Located with in Walmart that has an inexspensive optical shop right beside his office. Great for busy parents. My adult son used him after us and was very pleased with his exam visit and prescription.

However - We've been seeing Dr Lum for over 7 years, since we first arrived in San Diego. He's always attentive, considerate, kind and gives us plenty of options and choices of care. I'm very sensitive to any changes that generally are within the "tolerances" allowed by the labs but just aren't quite right for me. Dr. Lee and Dr. Wu both were very patient and kind in working with me to get my prescription just right. The rest of their staff were always very respectful as well. I have been a customer for several years with no problems. I went for my annual visit today and…read moresomething was way off. 1st- I had my insurance card ready when I arrived for my appointment on time. That didn't seem to matter because I still had to download the insurance app and email the information to them. Never had to do that before. My insurance hasn't changed from my previous visits 2- The lady helping me seemed confused about everything! I normally get my eyes tested with the various eye machines for general eye health and then get my acuity checked by an eye doctor (sometimes remotely) to see if my script has changed. I was told that there was no eye doctor available to test my eyes that day....so why was I given that appointment time for an annual eye exam??? 3. The lady said I could use last years script and to pick out a set of frames. I picked the frames I like went to let the lady know I picked out a pair and was told to have a seat. In the mean time another family who came in about 30 min after me was taken back for an eye exam. One bad experience after another! I honestly got stressed out from the whole ordeal and just walked out.

There was a customer that was a little grumpy and rude to Vanessa while i was at the waiting area and Vanessa handle it very professionally. Kudos to her. They took care of me and explained my vision results and assisted with replacing my 10 yrs glasses. The process was quick, my eye insurance sucks. Cant wait for my glasses to come in next week. Yeee!
