But from a customer service standpoint, you could forget it. Literally one guy to do everything behind the counter. As a result, even three or four people in line are going to take forever. While in line, a guy came in with a backpack and must have stolen seven or eight items. But guess what? As the owner of this particular location, when you only have one person working behind the counter, you're inviting that type of individual who will take advantage of that chaos. Street people are smarter than most others give them credit for. That's why they have what they call Street smarts!

I was really curious as to how I could shop and walk out without scanning and paying at a checkout. Apparently, there are cameras and shelves are weighted, supposedly. If something is removed, it's assumed that I was purchasing it. There were helpful employees ready to answer questions, and they offered free reusable bags for me to use. I walked out with a few things and a receipt was emailed to me hours later. I was also able to see the itemized receipt on my Amazon purchase history. There was a minor mistake on the receipt for some taco seasoning that I was charged for since I picked it up to look at, but put it back without purchasing. Not a big deal since I got other items on sale. It was an interesting concept overall.

I responded that there were still three minutes remaining before closing and that I just had an Amazon return, which she heard, but she did not offer a professional response or closing remark. The male employee working at the time heard her and knew I was trying to get inside before 8:00 pm and also did not assist me. They just both walked away without saying sorry or anything. Despite having no customers present, both employees chose to stop service before the official closing time. This was unprofessional and disappointing, especially given that it occurred on Christmas Eve when I made an effort to arrive before closing.

On the second trip a couple weeks later I needed a birthday card and a gift card. Figured I'd be in and out within 5 minutes but again had to wait 10+ minutes to pay. There were two cashiers, plus customers paying at the photo counter, but each customer transaction seemed to take forever. And still... no inventory of shoelaces. I stayed at the counter only because I wasn't sure of the whole process, but I saw the gentleman put my coffee in this little basket and I waited a little bit to see if they would call my name but they didn't so I finally had to go up there and ask if the coffee was mine and it was. Not sure why they asked for our names if they're not gonna call them out. Luckily, I was standing there the whole time, but there was confusion before me with somebody getting somebody else else's coffee, and I think it had to do with the fact that they don't really announce when your coffee is ready. Once I had my coffee, I paid at the register which I had to stand in another line and they charged me a fee, which was questionable, but I already had my coffee and had waited in two lines already.
