Avoid this store! No respect for seniors (or any customer for that matter). No respect for customers' time. This is a titan that is getting chipped away by the small little competitors. My experience this Sunday, May 3rd, in the afternoon: I am a senior citizen. I had two orders (using two different debit cards) on one cart with 21 items, four of them were peroxide duplicates, and several other items were duplicates too. I had to use two cards because one order was from my Nations Benefit Card. The Walmart girl told me to go into the self-checkout lines which were empty (at least 6 were open). The regular cash register girls were all busy. So I gladly pushed my cart to self checkout. As I was scanning, a chubby little young Hispanic girl with glasses stopped me and told me to go the cashier line because I had too many items. I told her that the first Walmart girl ushered me into self-checkout. She told me, "I don't care, those are the rules." Then I remarked politely that I have two orders on two cards with many duplicate items. I pointed the regular cash register manned machines that were all busy (!). She said, "I don't care, those are the rules. You need to go to the regular registers." I told her she had no discretion and that she was full of baloney. (She did not understand what the word "discretion" meant.) So rather than escalate this I put things back in my cart and went to the regular checkout. Then, a scruffy security thug shows up and I hear what was probably the head cashier (an older Walmart lady, presumably the area manager), yell, "Don't let them get away with that!" She was referring to me, as if I was doing something illegal. The bloated security guard was standing there like they were about to be robbed by me. (LOL). What an unprofessional joke this store is. Very poorly managed with the employees running the store like they are little kings and the customers are the enemy. Corporate seems to be oblivious to anything other than sticking it to the consumer. This is why most of us are going to Amazon and alternative stores like Grocery Outlet, Trader Joes, etc. More experiences: 1. Try buying anything in the cabinets in the personal care section. You will wait forever. It's a joke. And so will the others in the same queue in front of you. Walmart has insufficient staff to open the cabinets for customers. Waiting more than 2 minutes is inexcusable. I go to Trader Joes instead. Walmart corporate management too lost to realize that customers go to another store. 2. Try buying a bottle of liquor. This QR code crap and APP baloney is ridiculous. Give us a human. 8. Last time we checked out national language is English. This constant Spanish music broadcasted on the intercoms is so annoying. By the way, I am Hispanic! More and more of us are bailing from Walmart. You can see that morale there is very low. The prices are really not that great and many are higher than other stores. Stopped in to buy a tv and last minute valentines craft item. The store was clean, the cashiers and floor employees were friendly and helpful, and the valentine section was still nicely stocked. This was my first time at this Walmart and overall it was a great experience. I even appreciate there was a lot of parking available. read more

Store has been gone down lately. The automotive department needs help. I bought new tires from Walmart and paid $40 extra to have rotation free for as long as I have the tires. The problem is, you can't set an appointment up to have your tires rotated, that's a walk up service. So when i schedule an appointment to have my oil changed, it depends on how many people have scheduled tire changes is where they will try to squeeze you in. That's inconvenient. Then today I had an appointment for an oil change. My car takes 0-16 but since they didn't have anymore in bulk, and their customer service rep told me they've been flying through 0-16. That they would have to get it from the shelves inside the store but the price would change from $59 to $68 for them having to use the oil from inside. In my opinion, if you're flying through this stuff maybe start ordering a lot more & if you're trying to keep your customers you take it from the shelves and you still honor the normal price! What a joke Walmart has become! read more

Not good for ordering limited edition Coke products! Walmart.com claimed that this location had limited edition Coke products in stock and available for online ordering. A 24 pack of the limited edition Coke canned beverages were ordered for curbside pickup. On the day of pick up, the Walmart employee brings out standard can Coke products. Not what was ordered. The curbside pick up service was actually really good and the employee friendly. Regardless, the single star remains. No substitution for the standard can Coke products were offered in place of the limited edition cans for my review PRIOR to arriving for the pick up and discovering that Walmart just mickey moused my order. What a waste of time! Most other locations will notify you for any substitutions like this and get your approval BEFORE trying to get your order filled. Bottom line, don't bother with this location ordering some limited edition items online. Instead, go inside and look for it yourself. It'll save yourself some time and a bad experience when placing an online order for it from this location. read more

