It's amazing that a well established bagel company is stuck in the year they were founded.. 1947 to be exact. How can a place that has been around for over 75 years only accept cash or check, especially during a global pandemic when handling cash is probably not the best idea. Thankfully though, they did have a dinky little ATM inside that you can use to get cash with a kind $3 fee charge, bringing a mediocre bagel with cream cheese to $7+. Oh and not to mention, the majority of the customers this morning needed to use the ATM to get cash (since we walked back into the 1940's) and the machine wasn't being cleaned in between uses. Very COVID19 friendly. Last but not least, I ordered a bagel with cream cheese but it was more like cream cheese with a bagel. The amount of cream cheese that was on my bagel was enough to spread generously across at least 3 bagels. Gross. I am actually very surprised this company has multiple locations and has been around for so long. I am glad I was able to try them out this morning and confirm that Noah's is the best corporate bagel shop in LA. read more

5 Stars because after twenty five years the pizza bagel here has not changed, now that's an accomplishment because most great things change for the worse but not this time! The sweet thick pizza sauce with hints of oregano and the hardened baked blanket of cheese holds the sauce in, its moist, it's chewy and it's a sinful carb worth cheating for...Just do it! This location brings one of the best memories of buying half a dozen everything bagels with a tub of fresh cream cheese. Afterwards, we'd stop at the airport and watch the motorized planes and helicopters fly by on the benches. One main reason for me coming to SF valley besides work, is to stop at a Western Bagel. There has really been no other bagel shop comparable or bagels who can make anything close to their recipe. The only one less star is for the staff at this location. They aren't so friendly or do they greet you with kindness or crack a smile with any customer who walks in. There also nowhere to sit or hang out. This review is about questionable customer service instead of the famed bagels. One bad apple can spoil the bunch in 60 seconds -- for the first time in 45 years I'm turned off by the company. Good clerk; mediocre manager. I tried this main location on Sepulveda today, but once I finished my order (toasted bagels and bagged bagels) the cashier reminded me I couldn't use credit. That's understandable but I was caught without cash off guard and used their in-store ATM per the cashiers advisement. In Covid, cash has been frowned upon and I wasn't prepared. She directed me to use the ATM and I was charged $3 plus $2 from my bank. I asked the cashier kindly if there's anything she could throw in to my order, since I was just hit for $5 -- a free plain bagel perhaps (on top of my toasted bagels and bagged bagels I'd ordered), or anything kind, on top of my order -- anything. She said "no." The young retail manager girl also said "no" and seemed happy to let me decline my purchase and abandon my bagged bagels and already toasted bagels with cream cheese. Why lose a sale over a day-old bagel? As a business owner myself, I wonder why they'd rather let customers walk away rather than doing a kind gesture for the wasted lost $5 on an ATM they likely profit from in one way or another. I'm wondering if that's good practice to encourage wasted food, a sale is lost, and tossed toasted bagels, since I left empty handed and a little disappointed in the loss of $5. I'd have thrown in the token, plain bagel and carried on with the sale. It's one thing to not accept cash; it's another to shank your customers. I don't get any regular bagels when I go.....I get the everything cheese one It has onions...and cheese...and when warmed up it is quite scrumptious 8) The prices are kinda high just for bagels... The regulars are 90 cents each The cheese are $1.20 each Cream Cheese another $1.30 or so My cheese bagel with some cream cheese was like $2.50 A sliced tomato can be SO GOOD inside the bagel too. Chewy, but toasty topped with good cheese and spicy jalapeños and then shmeared with jalapeño cream cheese is just perfection. I love the idea of 24/7 bagel. Since I live in the valley, this place is very convenient. Everything is made fresh and they have a large selections of bagels to choose from. Quick and hospitable service. I usually get mine toasted with either garlic or regular cream cheese and cup of coffee. Makes driving on the 405 more enjoyable. Also, bagels are a better alternative choice then donuts and more healthy for you (except cream cheese). Just remember they only take cash. read more

The fresh bagels and muffins from here are always incredible. The pastrami sandwich is to die for. One of the last 24 hour locations for good food in the San Fernando valley. The cinnamon crunch one sounds odd for a bagel, but that one was soooo good. I ate it at home with butter on it- delicious. They have different flavored cream cheeses that they sell as well. This is for the van nuys western bagel. I've been coming here for 40 years and for the last I'd say 6 months I've always noticed the rudest employee. Her name is Geraldine. She is rude rude rude!!! Today there was a line with about 7 people in it with two people working their butts off while Geraldine was half way in the door into the back chatting with other employees. She would come back to check the coffee machine and walk back to chat with the other employees. It is like this every time I come in. Never willing so help out. Love their bagels, esp for garlic lovers their garlic bagels and delish. Have been going to this spot for a few years now since it's nearby, and they never fail to impress me. I'd have to say I'll give them 1 star off because it's CASH or CHECK only, and they don't have lox. I think they might have a cream cheese with some lox in it, but I like to have a good amount of lox in mine. This review is long overdue! Everything I've ever had from hers is bomb. What makes it even better is the customer service. I'm so particular with my food. My friend picked us up bagels from there and they got the order incorrect. I was able to bring the bagels back and they were able to fix the sandwiches. Loved how accommodating they were! So this is why I usually go to the Western Bagel in Northridge on Plummer rather than this location on Sepulveda Boulevard. Today I went to the Sepulveda one as it was on my way to Costco. I always ask for the onion bagels to be medium color on top. So I say I don't want it too light but I don't want too dark. The employees at the Northridge store always get it right. Today at the Sepulveda store I said the same thing to the guy. Well maybe this guy's idea of not too dark is way off from mine, but as you can see from the photo the bagels were really dark. I don't like them too dark that's why I specifically asked not too dark and not too light. I didn't actually look at the bagels because I was getting the cream cheese. I guess I will have to check every time I come to the Sepulveda. On the plus side, the guy was nice. The employees tend to be very nice and I like the cream cheese. read more

***Large group to go orders beware*** Well this is bad. I am thankful they are AT LEAST open 24 hours. I came here at around 3:00pm on a Saturday to place an order for pickup the next day at 6:30am, (a Sunday). It was a large group order, so a bunch of Bagels, cream cheeses, & coffee. I then paid and left- and yes, I did this IN person- face to face with a non robot...or so I thought... FFWD to Sunday- I came to pick up my order and not only was it NOT ready, the order taker wasn't there and never initiated the order to BE there assembled for me at pick up. If you DEPEND on them to do their job so YOU can cater your event that folks paid money to attend and demanding to be fed these bagels and coffee- proceed with caution and make sure to arrive a good half hour earlier that your scheduled pick up time. They even treated me like poop when I asked for a discount due to their super sucky mistake. The order taker had my order printed on their order pad that prints duplicates... it's not like scribbled on a napkin- but they still lost it. This was my first time going here - just on a whim looking for a quick breakfast spot nearby The place is small but don't let that fool you because the selection of bagels is huge. This is more of a Grab-N-Go place to eat, since there are no places to eat. Also, parking lot is very small. Also, always bring cash because they don't take cards.
