I purchased several items from Walmart. I am very happy with Keurig coffee maker and the variety of coffee flavor pods I purchased, both caffeine and decaf. I also purchased pull knobs for a dresser, they are great and appear just as the website showed me. Then I also purchased new wire connections for a TV. Walmart kept me informed about delivery time which is very important to me. The staff in Walmart are friendly and helpful. This store is now my go to store for items I need. read more

I ordered the Mopio Blake Tall Display Cabinet from Walmart, and the entire experience -- from delivery to customer service -- has been incredibly disappointing. The cabinet arrived with a damaged package. At first glance, the parts inside looked okay, so I began assembling it. It wasn't until I was almost finished that I noticed one of the corners was damaged -- right where a screw needed to go. The damage weakened the area, and when I stood the cabinet upright, the side nearly fell off, pulling other screws and fasteners with it. Since I had company coming over and the cabinet was too heavy for me to move to the garage, I finished assembling it despite the damage. After spending nearly two hours putting it together, I ended up with a wobbly, unstable cabinet that is too weak to use. I contacted Walmart about the issue. Their automated chat made it very difficult to reach a real representative. When I finally did, the agents seemed more interested in rushing me off the chat than actually addressing my concerns. They told me to return the cabinet, but I explained I couldn't transport it. They agreed to arrange a pickup, but that still leaves me feeling like I'm the one losing here. The "compensation" offered was a $25 gift card, which doesn't come close to covering the time I spent assembling the defective cabinet, the frustrating back-and-forth in their chat system, and now having to wait for pickup. To make matters worse, I tried to leave a review on Walmart's site to warn others, but I kept being redirected to the same support chat -- meaning I can't even share my feedback about the cheaply made product or the terrible support. I knew I was taking a risk buying furniture from Walmart, but I liked the look of this piece. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson. The cabinet is poorly made, the customer service is frustrating and impersonal, and the process is far more difficult than it should be. Hey guys! I just called the number of this Walmart and was directed to the store operator. Whoever I talked to was the nicest person ever I highly recommend calling if you need help!! She went to check if she had the item I was looking for in stock, was very polite, kind, helpful, and just honestly made my day!! Thank you Walmart employee. Also one time I bought an among us blanket here the person checking the receipt at the door said sus which also made my day. (AND IF YOU DO DONT BUY MENU MAGIC) When I bought my hamster food from Walmart A MONTH AGO!! Everything seemed fine, like a healthy blend of some delicious hamster food. My hamster died like 2 weeks after that. I then bought another hamster and seen LITERAL BUGS IN THE FOOD. For backstory as to how I found them is when I was buying my second hamster I found out that corn increases chances of cancer for them so I was picking the corn out of the mix and a literal bug popped out ON MY BED. It looked almost exactly like lice and I know I DO NOT have lice because I barely even have dandruff plus my scalp NEVER itches AND I checked my hair and found NOTHING. Wallmart has it's good days and it's bad days... I had many good days and a few bad... especially that one day were I was at the photo department trying to print out a few pictures. It took me almost 2 hours... and not because it was 1-hour service. It took that long because my 'helper' took off, and I had to wait for 15 minutes, after he returned for a few minutes he decided it was time to leave again, and I had to wait for his replacement. A store manager came to let me know that somebody was on it's way. The manager did not want to touch a thing, because he did not know what he was doing. If you want quality service, go elsewhere. It took me 10 minutes to purchase one case of Monsters. First of all, they are behind the register with the cigarettes and formula. Only a worker can carry the case. They treated me like I was going to walk out with the case without paying. The cashier at my register refused to go down and pick up the box or call for help. I left her line and went down to the register they are behind. She had a line with about 6 people in and I informed her I wasn't standing in another line. She took the case and dropped it two registers down at another cashier who had another line and walked away. She sent me to the self checkout. Thankfully after she rang her customer she walked the case over to me at self check out and apologized. I will NEVER come back to this location again. read more

Then go to the pick up desk and told 1 of my 2 items was available. They have another in the store, but they wouldn't give it to me. They were waiting for my second item to be shipped to the store. Worst Walmart I have been to in CT! Overall most checkout experiences at Walmart's tend to be terrible but this one stands out as exceptionally bad. Lines are always long, a bunch of the self checkout stations are not working, and they have not let me leave the store because someone lost their kid. The time someone lost their Kid: I asked the employee "Am I a kid" (I'm 38 years old) And then asked "Do I have a kid with me" (nope) And then asked "Can I leave then?" (logical right). The answer was No. This is the closest Walmart to me but often I make the ride to avoid this store and find that even with the longer ride to another store I can save time overall and the experience is definitely better. Luckily I have not had to return anything but that customer service line always is packed and never seems to move. read more

