I had a big water issue from a recent remodel and the entire time we speculated it came from drainage. After several visits to isolate the problem Brandon and Arran had a different theory...maybe the issue isn't a drain issue after all. They traced the problem to water softener as the glue seal wasn't fully set but that didn't really explain why there was so much water leaking and they weren't satisfied yet. The investigated other possibilities and asked me to turn on my AC, once I did that, gallons and gallons of water started flowing and turns out that it isn't a plumbing issue but rather, an HVAC issue. They both spent multiple days and hours diagnosing the problem and were not satisfied until they found the problem. Arran assured me that he's not giving up until he located the source and I commend them both for being diligent, honest, and thinking outside of the box!!! I had a clog in my bathroom sink…read more had VIP sewer come out to do a snake but the associates came in so hot right out the gate on blatant upsells and "issues" that could not be resolved with just a snake. even so far to point out that there's teflon tape on the pipes that can't be replaced / they don't the specialty tape... TEFLON tape?! hahaha i ain't stupid. once they snaked and was not able to get through, they said that the next step was to find the clog in the wall open the wall cut out the pipe and replace (a 1.5k+ job) i asked if there were any other options like hydro-jetting or such and they said hydro jetting would spew out everywhere not able to be done second floor i did my due diligence and called a few contractors that knew plumbers that werent on yelp a guy came in the next day, hydro-jetted the clog out in 30 minutes without needed to do any of the above, and only charged me $60 lol beware of the upsell! + though, since they did not get the clog out they did not charge me, just off putting on the blatant upsell. the owner seemed nice though.

The patch work was not part of the contract but set us up with one to get the patch work complete. My only recommendation for future would be to remind customers it is not included so that the patch work can be scheduled ahead to happen shortly after work is complete. Although, the patchwork was only a few days after. We just covered up the outside holes until someone came. Noted a couple of issues that popped up shortly after work was done, but they came back and fixed it right up. Overall, a pleasant experience, good value, and would recommend them.

The Yelp reviews for Carlson Plumbing were fantastic, and the service absolutely lived up to them. Not only were they able to come within the hour from my call, but the pricing was almost half of what I was quoted by several other companies. Gilbert and Logan were friendly, helpful, and quickly replaced the leaking valve and got our water back on in no time. They even offered to help move the refrigerator into its designated spot, which was definitely not part of their scope and very appreciated (we ended up declining, but the offer alone said a lot). They also pointed out a secondary water shut off we had completely forgotten about. Also worth mentioning, this was the only place I called where I actually reached the office and not a call service. I can't remember her name, but she was incredibly helpful and honestly saved us by getting someone out so fast, especially since we were without water at both our house and our attached rental.
