Wow...I use to shop at the old Wal Mart on 59th until now they moved it to 75th. I tried to return a Coat I got as a gift to this location. There was a couple in front of me that tried to return a New Stereo. They said it did not turn on. They just want to exchange. The girl in the counter...who is GHETTO AS HELL was SO RUDE to this older couple Was yelling at them and said she cannot return it because she cannot find it in the system. The lady ask her, can you try please? The girl said NO. She said can I talk to a manager? The Hood Rat yelled at the woman pointing to her name tag and yelled, "I AM THE MANAGER! CAN YOU READ!" The couple left. Now it is my turn. I brought up my coat. The pigeon head said she couldnt return it because the Coat was bought in the Batavia location, not Naperville. I said...but it is this same store??? She turned the computer screen around so fast I thought she was going to break it! She rudely pointed to the screen and said to me like she said to the customers before me.. "Ugh...look here! Can you read?! Not from this store!" I just took my stuff and left. I hate to say this but when I shopped at the old location, there was a lot of nice people older people working there. I think when the new place opened, they hired a bunch of low life, low thinking, rats that don't know anything. On top of that they are so angry they are only getting paid minimum they pass those "savings" on to us as a customer by screaming at our face. A Wal mart opened up in Kirk Road and I shop there now. I feel so sorry for the Naperville folks that have to shop here and put up with this ignorant mess. read more

This new store is a welcome change to the old store. The old store was dark, cramped, and reeked of day-old Subway sandwiches. The new store is clean and organized, but I doubt it will stay that way for long. The store is huge, but there is so much merchandise that the aisles are narrow. They moved locations for more square footage, but they have still crammed every square inch of the store with stupid promotional kiosks or making aisles impossible to pass two people at a time. I found exactly what I was looking for here, which is a welcome change compared to some locations that are notorious for bare shelves, but I've been trying to avoid Wal-Mart anyway. This Wal-Mart is an improvement that needs improvement. read more

I really hate this Walmart, the only reason I go here is because its right next to the other places I always need to go to ( Xsport, Whole Foods, Chase Bank, Starbucks, European Wax Center, etc.) I've been living in this area for quite awhile now and the more I go there, it seems to always be a problem. On several occasions I get hit on, single pretty girl walking through Walmart I get it. But when the employees do it, I have a problem. One time I was on the phone and I almost bumped into a group of Walmart employees. Its beyond me why they were all walking together in the first place. But naturally, I said sorry and excuse me. One of the boys said sorry while the other had his blue work attire thrown over his shoulder tried to hit on me. My natural response was," don't you work here?" his friend (the one who apologized) started laughing and he retorted, "yeah, but I'm off the clock!" all cheesy like it was cute. I just snapped back, "Well worry about you job!" and we parted ways. They were younger boys and obviously hormones still ranging, but this is where Walmart should be doing a better job at screening their employees. Another time I was in their liquor room and was looking for a specific beer. A Walmart employee comes up to me smiling and says, " Excuse me ma'am you have to be over 21 to be in here, I am going to have to ask you to leave". I stare at him really hard and simply said," You're joking right?" He looks at my 'who the hell are you' face and starts to laugh and says yes while walking away. I immediately stopped looking for the beer I wanted and walked out. I guess some would take it as a compliment but for me its just annoying after the other experience was less than a week apart. Again, its bad enough I have to deal with the tacky ways men try to talk to me but I'd like to shop in peace. Today, like a idiot I again have to go back to this location. One of the employee's today was talking to another co-worker and decided to say the n-word. This is around 3pm when its extremely busy and there were at least 4 other people not including children in this isle. I don't know which is worse, the fact that they were talking about stocking shelves and that seems to be the only word he could use to express hisself, or the fact he maybe forgot he was at work and he just thought it was acceptable. Everyone looked at him and carried on. Granted, he was African American and some people wouldn't look at it as offensive coming from him but since he was on the clock he should keep in mind he is representing something bigger than hisself and keep fowl language of any sort out of his mouth while at work. If it wasn't for this overly pleasant check out clerk I probably would've lost my marbles. Her name, Monica. She's wears glasses and has dirty blonde hair. So for those of you complaining about the check out clerks please just wait in her line. She was so overly pleasant you'd think she used to work at a Chick-Fil-A. Anyone who walked into her line was greeted and asked how their day was going and of course, the awesome October weather we are having today. She's honestly the only reason I'd consider coming back. Walmart- let her be in charge of hiring and start weeding out the crappy employees. On another note, I have experience multiple times going into a isle and the prices being off, I'd never forget the time I saw a shelf full of glass jars going for 14.99 like they were dusted in gold. This place over all isn't that bad. But you have to fix your team members, its getting out of hand and I personally don't want to get treated as if I'm a hot commodity. As much as I dislike Walmart, this one is marginally better than most. I think it's selection is lame and the aisles are just slightly too narrow, but it's a decent one-stop-shop when you need both Hostess Ding Dongs AND a garden hose. It seems as if they always have an issue putting carts away. I have a dent on the side of my car however I can't put full blame on the store, it most likely came from parking in their lot. This place does NOT have enough people trained for financial services in their Customer Service Department. I have routinely waited in long lines only to be told due to specific representatives needing to take lunches that their financial services would be out of service. I struggled on whether or not to report an issue involving one of your store associates a couple of days ago, as I felt I was being racially profiled by him- "Shopping While Black". But I know if I don't report this, the concept of change will never happen. As I was looking how I should report this behavior outside this store, I found it interesting that just this month the President and CEO Doug McMillon just presented a podcast on racial injustice, but unfortunately this employee doesn't live by the Walmart values in this matter. My 11yrs old daughter and I went to your Naperville IL store to pick up a few items, which turned into a life lesson for her. Specifically, I purchased 2 dance leotards, a dance skirt, skittles, and a pizza. And my daughter a bag of chips and thread through your self-checkout lanes. As we were walking out of the checkout area, I was stopped by your employee watching the area, and was asked to see my receipt. But I didn't see him asking for anyone else receipt as they walked out. He stated I had more items in my bags than what was scanned. At this point your employee has questioned my integrity, defamed my character, and has humiliated me not just in front of others, but mainly in front of my child. To comply with his request, as I know I had no wrongdoing, gave my receipt and took everything out of my bags and expressed that I was feeling some type of way about this. I know that this is not the proper procedures that was appropriately followed by your employee. Because of my feelings of being accused and insulted, I then informed that I would like to speak to a supervisor, and returned all items purchased by my daughter and myself. This became an unfortunate lesson that I didn't want to have to teach my daughter that day in the store. Her lesson that day was to NEVER spend your money in an establishment that doesn't value your business, that disrespect you, that doesn't want you, and doesn't respect you for who you are no matter what the circumstances are and how badly you want it. When I spoke with the frontend coach about the employee, she then went over to talk to him. As we were walking away from the customer service desk she approaches me with the employee for him to apologize. Even though he apologized the damage was done from the stigma that was placed on me. The feeling of being humiliated, ostracized, criminalized, and looked at as less than. I informed your employee that with all that is going on in the world this is not an acceptable behavior, and he has to make sure he does better. Also informed him that because of him I will no longer shop at this Walmart ever again. Also because of him I might not shop at any Walmart ever again. Hopefully this has changed the mindset of this individuals' stigma on different races and how he approaches it. This individual is a representation of your company, which is not a good look at this point. It took every power in that moment starting from the time I was unjustly stop; to the time that I walked out those doors of you store, to hold back my tears as I represent myself as being a prideful, strong black women in front of my child so that she can grow to be the same. This is a definite moment in my life that I will be forever impacted. read more

