Food is great, service is awesome! I have been there several times and it's a great place for breakfast and conversation.

One of the better breakfast/brunch places I've had. The classic dish is the fried chicken croffle, and it definitely feels like that's what they're known for and for good reason, this is easily the better dish, dare say I think it beats Roscoe's? The chicken skin was nicely fried, crispy, but more importantly the chicken inside was juicy and moist, not dry at all, and this goes for the entire chicken. It was great with the sauce, mix of sweet and savory. Even though we're not kidding anyone, there's also some salad on the side so that we can all tell ourselves we're not being completely unhealthy. The salmon benedict was not as good, but still solid. There was spinach below the salmon and also has greens on the side, so this is definitely the healthier option, but I felt that the spinach and salmon and sauce combo made things a bit too moist in the middle, almost borderline watery, there wasn't enough flavor in salmon to justify that kind of texture. Came here on a Sunday around 11 am. We had a party of 5 adults and 2 kids, but we didn't make reservation in advance so the wait was around 20-30 mins which isn't bad because I was initially quoted over 1 hour. However, more people started coming in starting around noon. Everything seemed good on the menu but I ultimately decided on the classic omelette and added steak, which also came with a side salad and potatoes. Probably took about 10 mins or so for everyone's food to come out. The omelette was a good portion for the price of $20. The best part was the steak as it was tender and not dried or overcooked. Just hoped they would put a bit more spinach though. The potatoes were a bit crispy on the side and the side salad was perfect to complement the meal. The restaurant isn't that big so I can see why it would be a long wait especially for larger parties. For dinner time, this place turns into a shabu restaurant. This restaurant was a bit difficult to find as it's tucked in between medical buildings, but there is plenty of parking in the plaza. I typically dislike writing poor reviews but was so looking forward to enjoying a nice birthday brunch. The service and ambiance were pretty good however the food was not. I had asked the waitress for her recommendation and most popular dish. She suggested the chilaquiles so my husband and I decided to order that. The presentation was great but the taste of the salsa was not. The salsa tasted very salty and had a strong taste of vinegar. I couldn't even eat those chilaquiles! I was so disappointed. When the waitress asked how was everything I was pretty honest with her and told her my feedback. Her respond was that she gets that a lot from other customers. I was speechless after that. We actually failed our first attempt because they close at like 2pm and shut the waitlist off even earlier. I actually didn't know this cafe turns into an wagyu shabu place at night, but that kinda checks out. Vibe kinda felt like they wanted us to eat as fast as possible so they could prep. The meat is really good, and they probably need time to set up for dinner. When we finally were able to snag a seat, they were out of like 4 things lol. Out in Chino over the weekend with my wife, daughter and her girlfriend and they picked the spot. Nice ambiance friendly staff the food was pretty good I have to say! My wife and my daughter's girlfriend both ordered the breakfast burrito with candied bacon eggs potatoes cheese avocado and a side of chipotle mayo, which looked amazing and a flavor bomb! my daughter order the chilaquiles and unfortunately had a hair in it which knocked off a star but they were gracious enough to replace and comp the meal that was nice! I ordered the Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict which was amazing the chicken nice and crispy the eggs with perfect runny yolk but the kicker was the gravy I loved it!!! I was told it would be a 45-minute wait, but we ended up waiting over an hour. If they have big parties, they prioritize them over smaller groups, meaning you could be left waiting even longer. Service is decent, but I'd rate it about a 6/10. The food, however, was pretty solid for the price--definitely an 8/10. Overall, if you're in a rush or don't want to deal with the long wait times, you might want to come during off-peak hours. Truly the star and highlight of my classic breakfast dish is the candied bacon and Kurobuta pork sausages. Loved the sweet, savory & robust flavor of the bacon strips while the texture of the sausage was tender and also flavorful. Paired perfectly with the Spanish latte drink, my dish came with roasted potatoes, vinaigrette salad, toast and eggs cooked over easy. The potatoes were just average, but overall the dish was filling. Hubby enjoyed the classic omelette with ham paired with ube latte (not pictured). Brunch servings are proportionally large. We came as a large party on a Sunday afternoon. The dining area inside is comfy for smaller parties so we got situated outside. There's plenty of parking in this plaza and there's restrooms in the far corner. Love that there's options to sit indoor or outdoor. Plenty of empty tables, yet I was completely ignored at the entrance. The staff looked at me several times but never acknowledged me or offered me a table. After waiting 20 minutes with no communication whatsoever, I left. While I was waiting, I noticed other diners had been sitting there the entire time without receiving their food. Even when I left after 20 minutes, they were still waiting. If that's any indication, the service here is incredibly slow. I won't be coming back. read more

