I only got a hot cocoa; it was sweet in a good way! I really loved it and felt like a kid again drinking a hot cocoa with a mountain of whipped cream on top! I really enjoyed drinking the hot cocoa in the spectator seats to watch a hockey game! Fun experience that i'd recommend!
If you're visiting the Charles M. Schultz museum don't forget to visit the Warm Puppy Cafe! It's the cutest little cafe with everything Peanuts and Snoopy related. It's also attached to an ice rink which I thought was really nice - but be warned. Depending on the season it will be packed. Everything we had was really good, definitely recommend a hot chocolate if the weather calls for it. I believe some menu items are seasonal and rotate but I really enjoyed the carnitas tacos (if they have them, i definitely recommend) and my husband got a turkey sandwich. It was just your typical turkey sandwich, nothing to write home about. Honestly though - even if the food wasn't good I would come here for the vibes and experience alone.
It was my first time visiting the warm puppy cafe and it was so cute inside I could not believe. They also have an ice skating ring inside which is amazing. I ordered their grilled cheese with fries but you do have the option of getting tomato bisque instead. It was perfectly crisp and delicious. The fries were also perfectly crisp. I also got a root beer float and the ice cream they used was one of the beat ever. There is plenty of seating inside and the employee who took our order was very nice.
Right next to the museum so it came in for a quick bite, nice place to sit down and relax. Able to see all those skaters on the ice rink. And it's very decorated very cute with peanuts. We made a purchase the services very nice and quick.
If you love the Peanuts this is a must do for you. The food & prices are okay but all the Snoopy & Peanuts themed decor makes it worth the visit. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. It had a messy sauce on it which made it tough to eat. My friend got the chili & corn bread. Charles M Schulz, the creator of the Peanuts used to come here for lunch. It's cafeteria style so you order at the counter and pick it up when they call your number. It's attached to the ice rink & across the street from the Charles M Schulz Museum.
Typically, whenever I'm hungry and in an area that I don't find myself in all that often, the Yelper in me always feels compelled to hop on the app and search for the best places to get something to eat at. Trendy, popular, highly rated, just looks interesting...it doesn't matter. In this case, though, all of that went out the window. After all, following a day spent checking out the Charles Schultz Museum, the experience wouldn't be complete without stopping to grab something to eat at the Warm Puppy Cafe! Even if we figured the food may not amaze us... Located inside Snoopy's Home Ice, across the street from the museum, Warm Puppy Cafe is more of a snack bar for the ice rink than an actual cafe. That being said, the menu actually has a solid selection to choose from. Given their nature, we weren't surprised to see the likes of hot dogs, pretzels, chicken tenders, fries, and ice cream offered, but we were surprised to see things like clam chowder, caesar salad, garden burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, foccacia pizza, reubens, egg salad sandwiches, caprese sandwiches, and even pot pies show up. Their signature offering, though, are their variety of hot cocoas, which we, tragically, weren't in really in the mood for. Since we were looking to just get a snack before heading back towards SF, we opted to just get an order of their CHICKEN TENDER & FRIES ($13) and a ROOT BEER FLOAT ($7). Overall, both were mostly fine for what they are, but they also left us with mixed feelings. On the plus side, both the tenders and the fries were crispy and I like how the chicken wasn't dried out and how the fries weren't very greasy. Yet, on the other, the portion felt a little light on chicken (one of the pieces was pretty small). As for the float, the taste of it was pretty decent and didn't taste overly sweet, but it's disappointing how they use soft serve instead of ice cream (which would've gave this a creamier texture). Between how a lot of folks mosey on over from the Charles Schultz Museum, as well from the adjoining ice skating rink, there's typically a line here regardless of what time it is. Plus, given how their prices aren't all that terrible, it's a viable option to get something to eat while you're already in the area. Personally, while I'm certainly glad to have come here, I'd be lying if I said I'd choose to come back here for a meal over checking out what the rest of Santa Rosa has to offer. However, if/when we're back at the museum and in search of a treat, I wouldn't be opposed to finding out why their hot cocoa is so popular!
On our ultimate Snoopy adventure trip, we had to stop and visit the Schulz campus, which included the Snoopy Home Ice Rink. Inside, you will find the cutest little cafe where Charles Schulz himself used to hang out. In fact, his regular table is still there and reserved for him. The Peanuts theme throughout this cafe is super cute. From the Peanuts stained glass windows to the creative menu names. The menu is simple, but the quality of the food is great. Not gourmet, but hot, fresh and what would be expected at a quick service snack bar. Definitely get yourself a hot chocolate! The cup that they come in is very cute and it was just down right a great cup of hot chocolate! If you are planning to do a little Ice Skating, be sure to plan accordingly. There are specific times that are available for open skating. When we were there, there was a hockey tournament going on so we were not able to ice skate. Overall, great little cafe. I am so glad we made time to sit and enjoy this one.

