellent, and best of all - no lines, even for dinner over 4th of July weekend. While we may not return to Branson, we will recommend this place to friends (as well as the Indian place in the same strip, though good luck getting a table there). We had been in Branson for two days and were already tired of fried, amusement park food. We decided on this place based on the reviews. We LOVED it! We both ordered the dinner box recommended by another yelper. Our meals were fresh, light, and delicious. Our waitress, Emma, was a character. We enjoyed her. Our recent visit to Wasabi was disappointing. Our waitress "forgot" to bring water. When we ordered our food she asked if we wanted white or fried rice. Since neither of us much cared about the rice, we said "fried." It came with the meal and was dry and tasteless, but there was an extra $4.00 charge on the bill. Hubby inquired about that and was told it was because we chose the fried rice. Who knew?? I guess others did and that may be why it was so dry and left-over tasting. Stopped in here wanting some sushi. Atmosphere was nice and they had a huge selection of rolls. They didn't know what the "shaggy dog" was so I don't know what that means, they have it in Texas so maybe it's called something different here. The "uncle sam" looked to be the closest to it. Anyways I branched out and tried the wakyoto special roll and it was very tasty. Shrimp was fresh without the fishy taste that sometimes accompanies some sushi. The seared salmon was nice as well and the spicy crap topping had the perfect amount of heat. The only thing I was concerned about is the coldness of the top of the roll. Half the roll was hot and the top half was cold due to the amount of sauces on top. Some people may like this but personally I dont. Still fairly new to eating sushi and trying new sushi types so it may just be me. I also noticed the pickled ginger was white here while I'm used to seeing it pink, again no big deal tastes the same. read more
