At the mechanic in California showing me what was coming off under the car

I really wanted to like this place. They got me in quick when I had a check engine light come on a few days before a roadtrip. I had seen a few reviews that said they refused to take responsibility when they clearly made mistakes on vehicles and I had so hoped I wouldn't run into this issue, but I did. They told me it was the def pump - didn't tell me it wasn't something that I didn't have to replace right away - my bad though I should've done the research. They kept my car overnight without even letting me know! Again, I took the blame because I should've noticed the time and called to check the status, however I do believe I should've been informed if my car was going to be kept overnight. Went to pick it up the next morning running late to work and thought I heard a funny sound so I pulled over to check the engine. When the car was in park, the engine sounded fine when I pressed on the gas pedal it still sounded fine so I rushed to work thinking it must be nothing. A few hours later, I had to leave for the road trip and at the end of the 4 hour drive we realized the plastic piece underneath the car had been dragging the whole entire drive. We took pictures and video of the issue and informed the Mechanic as soon as they were open. I told them we needed to take it into a spot here and I would try to find a place that would do it for free but asked that they reimburse me if there were any charges. The guy on the phone sounded agreeable to this and said as soon as we got back back into town to bring it in and they would take a look. While on this trip out of town, I had to take it to a mechanic two separate times because it kept falling and right away they told me that it would have to be replaced and not stay on because of the damage done. I called Werkstatte to let them know what this Mechanic said and sent pictures from this Mechanic, who did that all for free. Again, they said they were sorry and to bring it in as soon as I was back in town. I brought it in as soon as I was back in town and they blamed me for the issue saying I should have brought it right back. One, I didn't know that piece was hanging down or I would've tried to and two because they kept my car overnight I had no time between work and needing to leave for this road trip to another job to take it back in. The general manager was incredibly rude on the phone blaming me repeatedly for the problem. I wasn't aware that after I took my car to a mechanic I still needed to check it out to make sure all the pieces were put back together. Now they want to charge to replace this part they didn't put on correctly and are saying there's a leak that's causing part of the problem - which I asked twice if there were any other issues the first time I had my car in and they said nothing else was wrong. I'd suggest going elsewhere if you want a place that will stand behind their work and try to fix an issue if a mistake is made. I still cannot believe how I was treated here.

Came back today to get some general maintenance done. And just wanted to say this experience was 100x better than my first visit. I even had the same service advisor and everything, a complete 180. Probably just caught him on a bad day the last time but this visit was definitely much better. And I would gladly recommend their shop. They Got me in and out and was very thorough about the process. Not sure if they remembered me because I didn't mention who I was or my previous experience at the shop but they for sure turned it around and I will most likely be back in a few weeks to get my front brakes done. Awesome work and thank you!! Only thing I'd like to suggest is maybe having a greeter at the front. A few people walked in and weren't sure where to go or who to talk to upon entering. Both service advisors were with people in the offices at the time. But outside of that they were very helpful.

These guys have been servicing BMWs in Las Vegas for over a decade. I usually don't leave reviews but they truly care about your vehicle. You should see how busy they get during the summer time. Plus people trust them with their Rolls Royce vehicles. I would never look for another shop to work on BMWs.

If you have a BMW, this is the place to go. Had an issue and my car was at the dealership in Henderson for 10 days...they couldn't figure it out and gave my car back to me saying they fixed the problem (which they hadn't). Took it to Werkstatte and Andrew figured it out in about 90 seconds in the parking lot. Great customer service and very professional. STOP going to the dealership and overpaying for below average work and have your car taken care of by professionals who care! read more

This goes out to all my L.A. transplants. In L.A. you can find a first rate BMW repair guy that's reasonable and probably close enough (within 30 minutes of your home) without too much trouble. They don't grow on trees but they do exist. I used the same two guys for like 30 years. Both guru types with no helpers. Just BMW fanatics. (Vanik in Tarzana is my go to guy). But Vegas is a different animal. There may be more than one place that's acceptable but I haven't found them yet. So far this is it. You may pay 20% or more than what you were used to in L.A. but you will get the job done right and within an acceptable time frame. At this point I am just glad they are here. Not sure about the new location, but I am happy for them as I am assuming it came from their integrity and hard work. The owner is a personable guy and not a jerk. You can feel confident that the work will be done right. read more

