Decent spot for a bite to eat. Is it going to be the most amazing meal of your life, nah. But it's good food, service, and ambiance. Ordered the steak and fries meal and a crock of French onion soup. The soup was nothing to write home about but also not offensive in anyway. Steak was char-grilled and very flavorful. I wish they had some kind of sauce to go with it but not terrible otherwise. Granted, they were full and weren't taking anymore customers, but they told us that we could sit at the bar if we wanted to. Which of course, we did! It's very cozy. I really appreciated the the beautiful wooden bar and the warmth that it brought. I also thought it was awesome that they had hooks underneath the bar to hang your purse ! So often we have to hang our bags on the side of the chair or find a safe-ish place . I'm sad to say I don't remember our servers name, but he was absolutely wonderful! He ran that bar like a well oiled machine! The bestie and I both ordered the New York strip with mashed potatoes . I ordered a side of sautéed spinach with mine as well. My first drink was the Watermelon Mint Spritz and it yes, it was as delicious as it sounds! It tastes like an adult watermelon jolly rancher in the very best way. I don't do sugary sweet drinks very well and this was perfectly balanced! It's made with watermelon and mint infused vodka, Peychaud's Aperitivo, lemon juice, sugar and Prosecco.. soooo good! BUT I ordered a lemon drop and I had it made it with tequila instead of vodka ...insert melting face here! This was the absolute best drink I've ever had! I mean that 100%! I'm going to have dreams about it how well made and perfect this drink was. I want one everyday lol! It was the highlight of my entire day I stg. The other bartender also gave us tequila shots on the house to celebrate the new year . All in all it was such a good time! We sat for about two hours and just enjoyed the evening and the people around us were a vibe and we chatted with them as well. I will definitely go back just for the drink alone . I love this place, so I brought my chef friend and her husband there for an early dinner. The staff was nice and gave decent recommendations for appetizers and such. The wings and brussel sprouts were absolutely delicious. My friends enjoyed their meals as well and everything went well up until we got into the main course. My beer can chicken was not quite right. The breast was fine, but the thigh and drumstick were literally half cooked.and when I mentioned it to my server, he brought the chef over. He asked what was the problem, and instead of speaking, I cut the chicken and pressed it. Instead of an apology, rationale, or anything resembling responsibility, the incredibly arrogant "chef" attempted to tell me the blood running from it was marinade. Sir. I COOK and I sitting at the table with an actual CHEF! I kindly ended my meal early and the server was apologetic, getting a manager to take care of the bill. Came for happy hour with my boyfriend as the restaurant was connected to our hotel. I had the Tito's and he had Bourbon both drinks for $7. We also had the Soft Pretzels with cheese for $5 and they were super good! Friendly staff and fast service. The only thing my boyfriend mentioned that he thought was odd that in order to do the happy hour you have to go to the bar and couldn't order it while at a table he's also not a fan of the thin paper straws. Waiter was very awkward and atmosphere/crowd is on par with the worst I've seen in "upscale" River North (18% mandatory gratuity crowd). Unfortunately I ordered the regular cheeseburger with fries. The burger was cooked as desired and the seasoning was good however it was very mid - nothing special and not worth the $20 I paid for it! The fries were not edible. I did have a 3 minute walk back to my hotel but I'm not sure that the quality of the fries would have changed that much. Overall not recommended. The appetizers were the highlight of our meal. The bruschetta, Brussel sprouts and steak skewers were outstanding and definitely the best part of the evening. The filet was well cooked and the asparagus were delicious. The Caesar salad was overdressed despite asking for light dressing which was disappointing but the rest of the meal was so good I was honestly too full to even finish it. We finished the meal with crème brûlée. The crust was a little too sweet but the custard was delicious and not too heavy after an already filling meal. The novelty of a Weber "grill" was enticing, so we decided to try it out on a Friday night. We were immediately greeted upon walking in and able to get a table right away without a reservation. When we got to our table, the server greeted us and left so we could look over our menus. I'd say she waited way too long to come back as we were waiting for at least 10 minutes. We ordered the spinach and queso dip as well as the French onion soup. The dip was okay and not as hot as it should have been. The onion soup was run-of-the-mill. Our server was pretty slow and we had to wait a long time just to get more water and she didn't seem to really put any effort in to making sure we were enjoying our food. We both ordered burgers and they were edible, but the meat was a bit flavorless. Novelty aside, not really worth coming here for the prices. read more