I purchased apparel and learned upon trying to return it (despite no obvious sign stating that it could not be returned, due to Covid), that it was not accepted for return. I think there are only 2 other states that the Walmart powers-that-be, dictate no returns currently. I waited in line for 30 minutes, watching as a woman returned multiple notebooks and other items (that are not washable). But an unused apparel item apparently has scary covid on it, but everything else doesn't. Right! Makes sense! Ha! I actually haven't been to a Walmart in years because of the way they treat their employees and the less than desirable shopping experience. I only came in because I came across an ad for a beach umbrella that I liked. While walking in the store, I past by a rain coat that I thought my cousin would like. It was too big. So in my attempt to return, I got the big boot to go away and perhaps not to come back another day. That sealed the deal for me and Walmart. Never again!!!! The only compliment I can give is how gracious the Manager was (I did request to speak with, as the ASS-ociates behind the counter couldn't be bothered and never gave me a clear reason for the return ban). read more

I shop here every week for groceries, etc. The majority of the time everything is stocked...but not always. I guess thats normal. Heddy, one of the greeters is so nice. She may not look approachable at times, but she's a lovely lady. I never have issues with returns, but I always have my receipt! If you don't already belong to the Savings Catcher program, you must do so. They do all the work checking prices at 30+ stores to see who has the cheapest products. If found somewhere else, you get the difference back and it goes into an account. read more

