Walmart is usually a terrible experience but I thoroughly hate this location bc of its horrible customer service. Their hiring process must consist of solely asking if the candidate has a pulse and then onboarding and throwing them on the front line. I have been rudely treated by the associates that work here multiple times by just simply asking a question about what was in stock. Whoever manages this location has no idea what they are doing because the staff is extremely poorly trained on how to handle basic customer requests. The parking lot is the worst thing ever designed, good luck getting in or out. The few times I've been there I've tried to use the selfcheckout and they're always broken or breaking or being used by people who don't get it. I usually buy plants at Home Depot. If a plant is even a bit wilted, they'll OFFER a discount. I've paid less than a dollar at times (which is rare, because they take care of plants). Walmart at Truxel's a different story. First off, the number of plants they let die is staggering. No pride whatsoever in caring for them. I feel sorry for these ill treated plants & offer to take them home to try & save if they can give me a discount. Obviously, they could care less. They page the garden department's manager, who takes his sweet time to show his face (up to (20 minutes), so you'd think they'd give me an additional discount for the long wait. Nope. Nothing. I'm literally disgusted by what I experienced. I went in yesterday to get some batteries and I went up to one of the workers and asked if she knew who could open the batteries for me. She then shouted obviously and ran towards the batteries while her coworker tagged her on and was like oh you told her. Is this a high school? Who are these people that you're hiring? You have workers that are literally bullying customers for asking them for batteries. I will never step foot into this location again and I am contacting corporate as well. I've always been indifferent about my visits to Wal-Mart, but I never had it so bad that I write them a poor review about it. I came in yesterday morning to get some paper bowls and plastic spoons for work. I asked 3 different staff and they all pointed me to the wrong location. I said screw it and just looked for everything myself. Eventually, I found items that I was looking for and was on my way. It's WalMart. "shrug" There are plenty of Walmarts that are really nice, organized, clean, and that have friendly workers available. This is not one of them. Although the prices remain the same from store to store, I only come to this Walmart if I absolutely HAVE too. I walked into the store today and it smelled so bad. Like "what died in here" type smell. There were solicitors outside the doors asking for signatures and then more solicitors inside the store trying to get you to sign up for who knows what. You are bombarded with it back to back. I can't really comment on the people, since I know Walmart can't control their clientele. The store itself just seems messy. Like they stuffed a whole bunch of stuff in one section. There nail polishes on the floor, boxes in the aisle, rows of unfilled merchandise, the floors were dirty (like something spilled and was just left there to be drug all over the place dirty) and randomly placed " wet floor" signs. i found what I needed and self check out was simple. If I had the choice, West Sac and Elk grove (the new one) would be my first choices. read more

This place is for the pharmacy alone! 3 letters...O-M-G and W-T-F. Tell me why I waited for almost 20 minutes to purchase allergy medication? I know teenagers and some lame idiotic adults abuse medicine but I'm not in that category and I'm suffering from severe allergies and I needed relief. The lady in front of me was waiting patiently at the cashier counter while the pharmacy cashier/clerk looked up (several times I might add) the due dates of the prescriptions. I watched as the lady went back and forth to the other computer. After 20 minutes of watching this nonsense she was done. Believe me, the clerk and the lady were at this for longer than 20 minutes since there were other customers standing in front of me that got tired and left. There needs to be something done about this nonsense. I waited about 20 minutes just to get the allergy meds that were OTC. Alrhough this Wal-Mart is messy, I never had a problem finding anything here during the five years I lived in Natomas. Makeup is always cheap at Wal-Mart, especially if you have coupons from the Sunday paper or can find their clearance items! I bought a deep conditioner tub for $2.50 here :) Yesterday I went to return a flower pot that mama Kay bought, and the line for christmas returns was pretty long. But the line moved quickly and the salespeople were kind. I come back all the time because of it's proximity and location in relation to everything else in this mall. Minus one star for always always always being solicitors outside (amd sometimes inside too), the shit parking and the general dirty feel of the place. I decided to do a return for one item I had purchased on clearance, with my original receipt and in less than 7 days of purchase. First of all, it was a miracle to see that I was able to get to a returns associate in less than 10 minutes, since it usually takes a good 30 minutes or more. However, because the clearance item was discounted more when I went to return it, I was being denied a return when I had proper documentation and was well within the return policy. When I stated that this policy is not a corporate policy, Anju, the associate that was denying my return explained that... "a cashier would have informed me that clearance items cannot be returned after they have been marked down more." When I told her that I went through self checkout and no cashier informed me of this policy, her response was..."Oh." It boggles my mind that this specific Wal-Mart believes that they can implement policies that are not in the corporate returns policy as if they were a franchise company. You cannot go against your own corporate policies and say that you tell people about your fake return policies by word of mouth. After all that, I got a supervisor involved, who was just as ignorant as Anju, but finally had the return take place. What an insane ride to return an item that was $10. Don't make up policies that are cannot be implemented. If you are going to make up policies, then make sure it is written somewhere at the register, the website, the store entrance, somewhere to enforce a policy. read more

Photo department has not bothered to call me and my order has been there for days. I was chastised not to come in without calling when I went in on May 2nd. Order was made on April 19! order said estimated is may 1 after 6pm. The man there said you should call before you come down but really you should wait for the email that says we have it. It is NOW May 7. I launched a tracking investigation which took 15 minutes. Just to be told I would be transferred to tracking from processing because it was definitely processed. Then shipping said it has been at the store for days. I have been trying to call the store and I am always left on hold. This evening was not different so I finally asked for a manager just to be left on hold 2 more times for a total of 35 minutes. This level of incompetence needs to be addressed by a district manager. This isn't the greatest of all the Wal-Mart's that i've been to, but it's also not the worst. Fairly clean for the most part(I've never walked into a dirty bathroom), and is decently organized. Sometimes there are shelves that look like items were just thrown onto. Great prices for the most part. REALLY busy! Not every single day I'm sure, but it seems as if every time I go there are never enough employees working the check out lines. Clearence wall in back of store is always packed with great discounted items. A LOT of people "break into" items such as cookies, juice boxes, toys, and candies. Garden section is decent, never seen a dead plant. And the Mcdonalds is fairly clean and has pretty good service. read more

