Unfortunately the burrito was served to me almost cold, while the hash browns were so hot I couldn't eat them. I am shocked that I was refused service as a healthcare worker. Their reasoning "to stop the spread of COVID". If they truly cared, they would close the restaurant down. I got into an argument with the manager who only said "I understand". He didn't offer me food to go, just "I reserve the right to refuse service". The huevos were tasty. The green chile had a little bite, not too hot. The eggs were cooked perfect and the red chile was very mild. My guest had the papas bowl(hash browns) with chile, cheese, and an egg and stated it was the perfect amount of food and hit the spot! read more

I usually don't go to Weck's only due to the insane amount of time to wait (yes, I'm impatient person) as its like sometimes like 30 min to get a table at most Weck's on the weekend. But this place is fairly new and we came here on Saturday around 11 and walked right in for a table for 3. Nice..... Anyways, this place is as good as all other Wecks. Big breakfast's, good service and great cookies to buy when you pay your bill at the front. They other serve breakfast and lunch items, and i have never been disappointed in anything i have ordered. Im glad this new one opened up, they are always so busy. Hopefully this new one stays low key and I don't have to wait so long for a great breakfast or lunch meal! read more

Week's has always been a "go to" spot for us, but sad to say it is now off our list. Too many other options. The food quality was lacking and when only one order of toast came I was told by the waiter that my husband and I were to share the toast (1 order). Each of us were supposed to get an order as part of our entree and should never be asked to share a plate of any type of food. I have been to a lot of restaurants in my time and have never been asked to share food instead of getting what I paid for. I get that it is only toast, but it is only toast. We were hopeful trying this restaurant that is within close proximity to where we live, but left disappointed. Weck's has the quantity but not the quality, unfortunately... Went for breakfast and I will say that we were warmly greeted and our server was friendly and attentive and our food came out quickly. We were really hungry and you know what they say: "Hunger makes the best chef." Well, unfortunately that was not the case. HUGE portions of huevos rancheros, covered in sauce (that I just can't bring myself to call authentic red or green chile) and an enormous breakfast burrito, but the flavor, spice, sauce, and meat were lacking. The newest Weck's is fantastic! Great atmosphere, wonderfully helpful staff, and as always, delicious food. I don't usually come to this Weck's location but had an event here this morning. This location has a nice private room that easily seats 25 people. Our server did a spectacular job both caring for our group and managing the chaos. Excellent greeting when we walked in. Very friendly and sincere. The server repeated the order back to insure it was received correctly. A very nice touch. The server was friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal. When we received the check we were told we didn't need to rush and were offered to-go beverages. Another nice touch. If you are looking for a lot of food for your buck, then this is definitely the spot to go! Over sized portions could definitely feed 2 people, and the food is decent. The chili is hit or miss, but definitely hits the spot when it's good! The only food item I didn't like was the pancakes.. it was dry, and bland. So it's my husband and I's 8th anniversary and we are usually awaken at 7 every morning by my 4 year old so I got up extra early and got me and my son ready and decided to take my son out to eat to let my man sleep in. Everything was fine until the end of eating. I don't appreciate that they were treating me like I was going to leave without paying. I felt rushed on top of my 4 year old not listening to me which they could clearly see. The second he finished eating, he got up and started jumping because he had to pee and I kept telling him to wait until I paid and he was seconds from throwing a full tantrum in the middle of Weck's. So I let the server know he had to go potty and we would be right back, I left my jacket at the table but not my purse because I'm the only one who was at the table and no offense people steal stuff in Abq all the time. So we come out of the bathroom and sit down. I have always paid at the front and my server even said to head up front she will be my cashier to pay for my food. The manger came immediately and asked me if I was going to pay when I was getting my stuff to head up front. Then he told me I have to sit at the table and pay, that in the last few minutes they changed their policy. With an impatient 4 year old and the fact that he's lying I irritatedly sat down. I pull out my card and one server approaches me and then the manager passes her and picks up the card asking if it's ready to be charged. I didn't even get a second to breathe and check if I needed to move money over to my card, because it is possible to have multiple accounts. So of course, like I thought, a bill had been auto pulled and I had to transfer money. But I didn't even get the chance to do that before they came back rushing me for another form of payment and guess what it took all of 2 minutes to transfer the money and I was able to fully pay and tip. My 4 year old was clearly not listening and was all over the place and throwing his toy all over the ground. It was very frustrating that I was being rushed, I don't appreciate them assuming I'm not going to pay, it was just a stressful being approached by numerous people all of sudden who weren't my server, awful experience and I will not return. I've been in customer service and I know that you harass and rush people "nicely" when you assume they're going to steal. I still tipped because I appreciate the server, but yeah that was enough for me to not return. If you see a single parent with a young child, especially one they're constantly telling to sit down don't make assumptions. I rarely get offended but this put a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I watched this Wecks get built as I drove by it so often. When it was finally open we went the family. It's hard to review a Wecks because they are all the same. I will tell you about the service. When we arrived, we noticed that there wasn't anyone outside as you see in most of the Wecks. Then we entered. Somebody used their noodle with the design of this new Wecks. The waiting room was huge! It was packed. Don't worry Weck's doesn't mess around. They want to turn tables as fast as possible. The wait wasn't very long and the food tasted just like the other locations. I've been a fan for years. Wecks at every location has always been wonderful. I have to say I have finally had a total let down today. I had high hopes for the chicken and waffles. Total disappointment when I received frozen Tyson chicken atop my waffle. No, not frozen like it wasn't cooked, but frozen like they didn't even make their own batter/recipe. This would be so much better if you made the chicken from scratch and not pulled it out of a bag. read more

