I have written ad nauseam it seems about finding a KBBQ place in the Valley. To be honest I had no intention when I wrote my first review to embark on such an impossible task yet here I am like Don Quixote facing down another meat powered windmill. Or rather I have become the Valley's Korean BBQ Batman a silent guardian and watchful protector of all things artery clogging and meat filled. I am the hero the Valley deserves, but I am not the hero the Valley needs right now... or probably ever.. unless there is an Atkins Diet city wide mandate.. I am also ludicrously filled with reasonably and cheaply priced meats right now so I don't know what I am saying all clumsy literary and cinematic metaphors aside. Point is I have come closer to finding a KBBQ spot in the Valley worth calling my meat home. First and foremost Wang Dweh Ji gets my high review not based on quality but straight up on convenience and price mixed with a bit of quality. Don't get it mistaken even for the Valley the quality of the meats here is not the best far fromw it. In fact compared to say AYCE Gogi on Van Nuys I would say it's a few steps behind and pretty much most places in KTown light years behind. The variety of meat and ban chan are severely lacking.You don't get the choices of say the nearby AYCE GOGI, any number of Kbbq places in Ktown or even BCD Tofu located conveniently down the street. Hell the quality is even noticeably lacking and not quite as good as some of the other places BUT what you do get is an nice, relatively quick and inexpensive alternative to get your fix for KBBQ. I've never done drugs but it seems like the affordability of this place is like the crack of KBBQ compared to the cocaine like places in KTOWN. It's relatively cheaper but this shit makes you feel just as good, and honestly you pretty much feel dirty, ashamed, and often have to debase yourself just to satisfy your cravings. So instead of going all the way to KTOWN to pay a higher price, I'm just going to stay on my side of town and in the hood to get my fix. Once again I am pretty much drunk on meat at this point so back to my review. I like this place because although you don't get all the bells and whistles at some of the other places you get what you need. Sometimes going out for KBBQ seems like an entire "thing" like an event. If it's in KTown and god forbid you have a large amount of people, you have to wait for quite awhile, deal with terrible parking, pay an arm and a leg, and you come out smelling, maybe even drunk whether it's from alcohol or meat, and you stumble on home regretting your poor life decisions. So it's like going out in LA only more meat. Here it's down to earth, little to relatively no wait and simple. The place is usually understaffed which kind of sucks both for the customer and the poor waiter who gets stuck in the unenviable position of taking care of all the tables, but even then the service is not that bad. They get you what you need. As mentioned you don't get that many choice of meats or ban chan but you get what you need. Two quick and simple options A and B that don't differ much except B gets you marinated bulgogi, which I would honestly skip. You aren't missing out on much but hey even then the price is so cheap who cares go NUTS! The grill is also a bit different than many of the KBBQ places I've been. I can't tell if I am a fan of it or not but it gets the job done and makes me feel like I am making a little meat fort every time I go. Again I am full of meat right now so I can't be held responsible for the nonsensical ramblings of a mad meat man. Also one thing I really like is they often bring out all the meats in your option all out at the same time! This is really helpful because most times you go pretty hungry and they know and you know damn well you will be ordering more than once, twice, three times, hell who knows. So they cut out the bullshit and just give you all the meats you probably were planning on order on the first order. This hasn't been all the time but for a couple of times they did this when it was busy and it was awesome. You can order single orders from there or several at a time which ever you prefer but I like that they are on it from the get go. Only complaint is the rice. I generally think getting rice is a rookie move at AYCE KBBQ and only slows you down. But on one of my visits I needed my grainy friends. They charge you for rice. While not unheard of it's like two bucks for one bowl and its not free refills so that's kind of a bummer. But whatever even then the base price you are paying is pretty low like $12.99 for A and $14.99 for B so you are still making out like a meat smelling bandit come check time. If you are looking for a no frills place come here. But come here knowing that while you might be losing on some preconceived notions of quality or expectations you make up for it in price and experience. read more