The staff was friendly and kept things moving, which makes a big difference in a busy space like this. Cleanliness-wise, it's what you'd expect from a high-traffic spot with skaters, tourists, and families coming through nonstop, not spotless, but understandable given the environment. Overall, it's a fun stop, especially with everything around it. Being attached to the ice rink and the Charlie Brown museum makes it more of an experience than just a place to eat. Definitely worth it for the vibe alone.
It's an ice ring cafe with a Peanut's Charlie Brown and gang theme. Ordering is fast. You get a pager and once it vibrates your food is ready for pick up. The food is typical fast food.
Fun stop for food after visit the Charles Schulz Museum. My wife is a major Snoopy fan. Much more than most people might imagine. So when we visited the museum we had to stop and check out the cafe as well. The line can be long, as it's attached to the skate rink, which I imagine stays busy. But it moved relatively fast and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I was able to secure a table outside with minimal wait time. The variety of hot chocolate looked great. But we were there around lunch time and were hungry. I went for something different and got the pulled pork sandwich. It was actually far better than I expected. The bread was toasted and very fresh which makes a big difference. The fries were also good. My wife ordered the Miller Hot Dog combo and it was very tasty. She also ordered a chili for us to try. Again, better than expected. Hearty flavor and very tasty. Our kids got tenders and grill cheese which were serviceable and pretty standard. All in all, it was surprisingly better than expected. It's not a fancy gourmet meal. But c'mon, it's Peanuts/Snoopy themed and it's on site with the museum, ice rink and gift shop. Honestly not bad at all, we'd eat there again on our next trip to the museum. I'd like to try the cocoa next time!
The warm puppy cafe has the very best hot chocolate drinks. It is inside Snoopy's Home Ice and just next to the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center building. I highly recommend "the gang" drink. It was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. It was rich and creamy. I liked the salty peanut butter sauce on top of the whipped cream. The burger looked delicious next to our drinks. Overall, the atmosphere is great with a Snoopy theme. The menu is wide and the choices are varied at reasonable prices. The hot chocolate is a must-have drink. You will never go wrong. The hot chocolate drink paired with peanut butter is a perfect match. For your information, the line, however, was kind of slow due to the size of the shop and its limited space. So be prepared and be patient.
so cute! quick and easy service. pretty empty on a weekday early afternoon. the tiramisu was so yummy and the drink was very sweet and creamy. definitely share with friends! loved all the decorations
Such a cute spot to have lunch near the Charles M Schulz museum & ice rink! The food options looked pretty basic but honestly everything was very good! I loved the grilled cheese & flavorful tomato soup (did not taste like it just came out of a can. Super flavorful and creamy!) I also liked the turkey cheddar sandwich -- came with veggies and flavorful aioli & big serving of fries. The snoopy's special came with a souvenir plastic dog bowl which was cute but the food was pretty simple -- just a normal hot dog and lays chips. The price of everything was honestly not that bad; for 3 entrees we paid $40. I wish we had room for the hot chocolate because it looked so good & the cup was adorable! Service was friendly and food didn't take too long to come out. There's lots of seating inside & outside. I loved sitting in the little courtyard outside next to the huge snoopy hedge.
Parking lot and restrooms shared with skating rink. The food was delicious. It was prepared in a short time. The staff was friendly, patient and helpful. The noise level was loud because there were a lot of children. There was seating but it filled up quickly. If you are at the skating rink or museum, it is a great option. read more
the menu wasn't snoopy enough. it was simple american classics, it felt really plain and not too exciting items. most themed items were the hot cocoa. tbh really good chicken tenders and fries. nice crisp and fries were delicious. mcdonald's fries on a good day!! quite possibly the best hot cocoa i've ever had. the gang was TEWWWW good. a peanut butter hot cocoa? why did i never think about that line is awkwardly situated and the seating is too small for a busy day. But the staff was really nice and helpful. read more