We usually go to the Weck's in Rio Rancho but thought we'd try this new Weck's which is closer to where we live. Staff, atmosphere & service was excellent. My food was not. Maybe a new cook? I don't know. The chips were very oily and soggy, had it sent back but the new ones weren't any better. Not crisp. My sweet potato fries where limp and oily. However the chicken fried steak was awesome! But we will probably stick with the one in Rio Rancho. read more

The Wecks on Coors behind Cottonwood has always been our favorite of all the Wecks in town so we were forward to eating there after their reopening. We fully expected the great service and food as always, but we were very disappointed. We placed our order; mine was fine, my husbands was totally wrong - ok mistakes happen. She brought him another plate -- still wrong, but oh well just let it go we were hungry. The toast were burnt very burnt, no butter. I asked for butter and jelly, and my husband asked for pepper - by this time she has an attitude and rolls her eyes. 5 minutes she brought the jelly, no butter, reminded her of pepper, again 5 minutes later the pepper showed up. Neither one of us could eat the boast. I understand not having condiments on the tables, but the wait staff should ask if the customers needs some. Did not see any of our usual staff, we always asked for Julie's section, she was great. I think this new staff needs more training in customer service. They lost us, we will not be going back, poor service and attitude. read more

This is my new favorite Weck's location. The employees really make you feel welcomed and set a great atmosphere! Our server was Andres and he was great, he would check up frequently making sure we were well taken care of. The food came out quickly, way faster than other Weck's locations. The manager on duty was amazing as well. He checked up on us, and was very kind and offering if we needed extra tortillas or anything. All the staff were very friendly, always smiles. The BEST. When we lived in Oregon, we had 2 favorite places to go for pure quality comfort food. When we moved to Albuquerque, I thought that I'd never find a place like those 2. Boy, was I wrong. Weck's is as good, or with some dishes, even better than my 2 fave's., in Oregon. Since we have moved here we had only eaten in the one on Coors Blvd.. This past week I had an occasion to eat at the store in Rio Rancho. Whoever does there training, at corporate, is doing an amazing job, as the service in both places is exactly the same..... My husband love Weck's. However, our latest visit on October 12, 2021 was not a pleasant experience. Took 20 minutes to get our order while others arriving after us had their meals 10 minutes before ours came. Our food was cold (the butter would not even melt on the pancake that was very over cooked, dry and crispy. My husband's food was cold as well. The scrambled eggs were chopped up so finely that we had to use our spoons to eat them. Our waitress was quite obviously missing from the floor for several minutes after taking our order, we didn't see her again until our cold meal arrived at our table. The restaurant was not crowded at all when we arrived but did fill up by the time we left. We did not finish the meal and let the waitress know why. They discounted the meal by $2.00. I know restaurants are short of staff and having problems but at this point in time, excellence is a priority to keep customers coming back, spending money, paying higher prices to eat out and trying to support their businesses. With poor service and consistency of lack luster quality, customers will stop coming. read more

Very disappointed. Normally love Weck's. Service was good but the food was substandard. My burrito, if you want to call it that, had hardly anything in it. My wife got the value burrito and hers was larger than my "Large Burrito". Mentioned it to the manager and he said everyone makes the food differently. "Some make them bigger than others". This is the place to go for breakfast. I always order a bowl of papas, you can never go wrong with the red or green chile. Whenever I'm here in Albuquerque, I know I can go to any location and have the same great service and food, they are very consistent. Today however, kudos to our waitress (I don't remember her name), but she was so efficient; we had our 2 young children with us and when she saw our 2 year old getting restless she brought over and offered some teddy grams and I have to mention she brought over extra napkins which any mom knows it is always much needed. I'm sad to say that this didn't taste like the Wecks I know and love. Maybe because they just opened, but the food just wasn't that good. The toast was burnt ..... It was black. I looked at others toast and it was burnt as well. I had a papas bowl and the hash browns were not crisp at all. They were mushy and had the consistency of mashed potatoes. It was very dry with very little cheese & chile. The red and green chile wasn't very tasty either. They also ran out of choc chip cookies.....really?? Maybe I'll go back in a few months to see if the cooks get any better. The staff was excellent and that part was just like any other more established Wecks. read more