This Walmart needs to make some major changes. Many of the shelves are empty or missing products. Always have problems at self checkout. I am very disappointed with the Walmart on 75th St in Naperville IL. I will avoid shopping there and you should also. Covid cases are surging in many places in the state and the US. The Walmart website states that mask are required, as they should be, a medical fact. Apparently this policy is not strictly enforced. This past evening my wife and I were shopping there and came into contact with a teenage girl not wearing a mask. This was deep inside the store. I asked her why she was not wearing a mask. Associates in the immediate area did not appear to support me. I went to the customer service desk and an an associate there stated it was at the customer's choice. I was appalled. I asked to speak to the manager, but none was around. While checking out, a great employee, Teddy, told me that they looked for the girl, but could not locate her. Thank you Teddy for stepping up. I called this morning, 11/11/2020, to speak with the store manager, Felipe, but gave up after being on hold for 15-20 minutes. for a brand new store, i expected more. Stopped here on Friday 5/23/14 about 4pm for a cellphone car charger. To start, there were 4 employees standing right outside the entrance doors, all smoking and playing on their phones. thought the law was 15 or 20 feet from the door - this was about 5 feet, not to mention, they were all in uniform! the store was very cluttered for prime time shopping - pallets and boxes everywhere. employees were also everywhere, and not doing too much other than chatting with each other. this seems to be a walmart usual - they love to complain about their job, how they haven't had their break, other employees etc - all in the presence of customers! while walking around the new store, i noticed on aisles or sections that weren't being stocked, that there were items all over the floor. clothing sections were terrible. what made it worse, employees were walking right through these sections and stepping right over items on the floor. so i make my way to electronics to seek out the charger i found online. its not in. i checked online and it said it was in stock (i probably should have ordered for immediate pick up but i always end up waiting longer than if i go and find the item(s) myself). so after electronics man is done speaking with his friends, he turns to me and says "yea"? i laugh, and tell him i'm looking for this charger, told him it shows being in stock online etc etc. he walks to where i just came from, and tells me its not in. thanks sherlock! i ask if there might be any more in back - he says - no everything is on the floor (at this point, he takes out his phone to respond to a text). i thank him for his time and very helpful assistance :) and i consider another type of charger. i wander onto the next aisle and low and behold, there are more chargers, and wouldn't you know it, there is the one i was looking for. a whole bunch of em! if a manager (or someone who actually cares) about the store is reading this, you need to crack down on your employees. phones need to stay in their pockets and they need some customer service skills. while i never once visited the previous store that this one replaced (by the mall), i assume they brought over all of the employees so they should know better. there are thousands of people out of work in this economy - people should care about their jobs at least somewhat. the management of this store should be embarrassed and reprimanded. read more

I tried their on-line grocery shopping today with curbside pick-up. Sounded convenient. Everything went fine online until checkout: - found out that I had to drive 10 miles each way to a participating Walmart instead of the one several miles from my home - when selecting items for purchase, there was no notice of out-of-stock items. Only notified of this at checkout - WORST OF ALL, I could not even pick up my groceries today - I had to "schedule"an appointment for sometime later this week. Here's an update for you. My girlfriend went to this Walmart today to return some items received as gifts for her daughter. To her amazement the women working the ironically named customer service counter initially refuse to accept the items with gift receipts. She said that she couldn't refund the items because they were gift receipts because they didn't have the prices on them. Huh...say what?! Then after being taught what a freaking gift means and why they don't have the prices she said that she couldn't refund them because she would have to look up each one. Really?! Isn't that your freaking job! My girlfriend had to get two additionally intellectually challenged managers involved which after having also to be taught why they need to refund these items informed the two women at the customer exchange counter that they should provide refunds. After which both women begrudgingly and as slowly and inefficiently as possible started looking up each item while making comments not so quiet comments under their breaths. This is so totally unacceptable it's not even funny. $15.00 an hr my ass. In fact this Walmart after only months of operation already needs a serious overhaul to ALL the staff working there. I've to Walmarts throughout the country when I've been in need of items I know they carry and have never experienced the utter ineptitude, lack of care, and basic laziness from employees this bad. I can't recommend enough avoiding this Walmart until some serious changes are made. I understand that Walmart is Walmart, but they definitely wouldn't have ever reached the size they are today with staff like they have at this one. So we just went for a run to Walmart to pick up some camping supplies! We were very excited to find a tent on the shelf - perfect size, perfect for our family. It was on the shelf that had a price tag of $109.97, great!! Threw it in the cart - went to check out and surprise - it's actually $189.97!!! They offered to go check the cameras and see if in deed we were telling the truth. They came back with "oh you moved the tent." Actually, we didn't move it at all, we flipped it around to see if we needed additional supplies for it. So, after asking to see the cameras of this happening - all of a sudden they can't show us. They rudely told me over and over that they won't give us $80 off - WHEN THEY ARE THE ONES WITH MISPLACED ITEMS. They also told me that the UPC's didn't match... Just curious - IS IT MY RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK EVERY SINGLE ITEM I PURCHASE AND MATCH TO THE UPC IN THE SHELF?? Are you f'n kidding me... So we left with no tent, no pillows, no sleeping bags, NOTHING. I also told the man that he just lost a customer to which he replied "okay, no problem." NEVER GOING TO ANOTHER WALMART AGAIN!!!!!!! I go there because it's open 24/7, but the fruit isn't very fresh; in fact at this point I gave up on buying it there because 3/4 times I throw it out. Their dairy also isn't stocked sometimes, so you have to come back/ask for items. The wait for the sporting goods people is HORRIBLE, expect to wait 30-60minutes... it's a joke. Bottom line is unless I really need something I go to costco. To their credit though, most of the time the staff is ok, helpful sometimes. read more

I usually go in the morn very early when there isn't many people and hopefully when it's being stocked. Always out of items. I've shopped at super walmarts for years and after moving to Naperville, IL I was excited to see a new Walmart being built.. After so many disappointing moments here and struggles to return items that didn't work and a huge lack of products on the shelf -we are done.