This location is the absolute worst I came here looking for steel toe shoes for work. I couldn't find anybody to help me, the guy in electronics had to call a associate for me more then once , no one showed up I walked around for 20 mins, couldn't believe the things I saw while walking around " unbelievable ". Finally ran into the store manager who by the way " couldn't understand much English and wasn't knowledgeable about the products in the store. When I asked about steel toe shoes she pointed to the shoe laces lol then she says " oh I'm sorry we don't carry them " which I know is a lie because my co workers got their shoes from here. I'm unfortunately writing this review whilst waiting in line at customer service. I've been here for at least 20 minutes already, with about 20 people in the line and one person serving. There are so many staff members walking around but no one is actually doing anything. I've literally counted over 15 staff members not doing anything and that's just at the customer service counter. This store is also highly unorganized, there's stuff everywhere, things falling over , spills on the floor, honestly it's just a hot mess every single time I come. If you need any form of help here be prepared to wait and wait a long time. On the plus side they do have a bottle deposit and a key cutting machine which comes in handy. There are other Walmart in the area and I would honestly try to avoid this one at all costs. Oh and on a side note the parking sucks too haha. read more

Not sure if people just don't show up for work here or what... Had a pick up ticket for photo dept. called at 11 am. Hung up on. Called back. Hung up on. (Apparently answering phone is not person skill?) Got person. Asked for photo dept. Put on hold. 5 min. Hang up call back. Get person again. Ask for photo dept. Put on hold 7 Min. Picked up by same person who first answered and asked what dept. Asked for photo. Hung up on. Called back at 1. Told no one in that dept until 2 pm. Called back at 2:27 pm. Asked for dept. Put on hold. Same person 5 times kept picking back up after originally taking call and "transferring" my call. Finally I asked if the photo person came in today. They didn't know. I asked if they could just send store mgr to that dept to take the call. I just wanted to know if my pics were in. No idea. Went there at 330. In person. NO ONE IN THE DEPT AT ALL. Husband got a worker to look for my items with my ticket. He was pissed (husband) we made the trip for nothing. Second worker comes over. Nothing. Ticket was given back to me and we are then told come back Sunday. LikeI ordered items Wednesday. Ticket said pick up Friday. Now told Sunday by two people that just moved some boxes around. This is why I HATE WALMART!!! No one can do any job correctly. Update. Waiting from Friday to Sunday to pick cards up. Apparently order never processed so had to reprint differently to get it done. Worse than even the Waterbury one, I wasted 3 hours in this hellhole all because the rude asst. manager, Joanna lied to me instead of admitting she didn't know something which she should have since it was policy. She said they don't reissue gift cards in the store but they do and after struggling to get her to understand that she had to learn how to do it and by then someone had stolen $70 from me. Joanna couldn't care less that it was right before Christmas. She just lied and ignored me. Their customer service line is just as bad too. While I was standing in line, a girl was waiting an hour because an employee stole money she dropped. She got fed up and left. It's not worth my time and energy to be wasted in this dump filled with nasty people. Took my $160 glasses here for new lenses. They cracked my new frames and the actual frame sits crooked now. Horrible. As an update. Weeks later, finally got a call from HR. After some negotiating, I was able to pick out a new frame but pay for the lenses- all things considered and the time it took to get a callback, I will update my review to a 2 star. This Walmart as usual is nothing but a below 4 of a cesspool level below the already usual 5 level that Walmart itself is. Once in a blue moon I attempt if I'm in shop right next-door to stop bye to maybe grab something simple that I may be looking for just to see if they have it but today takes no exception and not only the poor level of customer service The first thing that happens is that you are greeted as I saw many people who basically had to park sooooo far away being no parking and that because literally they were speaking almost g yelling loud enough that I can hear them outside to customers that they have to go in the other door! why ? no reason because at that precise moment nobody else was going in there was no line there wasn't anyone waiting period. as parents to sacrifice themselves to get a gift here in there for their children wherever they can find it I ordered three small items to be picked up at their store and I go yesterday to pick them up at 8:30 knowing that the store closes at 11 and asking the desk with three employees chitchatting with each other, I am told all that department closes at eight. I said really three days before Christmas they're shutting down a department three hours prior to the store closing? they don't tell you that in their emails. So I decided today to run over there to grab things nice and early almost 4 hours earlier than yesterday only to find out that they closed 45 minutes earlier than when I got there so I asked myself who in their right mind closing any part of a service such as picking up items that you have paid for not a half hour not 45 minutes or even at the time of closing like the other stores I've been to but yet 3 to 4 hours earlier than closing time just a day or two before Christmas again only a cesspool of a place such as this one. Unfortunately once again it reiterates you get what you pay for and it's going to target means paying a couple of dollars more then it's worth every single penny because there's so much care for their shoppers that the amount of people that were in line in that place of which none were 6 feet apart going through the entire clothing department of the women and the children all the way to the back of the store and through the isles under any circumstance is nowhere near A demonstration of any control of anything inside the store that shows care for the well-being of the public. Surprisingly no but if I can ever avoid such a deplorable company anywhere I go I will do so because saving five $.10 here and they're $.20 $.50 is never worth the level of aggravation that I experience anytime I ever care to walk into a location that regardless of where you go just go to the terrible customary substandard anything from service to quality of products etc. but this specific site especially takes it to an all new low in the system of ratings. read more