STICKER SHOCK!! I was told about the diagnosis fee, I was NOT told till AFTER the repair when picking up the car that it does NOT go towards the repair. I have been in the car business for 33 years and have NEVER had a repair shop NOT include a diagnosis fee towards the repair. It doesn't matter what the diagnosis is. Even after this, it was MISDIAGNOSED and still has a battery drain! UPDATE: Nothing personal I like Victor but CUSTOMERS should know that BMW Only does NOT APPLY DIAGNOSIS FEES towards repairs and this is NOT CUSTOMARY for Auto Repair shops. read more

I went to their new location to have my engjne oil done and my brake fluid flushed! Sam assisted me thoroughly and was very approachable. This place is a heaven sent for BMW car lovers! Everyone were very professional, and honest. They did an inspection on my car as well for no additional fees. I did ask him questions, and his respond was just WOW! I never felt that he was tryna offer me service just to rip me off, but an advice from someone who cares. Their new location is so fancy and cozy! I had car trouble while in Vegas for the weekend. The worst time for car trouble is on a road trip! Dorman was very empathetic and Andrew went above and beyond. Since I purchased my BMW, I have taken it to Werkstatte for regular oil changes and minor repairs for a couple of years now. They have been fantastic every time. They are very responsive. I recently had my first major repair. They quickly got a diagnostic done and worked with my warranty company which was a huge relief. When I picked my vehicle up, I was provided a detailed explanation of the issue, parts that were replaced, pricing, and what was done to resolve it. I had a electrical issue on my e34 last month which caused a trans program (limp mode) issue to occur. I bought it and left my key in a over night drop box. I called ahead of time to let Victor know the issue. I also let them to know I take off the negative terminal on my battery so that I doesn't drain. I signed off on the diagnostic fee. I had to call several times for updates. I was told that it would be 3 additional hours on top of the one hour I agreed to find the issue. So about $632 on top of repairing said issue along with being told that after 3 additional hours there is no guarantee of finding the issue. Diagnostic fees do not go towards repairs. It sounded like a finesse to me so I said no and I'll just pick it up. So after I pay, the advisor parks it comes out my car with a jump pack and said oh your battery died the tech left it overnight with both terminals attached. A little common sense goes a long way. I go out to leave and surprise surprised my battery is dead. I get a jump start and I'm able to leave. They damaged the trim bezel along with not putting one of trunk struts back together. Not to mention I had to buy a new battery. Any time a dealership or repair shop damages your car and they don't tell you, stay away. I really wanted to make this my place for my repair needs but I'll just have to look elsewhere. read more

I dropped my car off on 2/17/2022 for oil leak problem, they called me on 2/21/22 to say they found the leak and quoted $1900+ to fix it and I could get my car back the next day. I also asked them to change break fluid and the spark plugs while they have the car. Today is 2/27/22 I still don't have my car. I called the first time on 2/23, they said the job was done but needed to drive around to make sure no leak. I stopped in the shop on 2/24 they told me the car is not drivable now and they're looking into it. I called on 2/25 they said they're working on it. The only time they called me was to tell me how much it'd cost to fix the problem, never called me for any update. I've been to this place once and it was just for oil change, I left a very good review. Now I don't know what's going to happen, I'll keep you posted. read more

