We went in on a Sunday, had a reservation we probably didn't need as most of the restaurant was empty. The wait staff were very friendly but not very attentive. My husband got the meatloaf- super tasty, definitely the best item we had to eat here!

Split every dish with my date and the friendly staff brought it out course style. Every flavor was eye widening and the most memorable dish was the mixed berry delight dessert. I always pick chocolate desserts over others, but this choice will be one of my life favorites. Very romantic environment. So glad our airbnb recommended this gem.

Newly renovated restaurant on the second floor. Nice seating area. Food is great. Service is excellent.

$19 Heirloom Tomato Caprese with HALF burrata LOL
Alana N.

We should have known this place is a joke after seeing the Heirloom Tomato Caprese. For $19 we got HALF of a tiny burrata. And then come artisan bread and butter with non toasted bread. Then come dried up flavorless pork tenderloin and salty meatloaf. We couldn't get out of there fast enough after the meal. Old World Chophouse, which is a block away is farrrr better with similar price point. Never again

Not at all bad for a Leavenworth establishment. Great service (except for not moving us to another empty table upon our request) and great food. We ordered; Pork tenderloin; $41 Wild sockeye salmon; $41 Meatloaf; $41 Salmon bruschetta; $18 Daily soup - pork stew; $12 Coconut mussels; $25 Floor less chocolate cake a La mode; $13 and Berry cobbler a La mode. $13 Every single item was delish and the only point of improvement is for the pork stew to have actual pork pieces. My daughter kept fishing for more pork and complained that it was primarily veggies/celery. With drinks (Italian soda for the kiddos and a couple of glasses), the total bill was $330. .

Wonderful option for upscale dining in Leavenworth! We made reservations in advance to sit outside and had a lovely view of Post Hotel and the river. They have great drinks and a small, seasonal menu with fresh options on it. I am gluten free and found that there were a lot of great options for me. I ended up getting the sweet potato and was able to sub butter for olive oil. The food was flavorful and unique, lots of interesting flavors and textures. My boyfriend got the meatloaf and found it to be rich and flavorful as well. This place is a bit more expensive than other spots in Leavenworth, but is a wonderful option for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or experience some higher end eating.

Before you leave this planet your life is not complete until you get a slab of Million Dollar Meatloaf from the Watershed in Leavenworth, WA. We decided to kick out the stops for a nice dining experience on a Sunday evening. The Watershed came recommended by friends so we jumped. The building is on a side street by the Post Hotel. It's brick construction with hardwood floors and dim lighting. The seating is tables with no booths but one wall is bench style with pillows to cushion your back. They specialize in farm to table items so the menu can change periodically. I think a few entrees are staples and don't change. Everything is as fresh as it can be. I chose the Million Dollar Meatloaf and Mrs Billy D had a bacon wrapped chicken breast which looked straight out of a cuisine magazine. All I heard out of her were yummy noises. We began with cocktails. I am not a drinker but I thought I would try the ultimate adult drink. The Old Fashioned. It was heavenly and I am not a whiskey drinker. The flavors were very good. There was some kind of spice in it. I can't say if all Old Fashioned's are like that though. Our server was very good. I can tell she is a professional. Okay... the meatloaf was dense and usually comes with whipped potatoes and you know from my reviews I think whipped and mashed potatoes are reprehensible in every way. They gave me some roasted zucchini and asparagus instead. They put the morel mushroom gravy on the vegetables (whipped potatoes, if you aren't me) then the slab of meatloaf on top. The whole thing is very good and flavorful. This is a rich dish so be prepared to put in some work if you get it. I've never paid $41 for meatloaf but I knew that going in so there was no ahh sh*t moment. We got out of there for about $136 minus the tip for two entrees, two cocktails, and an appetizer. Do not hesitate to hit up Watershed when visiting Leavenworth.

Food and service were great. I give it 4 stars only because the kitchen ventilation is not good. After dinner we noticed our clothes carried a strong food odor that didn't go away even after airing out our jackets overnight. Take note if you plan on visiting, don't wear expensive clothing or jackets

Next time you're in Leavenworth, make sure to book a table at the incredible Watershed restaurant. Super close to the Post Hotel and just off the main drag, you'll be treated to a wonderful menu full of Pacific NW cuisine. Service is on point and prices are reasonable. The poached pear salad, Caprese salad and meatloaf were all outstanding! Looking forward to dining here again soon!

After reading the great reviews I convinced the husband we had to try this place out. We managed to get in a little later than the usual dinner hour as they had a pretty long waiting list every night for dinner. When we arrived, their small dining area was still full but they served us at a rustic wooden bistro height table in the bar area. The atmosphere is beautiful with intimate lighting, brick walls, and natural wood decor. I loved the centerpiece of the long table we were at with the natural river rocks. Our server was friendly and helped to point out what gluten free items I could have on their menu. The menu is pretty limited so gf items were also sparse. I ordered the pear and arugula salad with candied pecans which was light and fresh. For my main I had their seasonal fish entree with cubed sweet potato. It was pretty good and plated beautifully, though the husband and I both agreed it needed a bit more seasoning. It was an all around pretty good little meal that we had and we really appreciated them squeezing us in so we could sample some of their tasty menu options. We look forward to returning for future nomming on our next Leavenworth adventure.

