This place was packed. It's just a breakfast/lunch place. It's not like the food was that special. But boy do they know how to keep those kiddo's occupied! I wanted a set of the toys too! The service was pretty good for how busy they were. The food was just as good as if I made it - which I didn't have to. The place was hoppin'! Can't remember what I got but I do remember the kids pancakes!

This is my favorite Weck's of all of the locations I have tried thus far. It is HUGE, the staff are super super kind and attentive and they had the cutest holiday decor everywhere. We arrived 30 minutes after opening and everyone was super cheery and welcoming. My food was bomb, if you have seen my other reviews you'll know I'm a big benny girl and there's hits it out of the park. The load you up with hashbrowns too, far to many for me to finish!

I came in and was seated promptly in the main dining room with my 4 year old granddaughter while we waited for my daughter to arrive. Our waitress was so nice and promptly gave us our menus (new ones since the last time I was there.) The restaurant was clean and tidy and everyone was busy doing something. When we were seated I noticed that the menus were new. And also noticed a smaller menu that had lite options and on the other side GLUTEN FREE! While I am not gluten free, I know someone who is and I know what a big deal it is to have these options. Nice job Wecks! I ordered the taco salad with ground beef. It's my favorite lunch item. The papas come in a different bowl which I can't tell has more or less but it looked good. The children's French toast and a scrambled egg for my granddaughter was cute and she loved both. I was informed that this location had a new owner. Which I believe is who it was who walked to each table ensuring everyone was having a good experience. I suspect there was a bit of an increase in prices but I expect that. The food was great. My only suggestion which might be a silly one, is to have a larger print menu. Sometimes even with new glasses it's hard to read. Overall a great experience and our waitress was great!

Came in this morning and got a $6.00 cinnamon roll to go. Asked to heat it. Took 12 minutes had to ask about how much longer and was told they heat it slow lol so it's heat through. Result: dry dry and burnt. Not sure what they mean by slow heat. What a rip off

This is a fantastic little breakfast Resturant that has been in business for 20 +\- years. The staff were all extremely pleasant and friendly. Sonya who was my server was fantastic. I had the Papa Bowl and it was filling and tasty. They kept the coffee refills coming and checking in often. It's a small quaint restaurant that appears to be a local staple to the community. So glad I could come to this small locally owned restaurant.

Had the day off work so I treated myself. Today they have hazelnut coffee. Service is a little slow here, they stuck in the corner so maybe they don't see me. Waitress was friendly and apologized for not seeing me. Says she was not told she had someone in her area. This is the first time they did not sit me in the single spot. Lol, it is in the south part of building and when I'm alone I always get sat there. Really enjoy the food here. Usually get the papas but today decided to go for the omelette de framage. 3 egg omelette with bacon and green chili. Only issue, and I understand, is some of the staff want to stay in the back and gossip and I mean loud. The omelette is great and the chili has a great kick. I recommend the omelette here

Lunch version of chicken fried steak with cottage cheese & fruit cup sides. I smothered red chili sauce on mine. Mmmmmm!

I don't even know where to start but here goes. The New Mexican Philly cheesesteak, arguably my favorite dish, very very different take on what a cheesesteak usually is (not in a bad way). I was first skeptical when I ordered it, but I saw all the great reviews on the dish so I had to try. This was oddly enough my 4th favorite Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, which is weird to say because the first 3 favorites were actually in Philly and made the traditional way. Something about the spicy queso sauce and the soft fatty tasting meat just really brought it home. The huevos rancheros: every inch was flavorful , saucy, cheesy and lovely. I enjoyed even more the parts where I could also taste the tortilla at the bottom, wish it was in more of the dish but it's okay the flavors were outstanding. Another 5 star dish! Next time I'll also try it with eggs over medium. The Xmas chile cheese fries: best chile cheese fries in New Mexico! The fries themselves tasted like they were hand cut, so either they had some high quality freezer fries or they definitely cut those fries by hand. Either way I wasn't complaining! Their green chile was insanely good. We also had the Green Chile stew, the flavors and ingredients were really good. I think for people that love home cooking this will feel really nostalgic for them. Like grandmas caldo she used to make. For me, the dry texture of the beef reminded me way too much of my mom's dry / rough beef she always had in her stews . Objectively I can say it was a really nice caldo, but the tortillas, not sure how I could grab on to much of the food with it really. I think this might be a dish best eaten in house. I also tipped their staff $2 in addition to the driver tip , and they wrote a funny joke on the plate which I thought was cute haha. I kept the rating at 5 stars but I hope that management reads this review because I do have one critique. All the food was in styrofoam and non sustainable plastic. Styrofoam especially has been banned from some places including California because when heated it, it adds cancer causing chemicals into your food. I would gladly pay $0.35 per meal to receive the meals in sustainable packaging that will keep me healthy. Because of this, I think I won't be ordering from here for delivery and hope that I have time to make the 20 minute drive to go there in person. It's really good food! Found this place on DoorDash but the funny part is it's been near my house the whole time next to the barber shop I've been to plenty of times.