Ok, so I'm not judging this because it's a Walmart. My expectations were incredibly low for this place regardless, but this place has failed me time and time again. The only redeeming quality is the 12 items or less. Usually the only reason I'm in there is because I forgot something last minute and often the most friendly of the bunch tend to work this line. Manager Pharmacist AVRIL SANZ is BAD NEWS to Customers!! Stay-away!!!! I was at the Wal-Mart Pharmacy, Stratford, CT at 12 noon. I was told by the pharma technician that my prescription will be ready in 30 minutes---so I waited. After 30 minutes, I went to the window to pay. I was told by the technician to wait for another 5 minutes---but Ms Avril Sanz yelled "20 more minutes wait-time". So I waited 20 more minutes. After 20 minutes, I went to pay and she asked me to come back after 2 pm. The Pharmacy technician told me that my medicine has been put in the bag---but Ms AVRIL SANZ won't key it to her computer. I spoke with Ms Sanz and asked for her to key it already. She said that she's very busy. I told her I'd waited for 55 minutes already, the least she can do is to key my medicine after her TWO Promises have FAILED. But she rudely answered: You can stand there for 1 hour or comeback after 2 pm. What a lousy manager to treat a paying and loyal customer so RUDELY and UNFAIRLY. People like her will surely cause WalMart to lose a lot of good customers. I will surely encourage my clients, friends, family members, church brethren to stay away from this WalMart Pharmacy Store due to the bad attitude and rudeness of Ms AVRIL Sanz. The lines are always a mile long and you might get robbed or shanked so do what I did. Purchase online and follow the orange arrows all the way to the back to the pick up area. After I typed my name in on the screen, the nice lady was there in under two minutes and my item took no longer than 4 minutes to come out. It was very pleasant. Except that someone abandoned a baby in the parking lot, I'd say my experience was good. read more

ControlI was very unhappy with the service that I got at this local Walmart the first time I called they took very long to be exact a good 20 minutes while I was in the store and once I finally got the right person in the right department, this worker was very rude to me I asked if they had a scary Ouija board game he said no and right when I was in the middle of my sentence saying where could I get one he hung up on me which was very uncalled for and disrespectful! Another reviewer thinks this place is clean, has helpful staff and that the lines are "pretty fast." Apparently she's never been to Target on the other side of town where those attributes are actually evident. I've already gone on a general tirade against Walmart in another Walmart review, so I'll focus on this particular store for this review. This location is "just a department store" in that it lacks a full-service grocery (no fresh foods) and it's not open 24 hours. I don't think there's a garden center, because I've avoided venturing too far into the belly of this beast. The frozen foods section (which consists of 4 or 5 upright freezers) is located along the wall in front of the registers. This is actually nice of them, since you'd otherwise stand in line watching your items melt had you already placed them in your cart. You know the slow checkout process has been adopted into their business strategy when they've installed flat-panel advertisement televisions right above the conveyor belts. Not sure why they bother installing so many registers when it is obvious that they rarely intend to open more than 2 or 3. All that extra room would be great for the suckers waiting in line... especially since I had a rude family standing .003" away from me (literally, I bumped into one of them when I shifted my weight from one leg to another) and they even put their items onto the belt AROUND my single item! The parking lot for this shopping center (which includes Home Depot and Shop Rite) is an absolute disaster, and this can be attributed to the incredibly lazy parking lot attendants employed by each store as well as the inconsiderate shoppers who frequent this plaza. Rushed from Stamford CT to the Stratford CT Walmart to pick up a pair of headsets for running, made it to the store 15mins before closing. Upon my arrival to the electronics department I found what I wanted, but the item was locked up and No One was present to unlock it from the rack. Then 5mins before closing a young lady comes to tell me that I could not buy them be she had just turned in the Keys and she has to go home. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. It is dirty, poorly managed, the employees are rude, not at all helpful and seem to know next to nothing about the departments they work in. I made the mistake of looking on line for a certain pedometer that I wanted to purchase. The Walmart website said it was available in the Stratford store so I drove all the way there just to buy this one item. I couldn't find it in electronics or in sporting goods so I waited in line an additional 10 minutes at customer service to ask where I could find it. The customer service rep sort of laughed and said, "Oh those on line inventories are not accurate, we probably don't have any" I asked her to check the store inventory on her computer and she told me that she would just get the same information that I had gotten from the Walmart website. How is it possible that store in the year 2014 has no way of knowing what their inventory is??? Unbelievable. She told me to ask someone in sporting goods. So after searching around an additional 10 minutes I finally found someone from sporting goods who knew absolutely nothing about pedometers. She pointed me to the section and said this is where it would be. I told her that I had already looked there and it wasn't there nor was there an empty space where the item should have been. I asked could it be someplace else, maybe locked up because it is $56? And she just gave me a blank look and said well here is one for $59 why don't you buy this one? Arrrggghh!!! At that point I was so frustrated I just walked out. I will never waste my time shopping at any Walmart ever again. What a terrible store and what a waste of 90 minutes of my life that I will never get back. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Walmart like the plague.