Dropped car off on Dec 8 for Oil change and tune up. I approved all the work they say needed done, Valve cover and rear struts. (Declined service on fixing a window) they say the work will be done by the following Tuesday or Wednesday the 14th. I travel for work and ask if I can pick the car up on Monday the 18th. Am told this is not a problem. Changed my travel plans to be able to pick up the car today before I have to travel again. I call today and only the oil change is done.... None of the other parts were ever even ordered. I'm not sure which was back ordered in the first place because they had no real explanation as to why they did not do the work. Was the value cover back ordered or the rear struts??? Either way this is Horrible service. And now since I paid for the diagnostic and they choose not to do the other work I just paid like $400 for an oil change!!! Will be looking for a new shop, this place has not been the same since they moved.... I don't get the idea they want to work on older cars. Clearly they choose not to do the work on mine. And they basically charge and act like a dealer at this point. Was told to call Victor to see if he can "do anything"..... So now I'm supposed to call and beg for my car to be serviced and for you guys to do the right thing?!?? Do yourself a favor and don't let this place waste your time or money!!!! read more

Got new brakes/rotors with them on my X3, and one of them continued to squeak (even after 3 weeks of letting them settled in). Took it back, they diagnosed the problem, replaced and pad and rotor for no additional charge; and now there are no more issues. They stand behind their work and they know what they are doing. BMW Only is the SPOT to bring your BMW to for service! I love the customer service and the honest work done by everyone here. Cars are worked on quickly. Pricing is fair. The work done is magnificent. I have had my car serviced several times at BMW Only since moving to Vegas in August 2018. I'm so happy I learned about them through yelp because in August 2018, my car's battery and alternator went out and I had my car towed to the BMW dealer off of Sahara, and we all know how that goes... $1500 later. I wish I would have known about BMW Only prior to going to BMW dealer, but I'm glad I know of them now and rest assured I'll no longer be taking my car for service to the BMW dealer. The ONLY issue I may have with this place is that it is not open on Saturdays or Sundays. But other than that this place is a solid 5 stars. read more

Werstatte BMW Only is THE BEST! The opitome of what customer service should be...a whole new level. Victor and his crew, Andrew, Sam and the service team are fair, honest and accomodating. I've had 14 BMWs, all over the country and these guys are the best, bar none. Last week, I had a frozen bolt on a window regulator (I fix these myself, 5th or 6th one) on my X5 4.8is. Andrew gladly helped and cut the bolt without damage to the glass. I was in/out in 45 minutes, no appointment. GREAT Service!! Thanks guys, you're a credit to the industry and the BMW brand. read more

Finding a good and honest mechanic can be a challenge, but at BMW ONLY not only they know what they are doing but you get great customer service, fair pricing and despite how busy they are they go out of their way to be accommodating. I highly recommend them, Sam(front desk)Victor (Mgr/mechanic) and Yura (mechanic) are the best, I consider BMW ONLY the best kept secret of LAS VEGAS!!! read more

Take my car to that shop due to crankshaft code .. they supposed inspect it and found and suggested engine oil service ( that be done 3 days before) and camshaft sensor ($540dls) and just are starting point to find the issue... That supposed they have frist world scanners to check it . Also when chek my oil filter spill oil all on serpentine belt and all way down to the front engine block . I went back to the office guy and asked abaut engine oil spill his answer has ... " that filter has oil inside if open it is pretty normal to have that oil spill on the engine area " never also in valvoline walmart $50 dls oil service they leaving oil spilled on engine bat or serpentine belt How a shop like that do it ...!! Also ended paying $158 dls just fot nothing just for suggesting oil change and cam sensor !!! read more

I am so thankful I found this place! As a BMW owner, my biggest fear was getting work done on my car. I dreaded the times I have to go to the "stealership". They overcharge for everything! Never again shall I be fooled by them! All thanks to Victor for being accommodating of my needs. I was super worried about my car but he reassured me that he will take care of it and that he'll make sure to get me out of there in no time. They do honest repairs for you and only charge for a reasonable amount. These guys really know their stuff. I highly recommend this place to all BMW owners. read more

I own a 2017 BMW 328d. At 48k miles, the dealership informed me I have a leaking front strut. Because I'm outside of warranty, this would be almost 3k for 2 front struts. Werkstatte installed a complete Bilstein B4 suspension upgrade (front struts and rear shocks), alignment, and oil change for significantly less than that. Werkstatte, and Victor in particular, were honest, upfront, and timely in getting the work done. I will be taking my car here for all future work. read more