It is definitely out of the way, but worth it to be able to try something new. Albuquerque is obviously not known for its selection of German food but this is it if you're looking for it. I would describe this as a bakery / specialty grocery store / eatery. They have a variety of baked goods, including strudel and whole cakes. They also have a lunch menu with German delicacies and some grocery items that you can pick up to go. I came out of time where I wasn't super hungry and was only there for a sweet treat, but I would definitely like to eventually go back and try some of the savory foods. It's solid New Mexican cooking by…read morea skilled artisan - notably tastier than most local places _even in spite of_ the fact that no animal products are used in the chile. Yes, the chiles are vegan. (So are the beans - pressure-cooked to creamy tenderness.) Yes, they're delicious - both the red (from pods!) and the green. (And, yes, it's me - noted grumpy traditionalist who usually wants an extra scoop of bacon grease in pretty much every dish - who's writing that.) The room is small, but well thought-out. There are nice little two-top tables outside along the sidewalk/patio in this pleasant part of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque. Lavender Cocinita is popular, with a steady stream of folks coming in - but I've never had a problem getting seated and I've never felt rushed (even when sitting a while, jabbering in the chile afterglow). (Free parking is plentiful in the area, but a little weird in the Los Ranchos pedestrian area: your best bet might be trying for street parking on Tyler Road, the E/W street just N of the restaurant.) The chef is friendly and will answer questions. The counter folks have always been friendly and kind: checking on us periodically. Really nice folks. It's an order-at-the-counter/pay/take-a-seat/they-bring-it-to-you place, but the service is good enough that you'll kick yourself if you don't tip heavier than usual for such an arrangement. Get your own water at the counter. Food is cooked to order (perfectly in all my visits thus far) and will take a few minutes to get to your table, but you'll be happy. Portions are always large (I leave full, and I'm a big eater) and the cost is on the low edge of today's pricing. The chiles are real-deal: they tend to be notably more piquant than at most places in town but they're real chile and vary in heat with the batch being served (I am used to and appreciate heat and one time the green was HOT!). As noted, the flavors are just wonderful. Bear in mind, NM red and green chiles are relatively simple sauces with few components: the artistry of the chef and the quality of the ingredients are absolutely vital to the flavor impact of the finished product served - and Lavender Cocinita absolutely nails this. Foodies have written the place up over and over, and they've won awards that would impress folks in the know in the short time (less than two years) they've been open. Without being melodramatic, this place gives a serious-about-the-flavors vibe that reminds me of those noted in places that have won James Beard American Classic awards. Lavender Cocinita is a reasonably inconvenient drive for me, but every time I've made it I've driven back with a grin and a vow to do it again soon.

I stopped by for lunch and found the menu offered a nice variety of choices. I ordered the Los Ranchos Turkey sandwich with homemade chips and a Lavender Iced Tea. My sandwich arrived about 24 minutes after ordering, which may have been due to the lunch rush. Including tip, lunch came to about $30. While the price point felt a little high for the overall experience, the quality and flavor of the food helped balance that out. Overall, I enjoyed the food and appreciate having another locally owned option in the neighborhood.
