This is our second try at hiring a pest control company. The first visit went ok. The pest control person was just mediocre with his knowledge and was in and out in 6 minutes. The next month We Do Creepy or Home Guard Pest sent Richard Lamb. Straightforward/no-nonsense personality but boy did he know his stuff. He changed the mice box in the backyard as he didn't think the original was sufficient. He also asked if we could leave the home for one hour after he sprayed as my folks are both in their late 80's. We didn't have to leave the first time and could not leave this time as we had no notice but I did appreciate his concern. He knocked down a wasp's nest and educated me on that process also. We've been using them for a little over a year and have been super happy. No major issues. The quarterly visits help and the very few times we've found a new bug (most recently a silverfish) they are quick to send someone out (almost always within 24 hours). Nash has been the person they send to our house and he's great! Our dogs now know him, he handles everything quickly and always educates us on what causes different bugs to come in and how we can help prevent them as well :). Hi Riley, We looked up the info. on the State of CA Dept. of Pesticide Regulation - Structural Pest Control Board and it states: Door-to-door sales of pest control services by unlicensed individuals are not permissible. Any individuals going door-to-door may only leave flyers or set up appointments. Every licensee is issued a license. Tyler has contracts for us to sign, therefore he is doing door-to-door sales and I called and verified at your office if this info. is true. I do see the names of the technicians on the license list, however - tyler's name is not and he is selling us the service. read more

Rep came to our new home and pitched us $20 for first service. Thought it was a great deal so I said yes. The technician came out that same Friday and sprayed the outside of the house. We declined the inside as we had just moved and things were still everywhere in boxes. Overall happy with the service. Would recommend. read more

I signed up with Home Guard for a year. The first two visits, the performed work as promised, but after that their work was terrible. Within hours I still found numerous spiders webs around my house, the original sales guy who knocked on my door promised Home Guard remove webs from my garden furniture which never happended. I called and complained, asked for a refund. The girl I spoke to said she would speak to her manager; guess what never heard from them again. Time to find a new bug company.... read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. A gentleman came to my door selling their services. I did have some ants so I listen to what he had to say. He assured me that it was 3 months and after that I could cancel. So agreed and went forward with it. Long story short it ended up being a year contract not 3 months as promised. They came and performed the service once and showed up again with out calling. They left a note on my door stating my gate was locked and they couldn't do the services. I called the office and explained I no longer wanted to continue. The lady was rude and kept say you signed the contract. I ended up having to pay $300 for early termination and unpaid services that were never performed. Beware of this business. read more

This company DO creepy. They ARE CREEPY. Their method for selling the service is by harassing potential customers and questioning their decisions. The salesperson will keep knocking on your door until either you sign their contract or they get angry and walk away. They do not take NO as an answer and would say anything, including putting down anyone, to make you buy in. I understand when you deal with pests you don't learn to be respectful. Yet it would be better to learn some basic social skills when interacting with humans. read more

Reliable, knowledgeable, accommodating and effective. We contracted with Home Guard Pest Control (HGPC) about 1 year ago for our newly constructed home. We had a mouse problem. The mice were getting into the garage and had chewed through wires on our tankless-hotwater system and also were able to get into interior cabinets along one exterior wall. Luckily, our cat alerted us by standing guard by the cabinet doors and they did not get further into the house! It was really creepy. We needed professional help so we called HGPC and got a live person (not just an answering service) who was very helpful. HGPC came out almost immediately. Our technician, John F. listened to our concerns and then did a meticulous job of checking for areas of entry. He explained the exclusion process, showed us areas where the mice were most likely getting in and what to do about it. (side note: We also contacted our builder and they sealed areas in the exterior wall and had our tankless hot water wires repaired.) As the weather warmed up, new bugs started appearing. HGPC came out any time we called between scheduled service dates. We had a problem with snails and they took care of that too. We are very happy that the experienced technicians like JOHN and BENNY take their time and really do their job excellently. For example, they use dusters with a telescoping handle to reach up high in our court yard and covered patios to remove spider webs, they also wipe down our patio furniture. In our minds, this is what sets HGPC apart from the other companies. Highly recommend HGPC! read more

I rarely write reviews - but We Do Creepy (PAUL) was so great that I needed to do it this time. We had a creepy bug issue....and Paul came out at the scheduled time and treated the problem. Super nice guy and very knowledgeable and he calmly explained what was happening. He gave me his cell phone number and also told me I would get a call from the office for a follow-up. I got that call and Paul came back out - sending me a text when he was on his way. Well - the creepers really like my house - so Paul treated again (no additional cost). Same process - another appointment....another follow-up visit. There was a drastic decrease in the creepers - but I did see a couple - so, Paul came out and sprayed again (no additional cost). Paul has been to my house 4 times now...and we have "monitoring traps". If I see anything - I can call the office and he will be right back out to help. Great service! Company had someone come out same day to look for potential bed bugs at our home. The technician Israel arrived at time promised and was courteous and thorough. He meticulously checked our bedroom for any pests and was knowledgeable by explaining pest behavior.