I absolutely love this spot! This is my go to for KBBQ in the valley! It's a small little hole in the wall type of restaurant, but there's plenty of parking. The prices are extremely reasonable about $14-$16 for all you can eat meat. I really enjoy the beef shoulder, as if has no fat on it. The beers are also decently priced as well. Saw this place as I was driving by and decided to head to this place with a few friends after the gym. Their All You Can Eat prices are either 10.99 for Brisket/Pork Belly or 12.99 to add Bulgolgi. Though this may not seem like much, well it really isn't, but a cheap place like this in the valley is rare! Anyways, we all went with the 12.99 deal. First the side orders, or should I just say side order. All they gave us was Kim Chi. The other dishes they provided were sliced onions/jalapenos which they told us to add into the sauce which was pretty new for me and quite good as well. The meal also came with a salad. The meat itself, all came frozen aside from the Bulgolgi. The brisket had plenty of fat. They hardly gave us any pork belly when we ordered it, they were cut into small squares. Seems as if they were running low. The Bulgolgi was good at first, but later on the sweetness was unbearable. Though for overall taste, it was good. My friend's major gripe about this place is the absence of rice paper since he tries to stray from eating rice. Service was good, helpful and friendly. No complaints there. The biggest issue wasn't our experiences there, but in the bathroom. Three of us ate there, 3 of us had similar stomach issues. Sooo yeahhhhhhhhhhhh... You have to pay for the rest - rice, soup, etc. I asked one of the waiters for "Two Sesame Dipping Oils" and for some reason he thought I said "Egg Soup" - I don't know how he could have mistaken it for that. Was it a language barrier? Who knows, but you're running a business so let's make sure there is no miscommunication there, okay? The manager came by to our table and asked what happened. We always go here but their prices went up. From $10.99 to $11.99 and their cup of rice from $1 to $1.25 so if you add it up, it is $13.24/person...probably because they have these new tables compared to before. The food is still the same but then I realized that it is now better to go to Pine Tree and pay $13.99 (M-Thu) & you will get 4 different kinds of meat, salad, rice, soup, & atleast 5 different side dish. They also serve complimentary hot tea! Or $15.99 (Fri-Sun) and get all of the above plus steamed egg casserole (upon request). I just wish the owner of this restaurant will read this so he'll realize that there are other Korean Bbq witgh good deals, bigger & CLEANER place than theirs. I've been here a couple other times and I am really surprised to see the 1-star and 2-star ratings given to this place. What do people expect for all you can eat Korean BBQ for $10.99? If I'm knowingly going to a place for this amount of food for this cheap of a price, I'm not going to expect much because I obviously went there because I'm broke. Otherwise, I'd hit up K-town and go to Tahoe Galbi and spend twice as much. Anyways... Yes, this place is not the best but you get what you pay for. You get only one type of meat (the thinly sliced cuts of beef) with the regular K-BBQ salad that accompanies your meat. The sauce they have available is really good; it's like sour soy sauce. Mix the sauce with loads of onions and a few jalapenos and you're all set. The only thing missing that I would have liked was the thin sheets of rice paper that you would normally use to wrap your meat and salad in. Oh well. Still good! My roommate and I came here for a late dinner and had an unpleasant experience. None of the waiters approached us upon entering the restaurant. A few minutes later, I went to the register only to have the manager tell us to wait in the back. We ordered the all you can eat brisket/pork belly/marinated beef (option B. for $12.99). This place does not offer sides like other Korean BBQ restaurants. The quality of the meat was not the best either. The manager had a negative vibe and became stingy with the meat after two orders. I don't know how this place got 3.5 stars, should be 1! I walk in with my friend and they don't even greet us. We walk to their register and they just say "sign in over there." After seated, they don't even give us a menu or ask what meat we want. They just assume brisket and bring meat without asking. We had no idea how much it was or anything! After the first batch of meat, we wanted to leave because the service was terrible and we still didn't get our waters! BUT they just bring a 2nd batch of meat. We just look at each other and are like whatever and went along. After eating a little more, we decided we're done. STILL DIDN'T GET WATER. My friend had to walk to them to ask for the bill and water and the owner said "oh if you want the bill, do you still want water?" SERIOUSLY?! Not even an apology or anything. We waited longer than we anticipated but it was kinda okay because the place is small. When the table was "ready" (as they say) we hurriedly walked to the table because we were hungry and waited awhile but everything was REALLY DIRTY even the chairs, there were oils from the meat I'm guessing, so my girlfriend asked if they can wipe it out but the guy stared at us and rolled his eyes then grab the chair and exchanged it with the chair right behind our table without even asking them, OKAY RUDE! I was already annoyed but my girlfriend told me to be calm about it so i let it go. But then, this rude bearded guy with a hat happens to be our server YAY! He was so rude all night I lost my appetite and just didn't wanna say anything to ruin my friends' night. He kept on slamming the plates on the table rudely, like he was really annoyed. Still, I myself is a server at a kbbq so i know how it feels but it is NEVER okay to act like that with customers. Rice is 1.25 which is VERY DISAPPOINTING and they dont have fountain soda, they have canned soda which is 1.25 also. It's not worth it. The dining