This is the cheese sauce/corn crab bisque. Same exact product.

Went to Wegeaux Cafe on Westbank expressway.... Oh let me tell you!!! This is a pic of the sauce that the corn and grab soup is made of. My girl said it wasn't her taste, the short waitress told her to take it home because she still had to pay. When she said no thanks she took it back boxed it up and still charged her. Of course she's the manager. Manage me spending my money elsewhere! As much as we eat. And as many people we know... This is horrible customer service. It's not what you say but how you say it. Don't spend your money in a place where bad food is compounded with rude behavior and bad service from Billie the Floor manager... whose boyfriend is the cousin to the real waitress Mona that served us so well last time we enjoyed this place.

This was my first eating at this hidden gem. The food was very favorably, hot, fresh, reasonable priced and served with a smile. I don't know how I never been here before, but I do know I shall return.

This is a quaint little place that offers breakfast all day...winning! I stopped by yesterday for a quick one. It was full of what looked like regular customers...everyone seemed to know each other. Service was friendly and fast. The breakfast was tasty and super reasonable. They also serve lunch. My only negative was the tea party sized coffee. Lol. I had to get a couple of refills before i felt completely saitisfied. Other than that it was a pretty good experience.

Chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. (Onions and mushrooms are optional). So delicious!

Back to the best part...the food! Nothing is left without seasoning. The chicken and waffles didn't even need butter. The French toast is fantastic as always(they were out of praline sauce, but the blueberry reduction was really good as well). Last up is the shrimp and grits omelette, this thing is huge and packed with flavor. The omelette is topped with shrimp and sauce, and then stuffed with shrimp and grits! Chef Myron is going to need a bigger diner room when word gets out about them. Thanks for never disappointing, Lebrane's!

I did…read morereviewed LaBrane's menu prior to arrival and elected to have the Lasagna Baked, Fried Half Platter substituted the Fries for Mac & Cheese for an additional $3.00. The same Mac & Cheese was listed for $4.00. It was never explained of a cost difference after being told I can substitute because so I was going to get the Mac & Cheese regardless to try it out. I also ordered the Baked Bread Pudding. Placing the order took a little time and the Kiosk seemed to be a little cumbersome. Paying attention to my receipt, I see a To Go Fee of. $0.75 which isn't much but it was just an observation. Service is not quick! Order was placed at 11:57 and I received my close to an hour later. So I took a seat and patiently waited for my name to be call. Started paying attention to other patrons who were dining in and waiting for their food. Each table had people sitting down and having casual conversation. I counted about 21 people including myself. The atmosphere was pleasant but it was not giving. They had music playing from station 107.5. I'm a stickler for sanitation and it's the little things that matter....dipping cups in an ice machine vice using a ice scooper, wearing gloves particularly when servicing food to those dining in and not using a tray bring out food. Simply doing too much to not be consistently washing hands. Same person taking away soiled trays is bringing out food. One customer had to ask for utensils for his Togo orders as he didn't have any. A second customer just got her Togo order and had to ask for utensils as well. Just saying with a To Go Fee, you think that someone will check or maybe they are just overwhelmed with the services they are trying to provide. 30 minutes later, I'm still patiently waiting and listening to Drake with my AirPods in. So this is heavily leaning towards a One Shot One Kill for me. This business had 6 potential customers who came in and walked out. I witnessed four potential customers who were never greeted or given an explanation as to how the operation goes. It's safe to say they more than likely will not be coming back. They were on the lure but the lack of acknowledgment allowed them to get away. Update: Got my food in To Go containers at approximately 56 minutes after paying for my order. I did check my bag before leaving and no utensils could be found. Once I got back to my office, I saw that they did place a fork in each tray which was essentially covered with food as it was not separated. I would prefer to have a utensil pack or a knife and fork wrapped in a napkin. Guess only reason is that my food all being cooked fresh as it's ordered Joking How was the food? Fish and Shrimp: Tasty with a nice consistency for then breading. Lasagna: Simply did not have the layers for me as meat sauce, noodles, cheese filling (did not exist. The top layer of the lasagna had some hard spots and the ends of the noodle were crunchy. The sauce beneath it was on the sweat side and did not match the same flavor of the lasagna itself. Mac & Cheese: Peppery flavor with cheese tasting more on the Velvetta side. I never pictured Mac & Cheese with shells. Surely was not expecting it to be like this. Bread Pudding: Best Part of the Meal. The flavor, consistency and sweetness were all on point! . They did have sauce on the Menu for a $1 but prior to my order, I thought a sauce was automatic like many other locations serve. I did not let my emotions overtake my Honest review!

The moment you pull up there is ample parking space and a couple of places out side to just sit back and enjoy the breeze, the peace and quiet of a neighborhood local to an area on the rise. The proprietor Jessica Lopez is a local woman born and bred in the city of Westwego and she is meticulous about getting it right. From her smile on greeting you, to her culinary skills in the kitchen. You will not be disappointed. The people that were there were raving about the sandwiches they had ordered and I can not say a negative word about the Caramel Iced coffee and fresh moist chewy brownie I got to enjoy with it. The old hippy loved his Hot Vanilla latte. They do offer a variety of milk options: but, they also have the tried and true original whole milk. This dream is a long time coming for both the Owner and the customers who are in need of a place to relax and enjoy the subtle background sounds, the spacious set up so you aren't subjected to other's conversations. They even have a kids corner where they can go and hang out: color and do what kids do while you relax. While it is not a full scale diner. There are wonderful breakfast items and sandwiches available for a light breakfast or lunch. And the cost is not so outlandish that you will have to take a second mortgage out. A patron stated that it was the first time he had three sandwiches and 3 large specialty coffee for under 30 dollars total. Now keep in mind this is a new place. It is not a drive thru quick pace set up. It designed to relax, breath, unwind, enjoy the artwork, the ambiance, the peaceful vibe. If you are in a hurry to get back to the rat race of your life, this may not be for you. But if you are looking to support local small business and tired of your money going to a big box coffee shop CEO's newest villa or yacht. Then step into a way a coffee shop should feel. Let the anxiety melt away in the friendly peaceful vibe of supporting a local neighbor making their mark on the city they grew up in and love. If you are on the other side of the river and want to see some local artist work of what the westbank has to offer. Sala Ave in WestWego is a great place to start. Just head down 4th street and enter the way life should be. Slower peaceful and friendlier. And the "Historic Grounds" is just down the street on the same side. Just keep it at the speed limit they do have a police force who are quite good at their job.

The breakfast here is amazing, especially if you can get there on a Friday for the City Gravy. It's to die for. All of the breakfast options I've had here are amazing (shrimp allergy, so I don't know about the biscuit boat, but I bet it's amazing), and the maple biscuit is fantastic. I went here today for lunch. Unfortunately I missed the fried ribs by about five minutes so I got the fried chicken instead and it did not disappoint. Probably the biggest chicken breast I've ever seen, seasoned and cooked to absolute perfect. I had a large side of dirty rice, which was amazing (I'm running out of adjectives), and then a double order for two small sides of the Five Star Mac and Cheese (there's an upcharge to do that but it's worth it, although the other sides are great too). It was so much food I had to save part of the sides! We also got the pepper balls (looked great but the shrimp allergy) and Brussels sprouts. Sorry this is a lot, but you also need to know that Chef Marlon is a genuinely amazing human being.