The Warm Puppy Cafe if a welcoming cafe where the food is served by a cheerful staff. Always clean cafeteria style food, excellent french fries! We have been going regularly for over 30 years. You can sit by the fireplace and watch the ice skaters and the Zamboni go by. Or you can sit outside in the sunshine under umbrellas, and enjoy the sound of the breeze blowing through the redwood trees. Highly recommend for all Peanuts/Charles Schultz fans. read more
After a visit at the museum the gang was ready for a snack. I didn't have high expectations but I did want to eat something before heading out. I opted for the grilled cheese and fries. My family got the same thing with tomato soup, tenders, Mac and cheese, and hot chocolate. The wait time to get my order was short. My grilled cheese was toasted to perfection. Your basic grilled cheese but delicious and crunchy. My fries were also good but the tomato soup was even better with the grilled cheese. I kept dipping mine into my sister tomato soup. The tomato soup had a good flavor and was not too tart. I also sipped on the Oreo hot chocolate which again is your basic hot chocolate with Oreos but it was made right and was delicious. The space was cozy and had a fireplace. There was stained glass windows and a room full of the hockey attire of Charles Schulz. Big large windows to see the ice rink while you ate lunch. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your food inside and outside. Cashier was friendly. Simple menu. Basic food done right. read more
Such a cute place to visit before/after ice skating or visiting the museum. We split the grilled cheese and tomato soup and fries as a quick snack. I was impressed with how creamy the tomato soup was and the fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. After skating, we each got a different hot chocolate--they tasted very distinct and suited each of our personal preferences. The Snoopy tasted like butterscotch, the Gang like creamy peanut butter, Pigpen like Oreos (a more elevated classic hot chocolate flavor), and Peppermint Patty like a mint chocolate holiday drink. Service was pretty fast once you ordered, and the staff at the cashier was friendly. There is wifi provided and plenty of seating inside and outside, and you can see the skaters on the rink too. read more

Must visit when you're in Santa Rosa with kids! We came during our visit to the Charles Schultz Museum (right across the street, 3 min walking). Very affordable prices, fun atmosphere where you can experience what Sparky did for several years, and also watch whatever is happening on the ice - we saw a hockey game when we came. We got the grilled cheese with tomato soup, tuna melt, chicken tenders with fries and chicken pot pie. Food was decent and well priced. We also got hot cocoas and an iced coco. A little too sweet for me but the kids loved it. Would definitely come back when we're here! read more

We went to skating rink last weekend and this cafe is the cutest! I love the vibe! The snoopy illustrations on the wall and their cups, wrappers and more! I ordered just plain coffee and breakfast sandwich on a brioche bread while I wait for my daughter to finish! it was good and fast! Staff is friendly and service is great! Cant wait to go back to try other items in their menu! read more

Came here on a Saturday after visiting the Charles M. Schultz Museum, and the place was packed, no surprise since I imagine weekends are always a full house. Worth keeping in mind when planning your visit! Their classic hot cocoa was sweet, rich, chocolatey, topped with whipped cream, and the cup it came in was super cute. Right inside, there's an ice skating rink, which I thought was really cool. It's a good size and seems perfect for families and beginners. read more
Stopped into Warm Puppy Cafe for cuteness and after learning about it at the museum, but was thoroughly surprised at how delicious everything was! The pretzel was pillowy soft, which I did not expect. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was also amazing. I guess they source as much as they can from the local community, which is great. You get a free coupon if you visit the museum! The ice rink was closed for renovations, but the overall atmosphere was very very sweet and had Snoopy everywhere of course. read more