I had walked/driven by this place for years but it wasn't until I had some visitors from out of town interested in getting steaks for a birthday celebration that the the place with the iconic grill sticking out of the building came to mind. I love a good steak but there is something especially good about a charcoal grilled steak. Now the vibe and pricing here isn't as pretentious as some of the other steakhouses within walking distance but that doesn't mean you aren't going to get a quality meal. We started with the smoked brisket egg rolls which everyone at the table loved and I highly recommend. Then we ordered ribs, BBQ Bacon burger, prime rib, filet mignon, and a few cocktails. Everyone loved what they ordered and having the meats cooked on a weber grill really shined through in the flavor. Service was fast, friendly, and like I mentioned earlier unpretentious. The only thing that is keeping me from giving this place 5 stars is the cocktails were really good but not outstanding. A work in progress. I have been here several times and found the food to be decent (3-4 star rating). On this trip I was there for lunch and ordered the fish of the day, sea bass. The order arrived and the presentation was excellent. My surprise came after I tasted the fish around the outside edges and then cut into the middle. The fish was raw and still ice cold. The waiter came and took it away and reordered. The exact same situation occurred on the second try. Hard to believe but I was convinced the line cook just did not care. The very classy staff and manager reduced my bill by 50% which I appreciated. This should not happen in an establishment of this caliber. This will not stop me from coming back to the WGR. What leads me to Weber grill - the restaurant?? Well, I would have to say my Weber grill, which has been reliable for the past 8 to 10 years. See, I had two to three other grills (unreliable) and I thought - I need to get a grill that'll last. And guess what, my Weber grill fires up throughout the year, even in below 20F temperature. So they have credibility to me. To be honest, I haven't had their food in quite some time and I saw this $30 meal deal during this Covid period and I thought, why not?! So I jumped on I-94 and put the pedal to the metal in the Express lanes. :) Back at the ranch (home), the presentation was great - hats off to the food prep team. The chicken was really tender and they provided some of the au jus from the chicken and that was a great dipping sauce. I dipped my chicken into the BBQ sauce as well, that was also very good. The meatloaf was really appealing to the eye and tasted just right. The corn bread was a little stiff, I'll microwave it for 10 seconds next time. The skinny green beans were excellent - 6 stars. Driving back home with this meal, it smelled so good, I must have broke my record because there was no traffic and I was so hungry. What a rare occasion indeed. read more

They arrived burnt to a crisp. Black, every one of them. So that means the cook burnt them, still sent them, and the chef/expo also sent them out for service. Speaks volumes of what's going on there. I ordered the Brick Chicken Verde which had crispy Parmesan potatoes and a Campari tomato salad on the side; I also ordered a side of Macaroni and cheese, Jalapeño poppers and crème brûlée cheesecake. My order didn't take too long and the dasher delivered to my door like she was asked! Shot out to her cause we know how some of them do! They leave it in the lobby ugh! Excuse the tangent! Back to the food!!! So the Brick Chicken Verde was a chicken breast that was seasoned with verde sauce. It was okay. I really didn't care for the verde sauce. It was extra salty to me and tasted like it possibly had a dash of fresh mint. Maybe someone mistook the mint for cilantro. Either way it was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. But wait hunny, those little crispy Parmesan yet soft bundles of heaven! Crispy on the outside and soft on the side. Nice Parmesan flavor just delicious!!! Campari salad was a nice accompaniment to the saltiness of the Parmesan potatoes. The salad had Campari tomatoes (of course), a few radishes , arugula and a nice emulsified vinaigrette dressing. It was nice and refreshing. Mac and cheese was good too. No cheese pulls but nice and creamy. It had breadcrumbs on the top. Cavatappi pasta was used which I personally lovedddd! It cradled the sauce ohhh so right! Jalapeño poppers were croquette style and serve with a raspberry pepper jelly. Those crispy babies were a party in your mouth. Crispy outside, creamy cream cheese and cheese inside with chopped up pieces of Smokey bacon and jalapeños pieces. Oh boyyyy! Delicious! The raspberry pepper jam cut the richness poppers well! Last but not least the Crème brûlée cheesecake...delish! Smooth creamy decadent goodness. My only complaint was that the caramel sauce was just okay. Glad it came on the side. It tasted store bought. They was one of the only restaurants in the area open past 2300 in a tourist spot. I called in an order at the ninth hour. Upon arrival they allowed me to change it to dine in. The Manager went out of his way to accommodate us. The service was excellent. The food was fresh and good. It was closing time so we risked getting leftover or reheated food. Food was tasty and well priced. It also has a nice ambiance. It can easily accommodate large parties. We returned and enjoyed breakfast there too. After walking around for a little while and not finding anything, my nose lead us to the Weber Grill. Our wait was short, and we were quickly seated at a nice table. The staff was very friendly. For appetizers we had the pulled pork egg rolls--a good recommendation. We were there on a Saturday so prime rib was available. That was my choice. It was served with mash potatoes, au jus and horseradish sauce. The prime rib was a generous 20oz size and so tender. Everyone else was also happy with their meal. Tried the Weber Grill for the first time last weekend. Our waiter was great-attentive & friendly. The food was amazing! Had the roasted corn on the cob as an appetizer. Kid #1 had the classic burger with fries, kid #2 had the steak and fries and I had the filet lignin with garlic mashed potatoes. All were cooked to perfection. It's a huge place! Got there at around 5:25 when our reservation was at 5:30 and it was a bit quiet. Once 6-6:30 hit, it was packed. Our waiter was great when it was quiet but once the rush hour came it, it took a little time to grab his attention. I get it. I got the filet and it was delish. Very accommodating as I didn't want a lot of butter on my steak and I wanted an unloaded loaded baked potato. My boyfriend loved the delmonico ribeye. He ate the entire thing!
