I'll start this review by saying their food pickup system during the pandemic is great; they definitely are doing it right. The food was okay. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend based on this experience. We ordered Sesame Chicken and Chicken Lo Mein. The Lo Mein was probably the best and it really was just a bowl of noodles, chicken and sauce.. no vegetables. The Sesame Chicken was extremely soupy, not crunchy and HUGE chicken chunks that are hard to chew. Just not satisfying. There is definitely better Chinese food out there. read more

Went for lunch and wasn't impressed. I ordered the Mongolian beef and Crab Rangoon appetizer. Both came out in less than ten minutes of ordering and at the same time. I could tell by the look and texture of the beef and rice that the food was not fresh and made to order. It looked and tasted as if it had been sitting under the heat lamp like a buffet. It was as if they just heated it up in a microwave. Not sure if I'll try again because there are many other proven Chinese restaurants that offer better quality. read more

Through Yelp and I guess grub hub, I ordered shrimp fried rice with hot and sour soup and a side of chicken wings for lunch. 30 minutes later while my husband was at the restaurant to pick-up my order, it was canceled. The restaurant stated that they did not cancel and could not determine what happened to my order. My husband re-ordered the food and the meal was really good, especially the soup. I will eat there again, but maybe order in person as it seems the online ordering is an issue. Additionally, I live 4.1 miles away from the restaurant and it is disappointing to know that they do not deliver so close to my home. read more

General tso chicken was awful. I'm so use to Chinese restaurants cooking this dish with Chinese red peppers and not jalepenos. Flavors didn't work for me, it was also watery. Fried rice lacked flavors as well. Best Chinese food I've eaten in the Austin area has to be First Wok. read more

This was pretty decent for Chinese outside of Austin area. We had sesame chicken, orange chicken, hot and sour soup and wonton soup. My favorite was the hot and sour. Definitely going to try some other dishes later on. Their lunch specials look great! read more

they're lucky i couldn't give them 0 stars , because if i could i would. customer service was horrible, the man front desk had a nasty attitude , he decided to say "there's nothing i can do about that" when he messed up my order. egg rolls filled with cabbage questionable "chicken" and all together not good. orange chicken needed entirely more sauce it was very dry. they need to do better!! read more

Very good. Hubby and I just moved to Hutto and wanted something other then or normal. Found this place on yelp and decided to try. It was really good. He got Pepper Steak and I got House rice and crab Rangoon with egg rolls to share. We got it delivered and was told it would be between 40-45mins but it was actually more like 35 which was great cause we were starving. Delivery guy was very friendly. Only complaint is my crab Rangoons were slightly over cooked which made it really crunchy and cut the roof of my mouth. But other then that we enjoyed. Will be ordering again for sure. read more

PLEASE save yourself the time and never order delivery or take out (pick up) from here. We've been here quite a few of times but every time we do take out or delivery.... it's NEVER right. After tonight, I will never go back. This is the 3rd time we've ordered take out or delivery and it was wrong. Once they completely forgot my kids meal and the second time they gave me chicken fried rice instead of chicken lo mien even though it said chicken lo mien on the reciept! Tonight, Our food gets here minus the drinks (a coke and this peach specialty soda that has a little marble in it that my kiddo LOVES). I called them and was told they would credit me on my next visit (which previous reviews have mentioned this is not something i should agree to because they never follow thru). I said, "but what happens if I never want to eat at your restaurant again?" He replied....good question. I said, "will you please just refund the card I paid with". He talked to his manager nut This is apparently something they will not do. Instead.... they will send a driver BACK over with my drinks. 45 minutes later there's a knock at my door and I'm expecting the 2 drinks that I paid for. Nope... they delivered 1 can of coke but no peach specialty soda. I asked the driver where my other drink is and his response, "that's all they gave me. You can call the restaurant and tell them". I called back the restaurant and let them know that I'll never ever eat there again. I was told I could talk to the manager but it's now 920 at night and this whole things started with an order placed at 645! If you eat there.... it's better. DO NOT EVER ORDER DELIVERY! read more

We're in Hutto and have ordered delivery a few times. Delivery has always been prompt if not earlier than expected. Always warm and delicious. The crab rangoon are so good, stuffed with a great filling, ratio of scallion to cream cheese to crab is perfect. read more

I like the food here, but twice they messed up my order and the last time I discovered it when I got home. The staff is young and not very customer service oriented. They yold me to bring everything back untouched and they would exchange my food. Isn't that unsanitary? I don't know if I want to eat there again. I don't kniw where my food has been. Worst customer service ever. After trying to place an order today, their website and their menu do not advertise or mention that prices are subject to change. Was told by their manager who refused to give me their name that because it was Labor Day they could charge more on every item. I asked where it stated that on their website or their menu, they denied to answer that question. They don't tell you also that if you want a pan friend PORK dumpling it ONLY comes in steam. The only pan fried they offer is chicken. (even if you request the pork to be panfried they will tell you no). The quality of their food has gone seriously down hill and I will NOT be going back. We went to this new Family owned restaurant for a late lunch. We tried the Hunan chicken and garlic scallops. As we are used to more authentic Asian food, we asked for both dishes to be a little bit spicier than how they are normally offered (pflugerville and Hutto area tends to be rather mild when it comes to ethnic foods and Wen's cafe dishes do seem to be rather mild to accommodate the local population.) We were both very pleased! The service was very good - in fact Wen herself was our server! They have a very reasonable lunch menu but we did order off of the dinner menu. I highly recommend 8/17/18, we have come for a second time now. We ordered the sesame chicken and the moo goo gai pan chicken. I absolutely loved the moo goo gai pan chicken! The chicken was very tender and moist. The sauce was super tasty (this is a dish that is not traditionally spicy.) My husband said that his sesame chicken was also very tasty. I talked with Wen about The possibility of them developing a gluten-free menu. They are already looking into it. read more

Husband and I stopped in this evening. While we were the only diners there was a steady stream of carry-outs. Service was fine, not chatty but took our orders politely and correctly. ok.... not much flavor. Small portions. And did I say no flavor. I was excited bc I thought it was a real Chinese restaurant. But all their proteins is clearly frozen and dumplings as well. Spent 55 dollars and I could have made this better at my home. The general tso isnt spicy alot pf sweet lomein not much flavor dumplings were still cold and you can tell the come from a freezer but I love them so I'm ok. Chicken wings are good. Excited to see a Chinese place on the Hutto/Pflugerville boarder. Wen's Cafe did not disappoint. I ordered Veggie Spring Rolls, Mo Shu Vegetable, and Hot & Sour soup for a to-go order. I did not call ahead so my expectation was that it might take 30+ minutes. It took 15 minutes and the order was spot-on. The food itself was packed up well; nothing spilled. The decent size portions; enough to feed two adults and a lunch tomorrow. Average prices for Chinese-American. Food had great flavor...no need to dump sauce all over it. read more
