Worst lines ever .. Frustrating because I'm know I have to wait at least 15-20 min to pay. And it doesn't matter what time you come.

Went to Walmart to buy a laptop Janette from electronics ignored my brother whose 12 but happily helped another customer who came afterwards buy his video. When confronted she got hostile and made up an excuse about it was going to take her forever to grab a laptop. This has to be the WORST WalMart in existence. The managers are rude (and abusive to the employees, in front of customers, no less), they have items mis-priced (actually said that two identical cases of product could have different CRV costs and that they, meaning Walmart) had nothing to do with those numbers, despite the fact that they enter said data into the computer. The managers are mind bogglingly stupid, and when I have received good service from the entry level employees, I have heard those employees berated for taking the time to see to my needs. I actually don't mind this Walmart too much. I live nearby and I've been here since this Walmart opened really and wow, how they have grown. They do have a ton of technical difficulties though, especially in self check out machines. When I went, the machine didn't scan my second gift card and I didn't get a receipt because of an issue. The guy in charge gave me my change by hand and I left but when I went home, the card wasn't working. There goes my little brother's present - a steam gift card. Went back a two days later and the employees and managers there actually helped me. I didn't have a receipt because of the messed up machine and since the machine broke down, there was no record of the cards being sold but they gave me a new card, activated it themselves, told me to come back if it still wasn't working and remember to get my receipt next time. Walmart makes so much money, yet can't find employees who do their job correctly. Was super excited to get a new bed, mattress, and a bed set. Told over 5 people that I needed help. No one ever bothered to assist me. I was very frustrated since my son is autistic and can't be in one place without screaming. He was screaming and crying. I Waited over 20-30 minutes for someone and no one came, because they only have "one person" for carry outs and currently on lunch. Was about to blow over $400. Thank you Walmart employees, managers, and owners for your lack of service. You saved me $400. Store manager called me yesterday and today. Both times I did not have my phone on me. She Called me past 8:00PM. Very un professional. I went ahead and shopped at Target instead. Got a new bed, mattress, and bed set there. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They care about their customers, unlike crappy walmart. Will not be shopping there anymore. read more

I would of given this place 5 stars in the past but after they started closing off sections of the store like the Make-Up and Electronics area the store kinda suxs now. I used to love the convenience like if you have a Birthday party to attend and forgot to get the kid a gift you got 24-hr Walmart to browse the toys and video games or if you need to grab make-up for your night out tonight you were covered but now they close those sections off at night and don't open them til 7am. They said they started closing these sections off bcuz of theft. Another incident where a group of bad apples ruins the pie for everybody. Aside from not being able to buy Electronic items or Cosmetics I still go to this WalMart but more or less probably go in earlier hours than before. read more

And, anything of any value, or is it a small package, is locked up and they treat you like a criminal to get at it. this place is horrible.. i live in Baldwin Park and i hate this place. It was only convenient because it was 24 hours but they removed that.. that was the only thing going for them... Customer service is horrible.. you can never find anyone to help you if you have a question nor any cashier at the registers.. Alert !! Watch out for some dis-honest casher at this store ! Just one hour ago, I went to this Walmart store and bought some grouceries including FOUR T-Shirts, Paying the full amount with my credit card. However, after I went home, I found out that I only got THREE T-Shirts, and I just couldn't find the receipt, that casher actually did not give me a receipt (on purpose, I guess). If you really have to shop at this store, make sure you check both the receipt and what you are getting. Because you know, some cheaters are still working there ! read more

Went to print pictures at Walmart and after 1 hour of fighting with the machines, and getting no help from their 1 employee that was alone and super busy, I left upset and with no pictures. Went to Target and was in and out under 15 min pictures and all. I dont recommended wasting your time at Walmart. The low prices aren't worth the aggravation. read more

Same as all walmarts. They have so many registers and only three open. Some staff are very friendly, some are just lazy. Once we had they had sent out a staff to check out a price on something (when we were at the register) she said okay, 10 minutes passed, she hasn't came back. So what I did was walk, I repeat WALK, to the section, grabbed the item and came back. In less than 2 minutes. Lol idk what took her so long, but that goes to show. I get it, it's Walmart. read more

