Don't judge a book by its cover. Almost passed this one, but so glad we didn't. This was the best broiled cod "fish fry" I've had in a long time. Hand-cut fries were awesome, nice and salty, good mix of crispy and soft. Coleslaw was tasty. Service a bit slow when it was busy, but got better as it cleared out a bit. We came to the bar and grill in February on a Sunday. However with no crowd we had great service and the wings where AMAZING!!! My boyfriend and I recently moved back to the area (we both grew up here) and were not looking forward to the bar scene here. We were pleasantly surprised by The Watershed Saloon. It's not a townie bar but not quite a Chicago hangout either, which can be difficult to find here. It's a country bar that's classy, not cheesy. It has a nice mix of people clientele wise. I also love the bartenders. They're really fun, very attentive and Veronica makes a great whiskey old fashioned sweet! We haven't been able to try the food yet but I've seen other people's orders and it looks delicious! Overall, it's an awesome bar and I suggest you try it out. It's my favorite bar around! read more

First visit, food very good, waitress Morgan great. Pretty busy Friday @ around 5:15. Morgan had many tables & handled them all with ease. She was friendly & professional, checking on us many times. Based on reviews on Yelp, we stopped here for dinner on our way home after a day of golfing at the Delbrook Golf Club. Absolutely awesome food & place. 3 of the 4 of us had the salmon vesuvio with potato pancakes, & the other had the hot burger. The food was amazing, & very affordable. This was a lovely find! I've been visiting Delavan for 20 years now and just haven't found a place worth driving to (as opposed to cooking/drinking good wine and cocktails at home) but _this_ is that place. We didn't try their wine or cocktails, but we did appreciate their nice selection of beers, the friendly and prompt service and good food (best fries in the area!). The atmosphere was clean and inviting - Rick, et al- you've done a GREAT job building this place from the studs up (especially the handcrafted bar and stonework!). There is limited outside seating (with a view of the baseball diamonds- kind of fun to watch a game). No lake access or view but a place worth driving to to check out. We had the pleasure of meeting Rick (co-owner) and really appreciated his genuine interest in our experience here as well as his friendliness. What wasn't clear from other reviews was that Danny Boyz BBQ is a contractor that runs the kitchen- we were told all BBQ is made onsite (Wednesdays are supposed to be the best day for brisket). read more

Went to Watershed last night for fish, it was EXCELLENT!! The fish was flaky and HOT, the potato pancakes were crispy and browned to perfection, coleslaw excellent, I also had a dinner salad with the best ranch dressing the salad was crispy and fresh. This place is goooooood! We were staying at The Abbey and did a Yelp search for a decent restaurant. This place had rave reviews so we decided to give it a shot. We almost passed by it. It's very unassuming from the outside, but the inside is nicely decorated and super clean. We had the giant pretzel. It lives up to it's name. They brought it out on a small pizza tray. Get the honey mustard with it. You're welcome. I had the Merkts Burger which was very tasteful and super juicy. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We will be back next year! read more

Went in for dinner. There were 3 empty tables. Manager came up to us and said you can't sit at any of those tables. One was two tables put together and she said that was reserved for a big party. The other small table was also reserved. She told us if we wanted to stay we had to sit at the bar. So we did. About 15 minutes later some people walked in and split the large table in two and sat down. Then another couple took the other table. What happened to the large party??? And I called later to ask if I could make a dinner reservation. I was told they don't take reservations. On one positive note the Bartenders were very nice. Food was below average, no flavor. My wife and I took her cousin here to celebrate her 21st birthday. I work in the area and have heard some really great thing about their bbq. Because it was Friday night we decided to check out what their fish fry had to offer. When we got our trays of food I was optimistic until I got to handle the food. The code fellets were very thin, I would estimate the be the same width as a sharpie marker....most of it being fried breading. The fish was just okay at best. it was pretty firm and i needed to use a knife on most of it. I got fries with the meal because I'm not a fan of pancake potatos. the fries were typical run of the mill bar fries. because they are attached with Danny Boys bbq I was expecting a bit more from them. The staff seemed to be adequately trained and kept up with our drink orders. My wife and cousin were very happy with their pours and prompt service. I'm not gonna be back for a fish fry but I'm willing to return to try so.e of the bbq that others are raving about. read more