The girls are always so friendly and are always checking on you. Depending on the time there might be a wait but it's worth the wait. I have been wanting to try this restaurant for two weeks, but they are not opened on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The location is not located in a busy area. The restaurant is a little small, but it does have like two or three tables (outside) in front of the restaurant. Waited maybe 10 minutes for the hot Americano coffee my mom and I ordered, which was not even refillable. Waitress said only the regular house coffee is refillable. I've never had chicken and waffles before as a combination and croffle is even more different than waffles. It was alright for having it for the first time. Made me feel like I was eating a croissant and bigger pieces of chicken tenders that were moist. The spicy syrup that came with it when I first tasted it, I was like this is good, kind of sweet with a hint of spice. The more I used it the more I felt the spiciness, but it was tollerible for a person that doesn't eat a lot of spicy food. I give it a 7 out of 10 rating. The Smoked Salmon Bagel my mom ordered was pretty good. It had mustard seed on top, which we were not used to. I only tried a little piece of it. I would rate that a 8.75 out of 10. By the way, it took a long time for our food to come out. Not sure how long because we didn't time it. It was probably 15-20 minutes. Art does take time, but usually food at restaurants come out quicker than that. The waitress was friendly. If I could give another half star, I would have given a 3.5 rating. Maybe someday I will try it again and test out their other menu items. The Salmon Bagel is worth ordering again and the price is good. The Chicken and Croffle was good, but not exciting to order again. Food was delicious! The fried chicken croffle came with a spicy maple syrup that was so flavorful. It just the right amount of sweetness and spice for me. Pretty awesome food. Got the fried chicken Benedict which is on their croffle. The gravy on the Benedict (not hollandaise sauce) was amazing. It's what I want from a white chicken gravy. The chicken was juicy and the croffle was flaky. All in all, great meal. It was a bit of a smaller portion, one croffle and one pieces of chicken, split between two eggs. I'm guessing the fried chicken croffle would have been two? But skipping out on the gravy would have been a crime. Partner got the classic breakfast (unfortunately they were out of the pork sausage) and he thought the candied bacon was too soft (I agree. I feel like I expected a nice crunch caramelization for candied bacon, but it felt more like pepper bacon dipped in syrup) the potatoes were great! I didn't think I'd like them because they look like just fingerling potatoes but the seasoning and fry on it was great. We got a side of French toast which was also good. Not incredible or unique, but solid French toast. The ambiance was a bit weird cuz it's basically a shabu restaurant at night so it felt a bit out of place. We were suspicious of an entre named Chicken & Craffles. I'm sooooo glad I gave this place a chance. The chicken was seasoned to the gods, the salad was light and tasty. Delicious! This was my first time at Wara Cafe and it was a lovely experience. I came on Sunday at 8:30am with a friend and we were seated almost immediately. I got the Shrek Latte and Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict & my friend ordered a Spanish latte and fried chicken croffle. The shrek latte was tasty! It reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch with a hint of matcha. However, the star of the show was the fried chicken eggs Benedict. It was perfectly executed and well flavored. Breakfast with my husband! Interesting concept; it's a breakfast spot from 8am to 2pm and a hot pot restaurant from 5pm to close. Same owner different restaurant names but breakfast was delicious, service was outstanding. Joe said the Chimichurri was the best he's ever had (and the server brought us a to-go container)his steak was cooked dcactly like he asked for it, the waffle was a croffle; part waffle part crossaint - 10/10. If I had to give a criticism, they need to deep clean the bathroom and not use the second bathroom stall as a storage closet. I have have called 3 times to see if they have steak available and they are out everytime I have called around 12pm. So I had to postpone coming on my only day off with my spouse 3 times. So the 4th time was the charm. Woke up early and drove 35 mins to come here. Waited an hour to be seated another 20mins to be served steak that seems to have cartilage. Spent like 27 bucks on this not worth. Long waits, they always say multiple menu items are out stock on Sundays. The staff is amazing and doing there best! I love the chili syrup, the crispy chicken and croffle. They all pair well with each other! And the Ube French toast is so satisfying. The portion is just right and the amount of sweetness from the Ube cream is also just perfection. This place is somewhat hidden amongst all the medical building, but it is still visible from the parking. There are also plenty of parking as well when we went. I finally stopped by after Wara Cafe being in my bookmarks & it was sooo good. I got the smoked salmon Benedict, it came with a salad and potatoes. My friend got the Wagyu burger & we split the seasonal French toast which was bacon and some syrup, IT WAS BOMB. This place is amazing !! A hidden gem in chino. The restaurant is a little small so there can be a wait during popular breakfast and brunch hours. I came around 10:00 and the wait wasn't super long only about 10-15 minutes. The weather was nice so I was seated outdoors. Our server was super nice and attentive and gave us recommendations on the menu. The food is a bit pricy but the portions are super large! I got the fried chicken croffle and it was so juicy, perfectly seasoned, and crispy all in one dish. My only complaint would be that I wish there was more salad to eat with it since the chicken portion is large. I will 100% be back here ! read more