I just got married on July 31st and it was a wedding where we were counting ever penny! Due to the economy I was forced to bargain shop for everything. I was lucky to have heard about the bakery at Walmart in Baldwin Park and decided to go and get a tasting. Not only was the service wonderful and cheerful in the Bakery department but the cake was delightful. I decided to get our wedding cake done at Walmart and it turned out wonderfully. It was beautiful and tasted great too. With all that is said, my brother who got married a year ago paid over $700 dollars for his cake and hated it...while I paid less than $150 dollars and never heard one complaint! read more

This Wal-Mart Superstore has many things going for it...including being open 24 hours and a wide variety of merchandise. However having to almost always wait in long lines has caused my family to pretty much shop elsewhere. Today though, we were in Baldwin Park and decided to enjoy some treats from the Wal-Mart deli. We saw the sign on the deli counter stating that deli items needed to be paid for before they were given to the customer. No problem...except we were expecting a register in the deli area for the deli items. No such luck...you select your items, and then go through the regular check out lanes with the tags that used to be affixed to the items you've chosen placed on a small piece of paper. Your items stay behind in the deli for pick-up after they're paid for. You then wait in the long lines to check out. Today, that wait took 30 minutes for us. The long line of folks waiting to use the self check out nearest the deli was atrociously long. There were only two "full-service" registers (with real cashiers) open. Both had long lines. Kudos to Wal-Mart...they have added a few self-service registers at the opposite side of the full-service registers. So now there are self-service registers on both sides of the full service registers.Most of us aren't aware these registers exist yet, so the lines are much shorter. We were so happy to have "discovered" them today! Unfortunately, the self service registers can be a bit of a pain to use...especially if other customers have touched the glass and gotten crud on it. No one seems to clean the self service register scanners on a regular basis at this store so oftentimes it is a bit of a struggle to use them (I was a cashier for years. I know how to scan merchandise....I used to receive recognition for the number of items I scanned per minute until it was realized that scanning in this manner put cashiers at a higher risk of carpal tunnel) By the time our items were paid for we had spent approximately a half hour "checking out". It would have been longer had we not found the additional self-service registers. We returned to pick up the deli items we selected earlier. There were a number of people in line ahead of us, and only one person waiting on people. We noticed our items sitting on a small ledge...no temperature control at all. The first couple of people in the deli line knew what they wanted and were served in a timely manner (one customer left when he realized that he'd have to wait through the long check out lines and then return for his deli items after paying.) The last customers before us had no idea what they wanted other than a bucket of chicken nuggets (which took them a while to decide upon). After waiting more than 5 minutes for these folks to decide what else they wanted, the lady behind the counter finally decided to give us our items while they made up their minds. She asked for our receipt which clearly showed we had purchased four items. She came back with two items and was annoyed when my husband pointed out that we had two more items coming. She then asked for the paper that had the bar codes for the items attached. A paper my husband tried to hand her along with the receipt but that she had handed back to him at that time. By the time we received our food, it had sat out on that small counter approximately an hour. The chicken was soggy, and the shrimp was not only soggy but really chewy as well. The mashed potatoes and gravy as well as the fried burrito were yummy though. Does Wal- Mart, Baldwin Park care about food safety or customer satisfaction anymore? They really need to realize how awkward this process is, and streamline it by placing a register in the deli area dedicated solely to the purchase of food purchased from the deli area. When you add drive time to the time items set on the ledge in the deli awaiting pick-up, food safety becomes a real issue! Adding to the awkwardness of this new procedure, the deli does not provide bags, so if you have a number of deli items to pick up, be sure to either take an extra bag from the self service register, or ask your cashier for one. My husband was so upset that he called the store to complain. "Danielle" has assured him that there will be a register in the Deli department tomorrow. I am almost tempted to go back just to see if she was telling him the truth or just trying to placate him and get him off the phone. read more

