1st of all.. the guy that worked there just stared at me and didn't greet me. The chick gave a greeting but I barely heard her. Then I ordered my food (veggie burger) and that same dude THREW my frozen pattie into the frier. I literally had to tell this fool to make my food with love and not throw my shit. Awesome burgers! Hit the spot. I got the double bacon cheeseburger, fries and the pumpkin pie shake. The meat was cooked through, not greasy, and the bread was super soft. The shake was a great compliment. My wife got the same burger but she got the "lettuce wrap" (meaning no bread). Order for a pickup, it said it would be read in 20 minutes. So I go in 30 minutes after I order and about 5 minutes of being there I tell them I'm there for a pick up and they are barely putting the food o. The grill. I didn't mind the wait too much but when they told me the food was ready, I asked about one of my orders and they didn't even make it yet. Get back to the hotel and turns out my kids milkshakes are warm and runny, their grill cheese was not melted at all. This review is for the service here, the food is good but the service is terrible. I came on a Sunday afternoon and we ordered burgers and milk shakes, we got our shakes after the food was done. They will need to hire more help if they want repeat customers, this is the second time that this has happened to me. Always seen this place while passing through 880. Decided to try it out last weekend for a late lunch. Its an ordinary place, very quiet. It was not busy at all when I walked in. I ordered a grilled chicken burger. I waited for almost 15 mins to get it served. To be honest, one of the worst burgers I have ever had. Its a piece of half cooked chicken with lettuce and tomato on the a bun. It has got a disgusting taste too as there was too much ketchup and mustard on it. I was excited to return here after a good steak sandwich last Saturday. Tonight it was like eating a bread sandwich. Hardly any meat at all and I bought two sandwiches before discovering the empty sandwich. So disappointing. When I pointed it out to the cashier he shrugged his shoulders and gave me a thumbs up. We went to Wayback Burgers with the particular urge to try their Mac and Cheese Bites, excited to try something that we don't usually see at other fast food restaurants around here. The place is barren. Like apocalyptic barren. I can't blame them for that, they're right next to the freeway and they're sort of isolated. We walk in to order and we also order O-Fries, which is just onion rings and fries on one plate. Keep in mind there's no wifi, which is fine because they usually don't house wifi at fast food restaurants. But when I went up to ask, the worker was literally flipping a water bottle on the counter... PLEASEEEEEEE. The food came out and the Mac and Cheese bites looked like chicken nuggets, but the breading looked PROMISING. HOWEVER, I was met with the everlasting disappointment when I bit into it, because I SWEAR TO GOD!! Halal meat is served here. The owner is a known Muslim. I tried the Double Bacon (Halal Beef Bacon) Burger, Chicken Strips and a Chocolate Milkshake. The burger was pretty good, as it's a double-patty like all their burgers. But the "bacon" was not properly fried or crispy. It was halal beef bacon, which is fine, but it was not fried properly as bacon should be. The fries were good and the Milkshake was the real deal. Very large and thick! The chicken strips were good too. Will come back here again for sure to try their many other burgers. read more

All your Halal Foodies.. this place does not say halal inside the establisment , nor does harris ranch supply them the ground meat.. be very careful and make sure you ask the owner and then check with that supplier if he is indeed halal.. the buns and cheese also need to be checked. I've called Harris Ranch and they don't supply any ground beef to this place. I had the Ghostbusters burger with only one patty, mac and cheese bites, and original chips with a side of ghost sauce. First bite into my burger and my mouth was on fire! The burger wasn't thick and juicy but it was good. They have lots of fried options - fries, cheese fries, chili fries, chips, onion rings and quite a few burger concoctions or you can make your own. One fine evening I had craving for a good burger for dinner, but did not want to drive to Sunnyvale to visit St. John's, and In-n-Out just doesn't have good fries unless you gunk them up animal style. So I Yelped up Wayback Burgers, and was surprised to find it close to home. I hadn't seen this place before, tucked in as it is by the Dixon Landing exit from 880. You have to look for it to find it next to Starbucks and behind the gas station. Service was slow and the kid working the counter took my shake to some other customer. When he brought out my burger and fries, he picked up the shake from that other customer and brought it to me. Minus 2 stars for that, pal. The burger was tasty, although my wife's burger patty was about the size of a half-dollar. So, lose another star for delivering a kiddie burger when we ordered adult meals. - 2 stars. The fries were good, but not good enough to add back a star to this review. In one fell swoop, careless counter work has kissed off another customer. Now when I get a hankering for a burger in Milpitas, I'll have to remember that Red Robin is over at the mall. read more