Must experience for all Snoopy lovers! The iced Peppermint Patty hot chocolate was delicious and the cookies are filled with huge chocolate chunks. I also had the tuna melt which was nostalgic and satisfying. So fun to watch the ice skaters, even in the middle of summer! Swung by before we headed to the museum. It is a cute little spot that is located where the ice rink is. They have seating inside so we could sit and eat and watch people in the ice rink. The food was quick and good and had quite a few options. Everyone was nice and the serve was good. read more
After visiting the museum finally this time the cafe was opened to the public as a Peanut 's fan it was something that I was looking forward to do it. The place is like old fashioned, classic ice rink. Line was long maybe because it was around lunch time but it moved kinda fast. Inside was fresh and that feels good because outside was pretty hot and sunny day. The menu was simple for a quick bite. Nothing sophisticated but flavor was ok. Nothing extraordinary but to be honest I went more for the vibe that the food itself. They also offer couple vegetarian options and that for us was a plus. Also the root beer float was yummy. I ordered one hot dog special that came with potatoes chips because that it's served on a dog dish that has Snoopy printed. And you can take as a souvenir o for your dog. read more

Items Ordered: Peppermint Patty Hot Chocolate- Simple, but yummy! It was topped with peppermint and whipped cream. Snoopy Hot Chocolate- Too sweet for my taste. If you have a sweet tooth and love for white chocolate, you may enjoy it though. Service: The staff was friendly and they hand you your hot chocolate at the register as soon as you order. Ambience: The cafe had a very warm cozy vibe. We sat next to the fireplace to warm up since it was a chilly day. The cafe also has a view of the ice rink and has a party room. read more
Such a cute cafe. I came here years ago when my daughter was small and my mom could move around more. At that time, the cafe was being remodeled. I am glad to see the improvements! We enjoyed the peppermint patty hot chocolate and ice cream. Each was delicious and very sweet and rich. Our timing enabled us to view the last few moments of hockey practice, too. read more

I was staying in Ukiah, and Santa Rosa only being an hour away, I drove down to see Snoopy's home ice, not knowing about the museum next-door. That was a bonus. I decided to have lunch here, and it was very good. I love all the peanuts decorations around The walls. There were a good number of tables, but the day I was there, I was lucky to get the last one. One table, nobody sits at. That was the table that Charles. Schulz would always sit at when he came into the café. It's there in his memory, It is decked out with peanuts memorabilia. I decided to have the "Good Grief! grilled cheese", with a cup of tomato soup. It was a full sandwich, and very decent sized. The bread was toasted just right, and there was plenty of cheese that tasted very good. The tomato soup was amazing, it was rich and seasoned well, and it even had some cheese in it. We stopped by the Warm Puppy Cafe after visiting the Charles Schultz museum next door. After walking around I was craving a nice hot chocolate and it was so cute that they had a bunch of different options inspired by characters. I ended up ordering the Peppermint Patty ($4.50). It was a perfect minty hot chocolate, nothing crazy but for the price it was just what I wanted. They did offer some snacks and bites too, but it looked like there were more menu items that weren't available all day. They also had a little food vending machine that had items ready to go. The staff was friendly and there was ample seating available as well. They also offered some cute promotional items and all the cups were Peanuts themed as well. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was moderately busy. The interior is cute with peanuts references and has an old school look. It is located right next to the ice rink. The menu had a limited offering and I was hoping for more unique options but consisted of standard sandwiches and a nice selection of hot chocolate tho. I got the tuna sandwich with the clam chowder and despite the simple menu I really enjoyed the food. The sandwich and clam chowder were very delicious! Overall I had a good experience and our service was great as well. read more
Super cute place adjacent to the Schultz Museum. Great for a quick bite or light lunch and bonus to watch skaters on the ice! The hubster and I snacked on a chocolate chip cookie and a Coke, as we were meeting friends elsewhere for lunch. Both were delightful. The staff was friendly. Plenty of tables to sit at a fireplace to warm yourself by, and very clean. My only regret is not purchasing a mug or dog bowl, I guess this means another visit! read more
