I've had the pizza here a few times. They've got many different specialty pizza's, which come in red or white sauce. The white sauce is fantastic. The slices are HUGE and a large will run ya about 12 bucks. The shop is small, and the staff is friendly. I've gotten delivery a couple of times, and it's always on time and the staff over the phone are polite and fast at taking the order. I'd choose this place over it's neighbor. read more

I ordered their meatball sub which was pretty darn good. Can't complain. My main complaint is once I say down to eat my food one of the employees stepped outside the back door to take a smoke but left the door open so the whole place smelled like smoke. About ten minutes later a second employee did the same thing! After that I couldn't even enjoy my sandwich because of the smell of smoke as I was eating. I admit that I am a bit of a pizza snob so I am never really had their pizza but I their hot and cold sandwiches are really good. There chicken parm come with very healthy sized cuts of meat and a very delicious sauce. The super steak has salami mixed in for a nice twist. I like that when you ask for hots they listen and the item has a nice heat to it. As with the sandwiches, they do a superb job with their pasta dishes also. It is my favorite combo of a lot of good food for a little money. They are super fast too. I am always impressed how fast they can fill a pick up order, no matter how big it is. Ordered a pizza and was told it would 30 minutes. After an hour I called and to check the status and was told by the woman that it would be there in a minute or two, hes pulling in now. After 15 minutes I called back to make sure they had the correct phone number and address, which they did, and again she told me any minute now. I called for the 3rd time 15 minutes later and asked them to call the driver to see where he is, the man who answered said there was no need because the driver was pulling into my place. Its great waiting well over an hour and a half then getting an attitude from the guy on the phone. I finally asked to talk to a manager and the guy said "he too busy, call back in 30 minutes. Do you want the order or should I tell my driver not to deliver it?" Since I couldn't reach through the phone and punch the donkey on the other end, I sarcastically told him that he has fantastic people skills, then he hung up on me. All of this being said, I was hoping for decent food from the place seeing as the ratings were good. The pizza finally arrived, cold. It wasn't horrible but not a place I would tell people they should try, its like any "House of Pizza" in any town in the US, greasy, frozen crust. I had ordered a toasted steak tip bomb. I got a shaved steak with about a wheel of cheese that was at one point melted, but had now hardened into a brick. We threw it all out. Got a pizza delivered for the first time today. Took 30 min to arrive at a Wellesley residence. A large garden pizza costs $15. The pizza was thin, covered generously in veggies perfectly cooked, and the crust was fluffy with a outer crunch. For the area, this is the best pizza I have had thus far. read more

For Boston area pizza, Wellesley North End is delicious. They have a real pizza oven, not one of those awful conveyor belt things that leaves the crust soggy. The plain cheese is deelish on its own- no need for any fancy toppings. My favorite part about Wellesley North End Pizza is the fried mushrooms. Disclaimer: I am incredibly biased towards people who brave the cold, dark night to bring me food. Bonus points if they are quick about it, if the food isn't smashed/smushed/unrecognizable, and if they are friendly rather than some grumpy, angst filled teen who is bitter about having to work for a living. Wellesley North End Pizza is good pizza. It's the first time having pizza in the Boston region, so I've nothing to compare it to locally...but compared to other cities/states where I've had pizza, it certainly doesn't disappoint. We had the meat lover's pizza and a salad (which was ginormous) and it arrived pretty quickly. Fresh, hot, flavorful, and above average. You can tell that it's not some processed, thrown together chain pizza that was made by someone who doesn't care. The delivery person was pretty nice as well. We're not BFF's and I didn't friend him on Facebook, but he didn't act as if bringing me food was ruining his plans for the night. A good value and I will certainly keep them on the short list of places to call when I'm in need of some decent pizza. read more

I used to order from them a lot because they are not even half a mile from my house. I ordered omelettes one morning with toppings and received nothing but a pile of soggy uncooked toppings with some egg scrambled in it. I called to let them know and the person who answered claimed I was lying and that he made it himself and he knew he made it correctly. The onions and peppers weren't even sliced, let alone diced. And raw. My boyfriend is a chef and even tried to reason with the man and said he knows they all have bad days and that things happen. But he didn't want to hear it. I had to call Grubhub to get them to authorize a refund although the store didn't comply until Grubhub contacted them. It's one thing to serve pretty much inedible food, but it's another to be condescending and rude to your customers. read more

Great menu for pizzas, there's bound to be a style for everyone. My style was the meat lovers and I was very pleased with the outcome. I've gotten delivery from here several times. They usually come pretty fast and the food is still hot. There was only one occasion that the delivery was slow and food was cold but I think it was because it was a busy Friday. The sandwiches and pizzas are okay, nothing too special. The salads aren't very good and the house dressing is pretty much Italian dressing diluted with a lot of oil. I like the appetizers--mozzarella sticks, fries, onion rings are all good choices and come very hot. Overall I would only recommend this place if you want delivery. I was tremendously disappointed to venture into this "north end pizza" place and get a slice of pizza that is very similar to the greek-owned place next door - wellesley house of pizza - that has been there for 50 years. If you're going to set up shop next to an establishment that's been there 50 years, you should be a little more different than just a little extra garlic in the sauce. No shame... Mark's Pizza and "Here To Go Buddy" (as we used to call WHOP back in the day) have paid theire dues. This place is somewhat new and sounded good so I finally tried it. Where to start? Front door. Try to open it. My kid can not, my wife struggled, I had to use both hands. Is it winter, cold, wind or just heavy door - I did not investigate and don't really care. If you manage to open it - it is like a wind tunnel. Chilly inside, so pick your table carefully. Strange as it sounds, best place is to the left of the aforementioned door. Pick closer to register - and you are in trouble - it BLOWS in February. Staff at register speak and understand some English. We ordered half garlic glazed chicken and half north end pizza. Waiting time was longer than promised 10 minutes, but I did not complain, remembering "good things happen to those who can wait". Well, they didn't. In about 20 minutes it was crash landed on our table (waiter somehow managed to soil my jacket). About the food. When 6 year old kid saw the pizza he literally started to cry and did not want any of it. You see, garlic chicken pizza is a wet mess (or mass should I say) which slides right off the dish. It is very hot (even according to my chilly pepper loving wife), so make sure you have water reservoir nearby. Forget about holding it: best approach to consume is a Burrito style - wrap it around and put in your mouth and bite in big chunks before it finds a way through your fingers. Now, I am not a french cousin and can eat almost anything, but this pizza place pushed even my limits. It tastes like a bunch of disconnected pieces floating in a hot sauce. The other variety (north end) was in a slightly better shape. Overall, my experience is negative. read more

The Boston area and suburbs are drowning in bad pizza (e.g. Wellesley House of Pizza, and Tom's). Against a melange of mediocrity, Wellesley Northend Pizza is OK. They use a real pizza oven - maybe covered in bricks, but you won't get a Pepe's style pizza here. Crust is still decent, with a nice texture that doesn't get soggy too quickly. Pies are small - a large is 6 slices, but is reasonably priced. The vegetable toppings were uninspiring and bland. Stick to the cheese pie and you'll be fine. Fried mushrooms are tasty and a nice accompaniment. read more