Ask the Community - Watershed Cafe

Is there a kids menu or has anybody taken young children there?

No kid's menu but don't see why kids would be an issue

Is there outdoor seating for Summer 2021?

Yes

Is this a good venue for a rehearsal dinner for 40-45 people? If so, what is the price range for entrees? I do not see any prices on the website on their sample menu.

Yes it could be. You'd probably want to rent out the whole restaurant-- it doesn't seat many more than 40-45. Entrees are $35-40.

Are they open?

Closed til January 7th

It is so lovely and secluded back there, I love it! Their drinks are to die for. I got the basil daisy and loved it, then moved onto the paloma which was great. They have fun glassware and a great bartender. I got the shrimp taco bowl last time I went and it was great! Came with chips too. Another time I got the bean enchiladas, which were pretty simple and seemed like they could be on the kids menu, but I honestly really liked them (fried cheese yum). I remember back in the day (could have been previous owners) where the chips and salsas were free, so bummer that it is a paid add on now- unless you get the salad. I found the service to be kind of slow and inattentive, but the servers were nice. It seems like a bunch of kids home for the summer working, so expectations weren't crazy high to begin with. They definitely came when we waved them over, so I guess that is all that matters.

We were here on an off season time so I would highly recommend reservations. The menu is small which I love because I don't have to many items competing with each other to order. I decided to order a board as an appetizer with 2 meats, 2 cheeses, and a side. Huge happy dance with this one, the honey ricotta was amazing, deviled eggs huge smiles, burrata was perfect, salami and prosciutto beautiful. On this day they had two specials butternut squash ravioli and a sea bass. We chose the ravioli with added chicken, it had a good taste however did not compete with the other dishes (still did a happy dance with each bite). There is a kids menu, we had the fettuccine with chicken, good side for kids. They also have shrimp or just cheese fettuccine, pizza, and lasagna. Our main courses we had the eggplant parm, perfectly cooked with a side caprese salad. Mushroom and chicken fettuccine amazing flavors and a good portion. For desert we had the apple bread pudding, to die for, a cookie pie and chocolate mouse type dessert (I forgot their names), all very good. We got seated at a table near the window, so we were able to get a good view of the lights outside. Our waitress was very nice and gave us the run down on the specials. We wish the bread and olive oil was complementary, but thats okay. We got a ceaser salad to share and then my husband got the rabbit ragu and I got the Bolognese con tagliatelle because I was sharing it with my daughter. Our waitress asked if we wanted pepper on our salad and we said yes, but she never came with it. We did get it on our pasta though! My dish was good, but wished I would have gotten my original dish I wanted, however waitress said it might have been too spicy for my kid. One funny thing that happened was another waiter accidentally brought another tables food to our table. He put a spaghetti in front of my daughter and when we said it was the wrong table, our daughter was so mad. To make up for it, the waiter had sent over some gelato for her! I thought that was a sweet gesture. Great italian food and lots of good drink options. We would definitely eat here again.

We had a large group of folks so a good variety of sausages were ordered. The kids ordered the curry wurst and seemed to like it for the most part. For those that ordered the bratwurst we had a tough time eating cause the shell seemed to be incredible thick and hard to bite. Taste overall was okay, a bit on the salty side but not horrible. Just really hard to physically chew is where I struggled with. Also ordered the soup which was very broth and simple. Since there was potatoes I was thinking it would be a bit thicker but it hit the spot nonetheless. Overall impression, not a bad place with a nice place to take a rest. There are tastier places near by but I do enjoy the thought of supporting something more local. Just with the food wasn't so tough to consume.

Quick heads-up before you go: the restaurant is upstairs and does not have an elevator, so it may not be ideal for anyone using a mobility chair or who has difficulty with stairs. Once we arrived, we were seated immediately and jumped right into the menu. We both ordered the House Margaritas, and wow oh so good. Smooth, refreshing, and just what we needed to kick off the meal. For food, I ordered the Carne Asada, which came with your choice of flour or corn tortillas, rice, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, and a beautifully grilled skirt steak. Everything on the plate was delicious. The steak was well seasoned, tender, and easy to cut, while the pico de gallo and guacamole tasted incredibly fresh. Wrapping everything up in a warm flour tortilla created the perfect bite. It was simple, flavorful, and so satisfying. My cousin went with the Enchiladas Rojas with ground beef, and she rated it a 5 out of 5. Outstanding! High praise, and judging by how quickly her plate disappeared, I believe it. This definitely topped off the meal and left us stuffed but very happy. Would I recommend Los Camperos? 100% absolutely.