went by okay since we try not to ask anything from the rude guy, but here's what's shady about it. When we were done and ready to pay, I understand that for bigger parties gratuity is already included. But it says it's 15% for big parties, we only realized we got ripped off when we were all outside and asking how much we pay since we did seperate checks. We did the math and they took 20% and they don't freakin deserve it. I could've given them NONE! If you can, don't go here. Drive all the way to ktown with better choice of meat. Alcoholic drinks are limited, to just Chamisul (the korean wine in the green bottle) and Hite (beer). But honestly, what more do you need? Haha. Salad is part of the menu. Haven't ordered rice or steamed egg, so can't say if they're free or not. Whenever I go with my friend, we go through 5-7plates of brisket. So yes, we eat our money's worth and much more :). Place is small, but clean. They don't seat you until they make sure your grilling plate and table area is wiped up and clean. The meat is thinly sliced so cooking time is minimal! They also have this kind of sauce.. can't really tell what it is, but definitely mixed with fish sauce, soy (maybe), and other watered down stuff. But it tastes great. Definitely not MSG (I'm super sensitive to that). Service is amazing. The workers stop by frequently to refill your meat plate, and ask if you need anything else. One time, my friends and I came here at 1:45AM. fifteen minutes before closing. THEY STILL SERVED US HAPPILY! That says a lot about the business :). As for parking... Because there is a Denny's in front and other businesses as well, it may be hard to find parking sometimes. I've always been lucky with a space, but that's just me.. As with every other cheap krn bbq I have been to, your plate of brisket is going to be composed of 70% fat, 30% protein. BUT. I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted to introduce a friend to his very first all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue joint, so I took him to Maroo in Northridge. Unfortunately, they were closed....forever. So we took a chance and looked for a nearby spot. I found this place. For AYCE for $10.99, the meat selection was very limited. For that deal, you get 2 choices of meat...that's it. The wait staff was friendly, but that's all the good things I can say. I'm not saying the food was bad, but the meat was not seasoned nor marinated at all. I really wish they had a menu with more options, as 2 meats + 2 side dishes is really lacking for a KBBQ AYCE... The hours are great though and the price is decent ($11.99 pp, $13.99 option isn't worth it), but not really worth considering what you get in comparison to the competition. I come here maybe once every 6-8 months which is not good considering I live 30 seconds away. This place offers Brisket and Pork belly, but honestly I couldn't tell the difference after putting them both on the grill. The grill is also kind of annoying since all the grease drips to the sides near to where you're sitting and in some cases will pop onto you which is annoying and painful. Things like rice and stews should be free, as it makes patrons fuller, so not sure where they're going with their business logic either... unless their meat cuts are cheaper than the sides which is a concern in itself. I really like that ponzu sauce or whatever they got goin on for the meat. I'd honestly rather drive up to kalbeQ up in simi valley if I can make it before closing time. After moving to LA Ive stopped by a few other KBBQ spots (Castle BBQ being the best price-to-quality so far) and decided to come back to this place since a friend and I were in the area. It wasnt like i remembered, the briskets were too chewy n thick. The sauce doesnt really do much for the meat either. It just didnt feel or taste the same as the first time, maybe because I may be more experienced? They also raised the all you can eat from $9.99 to $10.99. I must be spoiled from living in Koreatown for a year because now any other Korean restaurant I eat at is just a joke. I can't believe the service! We had an older server in his mid 50's who would make no eye contact with us the whole time. We weren't even handed menus when he sat us down, just asked us all if we wanted the $10.99 option. Once we received the meat and started putting it on the grill we realized he didn't bring us any rice. We asked for rice and he nods his head. He never once told us that it was $1 each. We don't mind paying the extra but he should have let us know. Especially since he didn't even give us menus throughout the entire process! After knowing I paid over $10 for this meal I figured it was too late but to eat the meal. I really wish I hadn't because I was just so disappointed with the taste, or lack thereof. It's next to the Denny's and a korean market. The good thing about this place is that it's local and decent if you don't want to trek all the way out to k-town for late night AYCE KBBQ. Menu- Not a very big selection and how they combine the garlic with jalapeño is alright. I like that they're open until 2 am. My husband and I came at 12:30 and it seemed like only one waiter was working at the time. He hustled because there were a lot of customers. So two stars to that guy for working his butt off. I wrote $40 on the receipt which included the tip, but a few days later the pending charge on my debit card changed to $75!!! I reported it to my bank and its being disputed!