Finally, found people who know wtf their doing and NOT charging an arm and leg for BMW repairs! There's all these so-called repair mechanics who don't like touching foreign-make vehicles. This is because most either don't have the equipment or more so the knowledge. BMW Only does! Nowadays, a highly trusted company is a rarity. These guys here are some straight shooters. One of the things I appreciate most about BMW ONLY, is the fact that they don't spend time trying to talk you into additional items like many of the dealer service writers do. They will always point out issues if they find the but they never make you feel pressured into getting a recommend repair. They truly believe in building a relationship with their customers. He said the work I had done at Asian Imports was not properly done. There were gaskets that were supposed to be replaced that I had paid for that were not replaced, grommets that were loose, and lugs that weren't tightened. He said to take it back to Asian Imports because the work they had (or hadn't) done would still be under warranty. I took my car back to Asian imports and showed them the pictures. He eventually found the paperwork and told me the person who had done the work had gotten multiple complaints and was no longer working there. He said I needed to make an appointment. They got me an appointment for 2 days later. I took my vehicle in first thing in the morning and I was told this would take a few hours. At about 3:00, I called them and asked if my vehicle was ready yet. They said it was almost done and they'd call me when it was. About 30 minutes later they called and told me my car was ready. I told them I wouldn't be able to get there until about 30 minutes after they close. They told me they could leave the keys somewhere hidden until I got there. I got there at 6 only to see my car parked behind a locked gate. I ended up being 3 hours late to work the next day. When I got to work I called my mechanic on FaceTime so he could double check the work. Fortunately, this time, they did everything they were supposed to do.

Used my credit card, and was told AFTER being charged that there is a $5.00 processing fee. If I would've been advised, again prior to finalizing the transaction, I would've paid cash. Additionally smogged another car - I have a 2023 truck. They smogged my truck and again, AFTER THE SERVICE, was told that the first 3 years vehicles don't need smog. I would've appreciated that context before the service (that I have to pay) - or just don't say anything at all. Lastly, as I am waiting in the waiting room, a polite man asked what type of oil they use, employee responded rudely, as the customer leaves - employee comments (in front of other customers) "these people want cheap prices and expensive product". A huge assumption on a simple question that was kindly asked. Customer service lacks, I'm sure mechanical services are good but I can't comment on that part of the business.

But this experience? Absolutely not. If this is how they treat someone who is willing to pay for their services, it speaks volumes about their overall character. I've worked in customer service my entire life, and I firmly believe it's not always what you say -- it's how you say it. His condescending attitude was completely unnecessary and honestly disgusting. If you don't want to deal with customers, then get out of the customer service field. Simple as that. Unfortunately, I won't ever consider coming back or recommending. Clearly he didn't value my business which is fine- I took it elsewhere.

Independent shops are usually reliable as they live and die by their reputation, but often times they can be hit and miss. I can only speak from my experience but I can report to you that Dave's Auto Repair is the real deal. The shop is owned and run by Armando and his family (Armando bought it from Tim, the former owner, and Dave used to run the shop). Armando knows cars, and more importantly, he knows how to treat people right. His prices were competitive or better than other quotes I got, and he didn't try to upsell me on unneccesary repairs. He did give me a heads up on a few things to keep an eye on, which I appreciated, and he even threw in a few freebies which was unexpected and much appreciated. What's also nice is that most independent shops are only open M-F but Dave's is also open on Saturdays, which makes it convenient for those with work/school during the week. I'm very happy with my experience at Dave's and it gives me piece of mind knowing that I have a great mechanic I can take my car(s) to from now on.