Other than that, nothing to make me want to come back. We also got the Irish nachoes which were awful. Went there last week for the first time at lunch, there were around 6 people in line but the line didn't move an inch for 20 mins. So, we ended up leaving the place without ordering due to shortage of time. Today i ordered over the phone; they gave me 12:30 pick up time. but when I went there my food wasn't ready and they ended up handing me the food at 1:00 (Which I understand because they were busy ). so i brought my food back to my office, which I paid $8 for, the burger had smell in the meat. I don't know if it wasn't cooked properly or what. So I ended up throwing it all away and finish my lunch with fries. Other burgers that I had ordered for my colleagues at work were all soggy. We made it there opening night. The place was nice, bright and clean. Even though the place was full, the service was fast, they delivered the food to your table by calling out your name. Impressive service considering it was opening night. The beef patties are really good. You can taste the fresh beef. What a difference that makes! I ordered the Philly, my only complaint is that there wasn't much of the grilled onions and mushrooms -- I hardly tasted any, and that was disappointing. So the burger felt "empty" despite the double-patties. I like my burger bursting with goodness on top of the patty, and I didn't get that experience. I would go with something that has the usual trimmings: lettuce, tomato, onions. The fries were fresh and crispy and not oily or too salty. The onion rings were nice and crispy. I didn't realize I could have asked for a dipping sauce: the guy who takes orders could have/ should have asked. The best was the piña colada milkshake of the month -- don't miss it! You can taste the fresh pineapple pieces. In summary: great beef patties, however the burger construction needs work. Give me more sauce and toppings please! That would take it to 5 stars. Nice friendly atmosphere, will come again but will ask for an overload of toppings instead of the double-patties. read more

Just tried to order a company order of about 10 entrees from this place this morning through Wayback and GrubHub. When the order was supposed to have been delivered, it was cancelled. Called GrubHub to see what happened and they informed me that Wayback never "confirmed" our order so they had to cancel it. That's completely understandable and not GrubHub's fault. I sent the order in at 11:10 and Wayback opens at 10:30 so they should have been able to see it. I was warned that Wayback has had issues in the past with their delivery in that sometimes they will take payment and forget to deliver or that delivery is late or they cancel orders without a heads up but I wanted to give a local place a chance. Visited this place very very very impressed. I ordered 2 burgers ; the bacon double cheese burger (as recommended by staff), and the rodeo burger ( cheese, 2 beef patties, onion rings, and bbq sauce). The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and smiles all around. Very pleasant experience, and sense of ownership as management individually came and talked to every client there to ask for feedback and ask how their food was. Clean and open layout of restaurant. And now the food.... Food was delicious. For a fast food restaurant I never would have expected such high quality in the food. Both burgers were cooked fast and right infront of me. Steamed fluffy bun, fresh vegetables in sandwich ( lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes). But the best part, was the meat. The burger patty was clearly a patty that had been hand made, fresh, and never frozen. Really juicy natural flavor without being overcooked. The natural juices of the patty adds a new flavor profile to the bread. If you are a meat lover, you will be thoroughly impressed with this place. Definitely will be back here again. read more

I didn't get what I ordered which was advertised as a burger with pickles, lettuce, and bacon. I ended up getting two patties smothered in cheese with no other fixings or condiments. Just two thin patties between some buns. The onion rings were soggy and your house made "gold" sauce tastes wayyy too mustardy. Next time make sure the customer gets what's advertised. read more