Worst supercenter ever..... First of all the lines dont move fast at all they have like 30 cash registers and only 2 open like really.... Also i tried to do a price mAtch and wasent able to because of model number not matching like really then dont say price match guaranteed.... This store really needs to step up inventory, staff actually knowing what they are talking about..... This store is sad to have the name as walmart SUPERCENTER u never find what u need.... There in never anyone in the paint department! You always have to walk there and walk back across the store to ask someone to call someone else for the paint because it is locked. The bigger guy working there hates his job and makes people feel unwelcome. read more

Disgusting store. Trash everywhere in the parking lot. People blocking the aisles making it difficult to shop. Cars racing through the parking lot. Half the self check outs are out of service. Cans are dented. People selling tamales in the parking lot. Hard to ask employees questions cuz most don't speak English. Should've went to one in a different city. Walmart is the one stop shop for everything. This place is a pharmacy, grocery store, photo development, electronic store, and a clothing outlet. The Walmart is full of people getting a little of everything. There is always a full line of people in one of the fifteen checkout isles, unless you go at midnight or later. That is why the 24 hour Walmart in Baldwin Park is the best one. It is full of available parking at the late hours of the night. There is also a Redbox inside that is always ready to be used. The isles are generally clean, but there are times where the isles are a mess due to the restocking of products. The customer service during this hour is about the same as it is in the daytime, so it's not very good. I was able to get everything that I needed at an unreasonable hour for most, but Walmart is always open and ready for me on my schedule. read more

This is the only Walmart that is consistently out of bags. It's not like they are free, repeatedly have had to carry items without bags. Yes we are supposed to reuse the bags but it's a pain carrying 20+ bags at any given time. I love this store but I'm going to have to make another Supercenter my store from now on. read more

Really bad customer service and management. I needed an enfamil can, but waited for long. Firstly, i waited for someone to take it from a locked cabinet to cashier. When I came to the cashier to check out, there was no item I wanted there. The cashier asked for assistance and the light on for long, but there was no supervisor to help him. He needed to look for someone. The line was getting long, but there were nobody come to help out. Finally, one lady came, but she walked away and did not care to assist while I was waiting for long. I do not know why they did not care about customers. I asked the cashier to pay for items I checked out to help him to clear the line. Finally, another supervisor lady came, but she was not nice. She did not say any apologies to me for the bad service and she looked mint. I kept waiting again for the item come in, so I decided to leave because I can't accept the service and these ladies who walked around without resolving issue. I've never been a fan of Walmart...and I really still ain't. The only thing I love about this Walmart is the sweet black lady that works there. She calls everyone sweetie, sugar, etc. Anyway....what is up with the long lines??? Not just at this location but every other freakin Walmart. There is always about ten people in front of you. It's like they only open 4 registers and they think because they open the one's in front, the lines won't look long. The self checkout is never working. And when it does work, I always get some dumbass in front of me who has a cart full or crap and doesn't know how to pay the damn thing. I know it's open 24 hours and they are stocking everything up for the next day but at least try to clear the aisles. BOXES EVERYWHERE!!! And if you're going down an aisle and there's boxes there and the employee has to move them, it's like they get mad. Why be open 24 hours if the customers are in your way?!?!?! I REALLY wish they had a ZERO star on yelp. I actually made an account RIGHT NOW to complain about the customer service at this location. I waited over half an hour for someone to get to the electronics department. During this waiting process i asked FOUR DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES to have someone assist me. NO ONE SHOWED UP!! Eventually got fed up and left. I was going to complain to the manager but she was on her cell phone texting or what not. You guys are terrible. All i wanted was a ps4 controller. This place is unbelievable... and I don't mean that I'm a good way... I came to buy $125 in gift cards, and unfortunately I paid the price for coming here instead of going to Home Depot and gettin them there. First of all, just so everyone is aware, you can no longer purchase gift cards at a normal checkout lane. Apparently cashiers don't feel comfortable selling the gift cards anymore.. Or at least that's what One of the associates Told me (of course he said he was a manager). They sent me from a register, to customer service, to another service register. Be aware that there were only two registers open at 11am, and one person at each or the service counters. The worst part was how even though I expressed my frustration, they just didn't even care. This is why I go to Target... I don't like being treated like this way, and they should know better than to treat paying customers like this. read more
