Loved my stop on a rainy day in this new location. The space is beautiful, they have a few small tables and a bar area to sit in with yummy treats, teas and coffees. Their treats include a couple gluten free baked goods too! Be sure to check out their seasonal menu.

Very disappointing Tuesday night burger dinner. Given the high quality of their ingredients, meats…read moreetc for purchase and great results with Reid's catering, it obviously doesn't translate to the food and presentation in the restaurant. Almost nothing was done in the style of a restaurant where a manager or employee would be overseeing plates coming from the kitchen to be served. We each ordered same burger- medium with crisp bacon. Each was well done with limp bacon. Burgers were overly salted. One plate, as in photo, had an end tomato slice that shouldn't have been served to a customer. Our server did bring up a slice of pie to help make up for dinner. That was nice.

As a foodie transplant from the West Coast, walking into Reid's immediately reminded me of a…read morebeloved high-end grocer back home--something along the lines of Draeger's: beautifully curated, family-owned, and designed to feel like a destination rather than just a place to shop. There's a real sense of history here. From what I understand, Reid's is one of the oldest grocers in Charlotte, and that legacy shows in the details. The rich green tile, classic signage, and thoughtfully designed layout create an elevated, almost European-style market experience. It feels polished, intentional, and welcoming all at once. What stands out: * The store is beautifully merchandised and carefully curated with specialty and seasonal items you don't always find elsewhere. * The wine bar and café concept make this more than a grocery stop--it's a place to linger. I've enjoyed flights, tastings, and brunch on the patio, and each visit has felt like a small occasion. * Location-wise, it really depends on which store you're visiting. The SouthPark and Myers Park locations have easy, convenient parking, and there's also a newer location in Ballantyne (near Pineville). The Uptown locations, while not necessarily "easy parking," are incredibly walkable--perfect if you live, work, or have meetings nearby. If you're already Uptown, this is a fantastic stop to pick up elevated items for a beautiful dinner--think wine, specialty cheeses, or even something indulgent like caviar to round things out. One thing I appreciate is that Reid's doesn't try to be everything to everyone. It's not an organic-focused market like Whole Foods, and that's okay--it serves a different purpose. The clientele here tends to be people looking for specialty ingredients, elevated prepared foods, and a more curated shopping experience. Many shoppers probably visit both stores depending on their needs, and I find myself doing the same. When Reid's really shines: During the holidays and special seasons. Their selection of unique, festive, and hard-to-find items makes it a go-to for entertaining or finding something a little extra special. Overall, Reid's feels like a true Charlotte institution--elegant, distinctive, and consistently well executed. It's the kind of place that makes grocery shopping feel enjoyable again, and I'm looking forward to continuing to explore more of what they offer as I keep eating my way through Charlotte. Bottom line: A beautifully curated local market with history, charm, and a destination-worthy wine bar--perfect for specialty shopping, brunch, and seasonal finds.

The restaurant is beautiful, it feels like a tropical location. It's definitely small compared to the traffic that comes in, but they do a great job of getting through the line and getting food out quickly. I had the Sakura as it came highly recommended, and my boyfriend had the Chicharron. Both were extremely tasty and unique! I've never had a sandwich quite like this. The bread is what really sends these sandwiches over the edge. My sandwich had fresh tuna and delicious sauces/toppings. Pro tip: the salsa verde is a must! It's served down by the water and is the best I've ever had. I'd love to come back and try other options. I think the prices are comparable for the fresh ingredients and the area. You'll spend about $35 for two sandwiches, so to some this may be a deterrent. Parking was easy for us, and they do validate parking for a certain garage. I highly recommend checking out this spot!

Only a couple of each. They have a cauliflower wrap instead of bread for sandwiches but I was skeptical and did not order. The sandwiches look absolutely incredible. My bowl was fantastic. Since you pretty much do everything yourself, service was just routine. They heat up most sandwiches and we enjoyed a couple of chicken-based sandwiches that were very nice. We also had a PB&J that sort of suffered being heated up ... don't think we'd do that one again. There is free parking for 90 minutes in a little attached multi-story garage, so everything was easy-peasy getting in. All in all very nice, and we would return.

I made an order online for Original Italian Sandwich ($10.09 prior to tax) and had selected the time to be picked up at 6:15 pm this past Friday night. I had my sandwich made on a multigrain bread and added roasted red peppers and artichoke hearts (for free, how awesome is that?) to the sandwich. The size of this sandwich is definitely enough to feed two people. This sandwich was quite loaded and definitely a little messy to eat but it was very delicious. My mom really enjoyed this sandwich (I let her have a bite and asked if she could eat the other half, lol. She really loves sandwiches too). When I entered the store, I was immediately greeted by a friendly employee and also someone I suspect to be the manager. I was helped right away and was happy to find that my sandwich was ready for me when I came in (unlike my experience at the Uptown location). I was also thanked for coming in and wished for a great day when I left. This location is bigger than the Uptown location and the parking situation is much easier too. If I lived here, I would definitely be a regular.