I checked out through a register not self checkout with the items I bought my son inside the store and let the cashier know the pickup staff gave me my items inside the store. Man, I know this is Walmart but still The tire/oil department is a joke. They do everything they can NOT to help you. No one wants to acknowledge you, they seem annoyed you're even there and forget about having an appointment because it doesn't matter. Stood outside in the sun for 32 minutes before even being acknowledged even though they clearly saw us and had eye contact !! A simple "someone will be with you shortly" would have helped. Got tired of waiting and went in side to try to get help and the cashier said to go back outside and didn't help one bit. I don't know how management lets this happen I really don't. To top it off when they finally addressed us after 58 minutes waiting in the heat later, they sent us back inside. You you read that right, 58 minutes after appointment time. Simply ridiculous. Pay the extra money to go elsewhere and save yourself the headache. No one knows what they are doing, the workers don't want you there and there is NO customer service. 5 STAR FOR Emilio who gave me curbside service he was amazing. I wanted to give the store And it's manager a 1 STAR because before I came to pick up my one item I went inside the store because I had 20 more items on my list that I needed for my Salon When I walked in I asked the greeter it was there anyway that they could bring my one item in since I had to get multiple more items, she didn't know so she turned to the customer service area and asked the manager who was standing there a Hispanic man whom was also there with another associate a woman with colored hair, who both were doing nothing but talking to one another they had no customers over there she asked him was there anyway that they would be able to bring my item in they both unanimously said no you have to go to the pick up area and so I act I understand that however I have another list that I had to come in the store and I have multiple items that I need to get is there anyway that they could bring it in here that way I don't have to go back outside and do that I can just leave. He told me the manager told me no you need to call them. They have a number and I said OK well do you guys have their number? Is there anyway you can call back there and he said no you have to call them yourself and I'm like whoa All I'm asking for some customer service. I get that message for customer service. Can one of you call them to see if they'll bring it up here. They double down and told me know that that's something that they could not do. I'm in customer service also manage hotel properties and for me this kind of service is unacceptable. It was only a phone call. I'm sure it was a Department two or three button push and it's something that they couldn't do for a customer. The Store wasn't busy and I just didn't understand that. I haven't been shopping at Walmart in over eight months. This is my first time back to Walmart and I won't be back. I like this store because it is well staffed with courteous and competent employees. The shelves are well stocked with all kinds of stuff and the prices are very low in this day and age of double-digit inflation. I do all my shopping for groceries here vs. the other food chains. Today I tried over and over to place an online order at the Redlands Walmart. Their online order site would not take my credit card (which I have used many times before online at Walmart.) It was tagged as a fraudulent transaction. I called the Walmart number the fraud department at my bank gave me. I called twice and requested a callback each time. No callback from them. I went to the store and purchased the same things I was trying to order online with absolutely no problem. This is the first time I've been to Walmart in 6 months so you can imagine the disbelief when I saw all the cosmetics locked up. I needed two items in this case but decided I wouldn't stoop to Walmart's level. That was until I saw the item I needed at a good price so I had to. I searched and searched for someone to open this jailed up section of the store. It took 10 minutes for the guy to come as he was busy with a slew of other customers. Not only does he scan what he took out but he places it in a plastic case and locks it and hands it to me. Wow! Never felt so insulted in my life! I said to him...."You're kidding me right?" He was rude brought to reply with a "No." LOL! I hated this whole experience. It's so unbecoming of an American store. I felt like I was in some third world company with guards everywhere. Once I had that locked plastic case in my cart, I noticed a man following me everywhere I went. Loss Prevention agents are there for a reason. I understand but damn! Pick your clients. I am not one of them. Never felt so violated. My Husband and I were killing 3 hours in this store awaiting an appt at the VA Hospital. This is the only reason we stayed so long. Next time I'll just wait at the Hospital. I see why this Walmart gets only 1 Star. It's a horrible place to shop and I am ashamed that it is happening here in America. This is my local Walmart and I have shopped here for the last three years. They have few choices of fresh & frozen goods, but other than that they have a great selection. The self serve register lines always go fast and don't take more than 5 minutes. I always get greeted when I come in and friendly smiles from employees. I had such a great experience tonight from an employee named Teia that finally inspired me to write a review. There has been a lot of theft at the store and lots of products have gotten locked up behind plastic barriers. Usually when I press the button to get help, it takes a while or no one comes. Sometimes I rather not get items because I don't want to wait. I was looking at items in the beauty section and for the first time in forever Teia asked if I needed anything from behind the barrier. It meant a lot because usually the employees are focused on their own tasks, which is completely understandable. It was just refreshing to have someone see me needing help and reached out without me asking. Shoutout to her! read more

I stopped in at my local Walmart (Redlands, CA) today to pick up a few things. I haven't been in this store for a very long time, and was surprised to see that they have expanded the grocery department. The prices were really great too! The store wasn't very busy when I went in (around 3:30PM) and most employees were busy arranging the the items on the shelves. The aisles were very clean and the employees were so very friendly. I wanted to give a shoutout to 3 employees who made me feel like there was still good customer service out there and people who appear to actually enjoy their jobs. This Walmart was terrible. First, I'm an avid Walmart shopper. I'm cheap, in that I mean that I don't like to over spend for no reason. But this Walmart was a cluster...hump (avoiding the swear but think about the swear, it sounds a lot better). The isles and organization made no sense, there was barely any employees around to help, and I guess they have a stealing problem (possibly due to lack of staff?) because pretty much everything other than toothpicks were locked up behind glass. I think they might have even had some equate products locked up...yikes. Speaking further on this issue, I was stopped at the exit to check my receipt. On the top of my groceries was a $1.48 head of iceberg lettuce. The checker said she didn't see the lettuce on my receipt. I scanned the lettuce, she put her glasses on, checked the receipt closer...couldn't find the lettuce. I asked to see the receipt to see if I could find it...she said no, and walkie-talkied a supervisor (btw I have attached the receipt that shows "ICEBERG" very clearly. I wasn't having it so I just grabbed my receipt and walked out, while she screamed at me...for the lettuce...that I paid for...the lettuce that cost 1 dollar and forty-eight cents...enough said. Management get control of your store. That checker probably missed people stealing tvs while harassing me over the lettuce I paid for. Come on now walmart!! P.S. I gave a 5 star review to a DMV because they deserved it...I keeps it real. read more

Horrible location. Workers are unfriendly and unhelpful. I went in today to get Allegra, which is locked up. There were other people waiting for meds too and the employee was unable to unlock the cabinet. 10 minutes I stood there waiting while she was messing with the phone and some app, trying to unlock the cabinet. I went to another worker to ask for help and she told me to call 1-800-Walmart. Like were they going to come and unlock the cabinet?! Horrible service, incompetent people. I left without Allegra. If your employees are unable to unlock the cabinets, don't have them locked!!!! Common sense. read more

My favorite Wal-Mart and that's funny because I really dont like Wal-Mart at all. But you know we all can't avoid it all the time. There's always something we need from here. I like this location because even when it's packed I still get in and out. The isles are clean and tidy. Everything is in it's place. The employees are mostly friendly and sometimes helpful.