We moved to Delavan July 2019. Tried this place because it was close to our house. For the first couple of times, it was so-so. Weak drinks that are way overpriced, ok food. To add to it, if you're not a regular, or one of the bartender's friends or boyfriend, expect to sit there for a while before being served. It went downhill from there. So we decided to patronize other bar and grills in the area, and they blew this place away. A few months later, thinking we'd give it another try, were just as disappointed. Watched the bartender pour less than a shot of vodka in a pint glass for a mixed drink for us. Only to watch her pour well over 2 shots in her friends mixed drink. These people also own Rustic Inn on the other side of the lake. At least there you get a decent drink, and the staff is WAY more friendly and accommodating. Sad. Because I dotn frequent that bar as often as I might like, simply because Watershed is so disappointing. read more

Good locals type bar. Classy design, nicely decorated, clean, modern, well lit. Bartender was very friendly and good service. I had a hangover burger (complete with fried egg) and it was quite good. They're also very good size, and a very filling. Cocktails were a good pour and reasonably priced. I had a burger and a couple Jack/Cokes and was out for about $20 before tip. Last winter my husband and I came here every Friday for about three months. The fish fry is so good! Each time we stopped in the bartenders acted as though they had never saw us before. Now, I could possibly understand in the summer months but the winter? We eat the same thing and drink the same thing every week. The service- probably one of the worst experiences I've had. They usually have two bartenders that not only cover the bar area but the tables around the bar. That doesn't work well. You could possibly wait forever to place your order. The service got so bad that we had to just quit going here. We would leave so irritated. After about six months we decided to give it a try again. The bartenders have blinders on. My husband placed his empty beer bottle by the ledge to get a new one and the bartender never looked our way. She stopped to clean a glass and nearly bumped her forehead onto the top of the bottle. "Oh!! Do you need another beer?" She asks . We waited 70 minutes for our food! How about the time we went on a Thursday for two for one burgers. The deal is that you have to order a drink in order to get the deal. Ok, I arrived before my husband and ordered our dinner and a drink for me. My husband arrived about 5 minutes later. He waited for 35 minutes and not once did a bartender stop and ask him if he wanted a drink. Our food arrived and he finally just asked for a pop. We were told we had to order alcohol in order to get the two for one! Well, where the hell have you been the last 35 minutes???? Your service SUCKS!!!!!!!!!! read more

The Watershed Saloon is a spacious, yet cozy bar. I felt very welcomed when I first entered there. The staff was very fast got my drink immediately, and they were very fun to talk to. I loved the decor it felt like the nicest bar I've been to in Delavan, WI. It may not be the easiest to find, but it is definitely the bar to look for. After visiting their a few times I can honestly say I've never had bad service, and I have enjoyed the food. I try to try something new every visit, so far nothing has let me down. Prices are cheap I love their happy hour specials. I can honestly say this is the best bar I've visited in Delavan WI. I hope everyone tries it out. read more

I have finally found my favorite restaurant in Delavan. We have been to the Watershed several times over the last couple of months and it has yet to disappoint. Their burgers are the best in the area, in my opinion. Their fish fry is absolutely top notch. We have had their giant pretzel a couple of times and it's the bomb. My girlfriend tried their homemade breaded chicken sandwich and absolutely loved it!! My friends wife had the apple gouda grill cheese and thought it was amazing. We also loved their apps. My only suggestion would be that I didn't see any desserts on the menu. Just a warning that this place can get busy on Friday and Saturday night-for good reason. This is a must try if you are in the area. It's a very nice bar/restaurant with a friendly staff. read more

We have been coming up to Delavan (Delavan Lake Resort) for years, but had never tried Watershed Saloon (open for three years), even though it is also on South Shore Drive. We came in for the Friday fish fry, and it was excellent. Our party of four tried both the fried (all-you-can eat) and broiled fish, french fries, potato pancakes, and the key-lime pie. Outstanding meal, and priced right. We will be back soon to try the wings and burgers. Staff was very attentive, and the owner came over as well to speak with us. read more
