It will be busy you will have to wait, but let me tell you the turnover of the tables by the staff is its own ballet. And once you are shown to your table the wait will be worth it. Point number two order potatoes that are fried in duck fat and sprinkled with garlic and parsley. *if all. I did was return in the future for those potatoes and nothing more the trip is worth it. Now the place is loud and busy and you would not want it any other way the energy is contagious the "Ambiance" is simple you are glad to be there and the employees are glad you are there too.

Didn't need a reservation to sit, but I assume it's much more crowded on the weekends. Parking was fine. Ordered French toast, avocado toast with poached egg, carnitas Benedict, and Churro waffles. Honestly, everything was a bit average and lacking flavor. The churro waffles were by far the favorite and the best deal, price to taste-wise. Definitely get it if you're gonna try anything here. Otherwise, Bloom was slightly lackluster for me. Nothing terrible, but I prefer Sweet Maple as a brunch spot.

I highly recommend…read moreit for people who don't want to deal with the line that understandably goes out the door. The food is worth the wait. Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.

Depending on the time, it can get quite crowded. I came in around 9:30am and by the time I got to checkout, the baristas ran out of dine-in mugs. Which is why I opted for an iced americano. It had a nice creama layer and a well balanced flavor. Not too acidic or bitter. I got the french onion soup, labeled as a popular item/staple of the bakery. It is quite a lot of soup, I wish it came with a side of bread/sourdough as towards the end it was all soup and nothing to contrast it. It was nicely broiled at the top with some small pieces of bread and a healthy layer of cheese that made it so exciting to eat. Even the crust of the bread had some crunch although fully soaked. The bakery has wifi which is really handy since I think reception in that area wasn't the best. Wifi password is displayed at the register. I will come back to try the sandwiches!

I tried the pandan latte and was pleasantly surprised on how you could still taste the pan although it is not as strong as I've had with matches I think with the coffee it went really well to add extra aroma to the milk. It had the perfect amount of caffeine. The kiosk to order can be a little confusing. Not everything is uploaded with pictures, which could be more helpful for our first time customers. I ended up helping a couple next to me. Look for the burrito because it was labeled somewhere else in menu. If I have time to dine in, I would love to try everything on the menu. It looks so good. They even have Korean style toast here. On Mother's Day the seats were all taken as everyone was just chilling there, but I think it's a great spot on weekdays to do work or grab a quick brunch with friends. The area is very spacious and not tight like some other coffee shops.

Are we really at a point where people are just so accustomed to average food such that mediocre eateries are terrific to them? I came across this food truck at an Off the Grid event. I actually was excited to try this food truck as the photos on their Yelp page looked good... first mistake. The photos are incredibly outdated as this truck no longer serve mac and cheese nor collard greens, which are two dishes that I enjoy. Even their main fried chicken and waffle menu has gone from about ten items down to five. Nevertheless, I decided to get a fried chicken and waffle sandwich and ordered the Spicy and I Know It. It was honestly the saddest sandwich I have ever seen. The waffle was barely the same quality as what you would get at the continental breakfast served at your local inn. The cheese was sliced processed cheese that you get at Safeway and the fried chicken was worse than what you get at KFC. The cherry on top was that the maple syrup that they gave you with the waffles was a packaged condiment like what you would get at a fast food joint. I am truly shocked at the almost perfect score of this truck. Whether I give a place a perfect or a mediocre rating, I still somewhat understand the overall rating but in the case, I am truly lost.

I came here specifically for their waffles this time. Just a heads up--cash only if under $10. I ended up getting 3 flavors: pandan, strawberry, and durian for $12 total. Service was fast and friendly. Wait time was about 15-20 mins because they were busy on the weekend. Each waffle is pretty big and thick, texture-wise it's soft with a slight crunch and a little chewy. Flavor-wise... it was just okay tbh. Not too sweet, which I like, but nothing super special. I guess it based on personal reference but I've definitely had better waffles at other spots. Strawberry and pandan had a medium scent/flavor, not super strong. The durian one actually had a light fragrance and my friend surprisingly liked it LOL (it was her first time trying anything durian so I was lowkey nervous for her reaction) Overall, this place is still a classic in the Viet community and their nước mía is pretty good (I do come back for that from time to time). But for the waffles alone... it was just alright, not really something I would go out of my way for.

Though the waffle piece was thick and fluffy and cooked just right to a browned crisp on the surface, it was overshadowed by the sliced strawberries and whipped cream which made up the majority of this dessert. These ingredients were good too, fresh and delicious, and the chocolate sauce added to the perfect combination of flavors, but the waffle (about the size of half a slice of bread) didn't shine in a way I'd expect from a waffle truck. Also, they ran out of or stopped selling the loaded waffle fries (with cheddar, bacon, and sour cream) by late afternoon.
