It's been a while since we went to Wedge, probably a couple years in fact. Chose the #3 combo. The burger was gross.... The sauce was so watered down, and it was flavorless. The regular fries weren't much to write home about. Also got chili fries, the cheese was almost non existent so we ended up adding our own cheese at home. I can think of so many other better choices for a burger and fries. I would eat McDonalds over Wedge. I can't believe someone said Wedge is better than In-n-out... really? I would actually give this 3.5 stars but that option isn't available and I feel bad only giving 3 stars, so I'm giving them 4 stars. The reason why is because of their burger meat. The meat is really thin and kind of reminds me of the pre-made frozen burger meat you buy at a grocery store in a large pack. But, it did taste good with all the condiments and the fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I only noticed the patty being plan and thin because I ordered it for my 2-1/2 year old son and tasted it. Wedge Burger is a fantastic restaurant. It is cheaper and in my opinion better than in-n-out. They are quick and the food is fresh. The only reason they are not receiving the maximum amount of stars because of this incident that occurred there. Since there is no inside eating area and just a drive thru - people like to eat in the parking lot right there. Its a nice easy spot to chill off 17th street. But this one time I was eating my double cheeseburger and I really only rolled down my window to throw the pickles that I took off my burger onto the grass patch for some squirrels, birds, and/or sparrows. Then I heard a homeless man, who looks to have positioned himself in this parking lot in the corner 3-6 days ago; he began screaming "I am R-word". For anyone who may be fortunate to not know this word, it is the word that is used to offend people who suffer mental disabilities. To set the stage for the other parties within this parking lot: there is a woman and who I would clock as her younger sister. They are probably closer in age than they looked but the younger sister just has a better skin care routine, and it shows - good job sistah! The other party was a family (1 daddy and about 3 kids ranging from 4 yrs old to 8). So back to the story, the homeless man keeps yelling this and the woman yells at him to "stop saying that" which fell on deaf ears and then "shut up". This got the homeless mans attention and began yelling it but now directed at her "I AM R-WORD". Then she gestured to the family and said "shut up, there are children hear". But then the man turned to the woman and said "Stop telling him to shut up, I don't want to have to teach my children these things. He's doing a service right now. He's not calling anyone this word and he's not saying it hatefully. What are you even doing? This is where he is, you can go home and enjoy your peace. This homeless R-word is going to stay here." Few words were really said after that and everyone left the parking lot. And I haven't processed my thoughts or feelings on that event. On future visits, i try and look to see if that homeless r-word is still there. Sadly I haven't seen him but I hope he's having a good year. read more

This place is not bad especially their onion rings which are Bomb! So good, but you do not get enough of them. The burgers are pretty delish but they obviously have bumped up prices and everything is just not large enough... I do like that their menu which offers some good variety, they are a local business and differently different than the chain drive thrus. Unfortunately they do not have a lot of workers so you may have to wait. I have given the people inside a tip on occasion because I know how hard they try to go fast especially when they are busy. Considering that nowadays a mcd franchise charges over 5 bucks for the burger, I loved the quality and size of Wedge Burger that I got. I think I will come back to enjoy some more. The onion ring, however, was good quality but lil bit on the expensive side. I remember it was over $3.50? Maybe onion ring is expensive everywhere. However, they do have deals in those mailers that most people throw away. That's how I ended up there tonight - $2 off a combo coupon. Made my burger, fries and soda "only" $6+! It's hard for a place like this to compete with the McDonald's (price point) and In-N-Out's (quality and taste) of the world, but they do an alright job with everything stacked against them. Note that there's no inside seating. You either order from the window outside and sit outside or drive-thru.