Wal-Mart has gone through a lot of changes over the years. Reducing jobs, decreasing employees morals and customers shopping experience. Wal-Mart is nothing more than just a warehouse for shopping, I am sure management doesn't care about services anymore. This location is a good example why people rather choose online shopping and go to their friendly neighbor Target. Low prices isn't everything when you don't have the resources to find what you need inside a store. From managers down to the employees, everyone is usually rude and on a fast pace. I will admit that the price of new release DVDs are the lowest at Wal Mart the first week ($13.99..beat that!), but that's about the only thing that motivates me to go to this particular location. Of course I always end up leaving having spent more than $100 (cat food, kitty litter, catnip, carpet cleaner, band-aids). I can't wait for the West Sac Supercenter WM to open; the ones in Antelope and Dixon kick a$$! Don't even deserve a star. Pick up orders keep getting canceled 4+ hours after being made. Then you call and they can't get in contact with the pick up order workers. What's the point of having pick up orders if your workers don't do there jobs. There own employees couldn't even get in contact with the pick up order employees. Horrible. read more

This store discriminates against people who are unable to wear a mask. I don't know why they require healthy people to wear a mask as there is no law that requires it. They don't turn the AC on and the temperature in the store is ridiculously hot. Customer service is nonexistent as employees are extremely put out if asked for assistance. I came here to buy shoes for my child but there were hardly any in stock. I asked an employee if they were going to get any more shoes in and I had to scream to be heard over the loud industrial fan she had blowing on her. Living nearby Walmart in 3661 Truxel Rd, Sacramento, is a convenient place for me to shop. Although, It is clustered & messy. It seems that Super Walmart workers in 755 Riverpoint Court West Sacramento, CA 95605 are nicer and helpful, The Pharmacy technicians here in Truxel Rd Walmart are nice; however, their pharmacist (Ms. Tri) is unreliable, without consideration. She refused to refill my authorized prescription from my Doctor; her reason is that it's too soon to refill my regular medicine. I explained that my Doctor authorized an advanced refill because I was leaving U.S. to Europe for 2 months. But she requires me to show her my plane ticket and to have my Doctor on the phone too, before she will release my simple medication. She rudely sent me away empty handed & frustrated. I wanted to just retrieve my prescription and bring it elsewhere (but I wasted a lot of time already, waiting for the refill & avoiding to waste more time by trying to retrieve my prescription back). So, to get my prescribe medication sooner, I have to bring my plane ticket to show to Ms Tri & hope that my Doctor is available to contact for this Walmart pharmacist to redundantly reauthorize my medication that was already written, signed & authorized prescription. But lesson learned. So, I will be looking for a different family pharmacy in the future. Hope this input can be helpful. read more

LOL! Michelle couldn't be more right about this location. I've never seen such drama in other stores: people screaming at their kids, smacking them in the face, people arguing with each other, and yelling into their cell phones about kicking somebody's ass for whatever reason. All within a 30min visit! Let's face it though, the whole Natomas Marketplace is pretty ghetto. I've seen people shoplifting at other stores and watched little league kids walking into Hooters like it was a Mc D's. Wal-Mart gets two stars for having good prices and for their cheap prescription meds program. I bought something from the Christmas 75% off sale and didn't notice that when I got home that I was charged full price. I checked the site an sure enough I see the item for sale price! So I go in to the store to collect the refund and now the site has changed the price back to full price and I didn't take a screenshot of the sale price... so they didn't believe me and could look up yesterday's prices. so I will be bringing the item back to collect a full refund. Unfortunately this location lives up to the stereotypical Walmart. The customer service line was ridiculous, with only two people working there. It was dirty and I saw lots of carts piled up with items that needed to be restocked (but I'm guessing with the lack of employees, restocking was out of the question). I ended up having to go to the back to pick up the order, which was my mistake for not asking where to go in the first place. Since I couldn't pick it up that day, I went back today and it was even worse. Long lines in all the check outs, dirty floors, items thrown everywhere, and the lady working at the walmart.com section had to call someone three times to come help me. It also smelled like major sweaty armpit in there. Please get some more employees so you can have returning customers! read more

Since this is Walmart I have to be fair and ranked it along with other Walmart locations. The store is smaller and lacks a lot of the selection most Walmart's have. They also seem a bit slower and they are constantly shifting the store around. They do not have a bakery or hot food except the in-store restaurant which recently switched from McDonald's to Subway. It's rare you can find somebody who works in any particular Department when you are looking for them such as paint or automotive. read more

I've never had a severe problem with this Walmart. I always hear about customers complaining about it. I feel like if the prices are cheap and I'm just going to get some makeup, food or etc. and I'm in and out quickly, it's not that bad of an experience. My complaints would be the lack of product knowledge from the employees. No one really knows where anything is and when I ask they either give a very off guess or just simply do not know. Another compliant I would have is the lack of makeup. There's never anything new in stock and if it is, it's sometimes open so always check your products. Overall, I've been going to this Walmart for my entire life. Going straight in and straight out with no problems. If you know what you're looking for than it shouldn't be a terrible experience. read more