The manager reached back out to me He tell me my car was sent back to another shop so they sent my car somewhere else without my permission Wow then he says there was some clothes inside the car which there talking about my towels I use to wipe my car down which has nothing to do with my tools missing inside my trunk which he never mentioned how there going to replace them so that's a loss on my end then he says he can check my sunroof but doesn't promise any fixes on there what's the point then just want me to waste my gas this place is very in professional at the end of the day I took the loss I just want people to know they take your car to other shops without you permission you don't know who's working on your car at that point then they take tools cause he why not have back ups and they disconnect wires and don't connect them back when expecting who knows could've been the shop they sent it to with out my permission Nd I have his response here this is from victor . No I'm sorry Victor my car never came from another shop stop lying and admit that your team stole my tools and didn't connect my sunroof back or Drive sport I figured that out was a loose wire your shop was looking for loose wire so it's no surprise that some wires would come apart and you can say what you want I have proof of what your saying that's why I hope this post and pictures help customers in the future if they won't fix my simple problem what makes you think they'll fix something serious if it was up to me I wouldn't send my cars here go to the actual place these guys are not professionals. read more

Hands-down the best automotive repair experience I've ever had. I had an issue with my BMW and Victor's shop was recommended. Immediately he explained to me the options we had for repairs with all the trade-offs (mechanical, long-term/short-term, and financial) and a timeline for repairs. They only used OEM BMW parts in their repair and despite it being a large job, they completed it within a week (estimate was longer). Additionally, they identified another issue that they fixed free of charge (fuel injector). Throughout the entire repair process Victor and his team were helpful and communicative. They made sure I understood everything they did and even went so far as to physically show me in the shop. Victor joined me for my test drive after picking up the vehicle and I asked him about a longstanding strange sound which NO OTHER MECHANIC every acknowledged was an issue and he immediately knew what was wrong and offered to fix it. I intend on trading this vehicle in for a newer BMW and he lastly offered a free checkup on my new vehicle. He has also since the repair (2 weeks ago) done a couple of check-ins to see how everything is going. Excellent customer service and top notch expertise! read more

Being from Europe I was shocked how many mechanics are just trying to rip you off here,BMW ONLY impresses me every time, I bring vehicle for oil change and they do complimentary inspection, write down on my invoice every issue my BMW has and pricing for each item,besides that they dont make you feel uncomfortable to try to get a sale,they just simple explain this item is very important or critical to keep your vehicle running and these items you can wait on. This way I know what am I going to expect in the next year or repairs and at some point you might think to get a new BMW if this one causing to many problems. They'll advice you if you should not spend any money on this one and consider upgrade. Being a woman I don't know much about cars. These guys are very patient and take the time to explain what need to be done and how things work. They also always keep your old parts and show u exactly what needs to be replaced! They are always honest and have gave me a MUCH better price then other repair shops. They will not tell you to replace things you don't need to, but will warn you to pay close attention to things that will need work soon, also will explain how critical it will be if not replaced on time! I took my I3 to BMW Only to try and save some money on a drivers side mirror replacement. Months later I noticed the door handle was loose. I didn't like how BMW Only took care of my car so I went to the dealer and hoped for the best. The repair was not done correctly, and there clips missing from inside the door and it needs a new door track. The quote from the dealer to fix. $1359. Stay way from BMW Only, dealers are pricey but it will be done right. ###***UPDATE***### They took a look at the door and the issue is "ONE" screw that holds the whole handle on can't be tightened. So BMW dealer wanted $1,356 when its one screw?? BMW Only is taking care of the issue and handled it great! read more

Recently purchased a 2008 328i. On day 31 of ownership I noticed a problem with the battery and the main top coolant hose burst. I limped the vehicle to BMW Only at nearly 4:55 PM on a Thursday. They showed me the damaged hose and had it replaced in 45 minutes. Their battery test came up 'bad', but recommended I bring the car back only if the warranty expired for the battery. No charge for the battery test and reasonable for the repair work for a BMW. Will bring my other car in for repairs here as well. Thanks guy!!! read more

I have been a loyal customer of BMW Only (Victor and Victor) for over 8 years. I have a 2011 BMW right now, and previous to that, a 2002 BMW.
