I liked that I was also able to get a side of ranch (ken's steakhouse dressing is better than hidden valley brand). Was passing by this little shop, almost a kisok, so tiny, and they were passing out samples of something, my curiosity couldn't resist and turns out it was a cinnamon sweet something or other, which I'm not a huge sweet palate kinda person. Bought one of their basic salted pretzels which is huuuuge--but exactly what I wanted, soft on the inside and just a bit crusty/crunchy outside, and not tlike the packaged hard Snyders pretzels. Of all bay area location and including the one in Livermore Outlet, this is by far the best due to consistency. Pretzels always come out fresh and warm, never burned. If you get the petite Hispanic lady, she'll include a little shake of the sea salt in your original Wetzel bitz (shareable or not, it's up to  you to share the goodness!). Not too many employees will shake the sea salt into the bag to be evenly spread like this location does. Not surprised why this location can run out of wetzel bitz by mid-day or early afternoon. The food is really good. Whether I go with my friends, by my self or with my family I always have a good experience with the food. One to thing I do remember is that the lady who worked for Service was making my order of Pretzel BITZ and Lemonade separate. And I was in a rush so she only gave me my food but not the drink so then I had to ask for the drink again but after that there hasn't been any bad experiences. There never seems to be any scenes or crazy stuff in wetzel it's just a chill spot to get some tasty pretzels. Cute little Pretzel place inside the Westfield Valley fair mall. Delicious Pretzels and great service. Stopped here last week to buy the pretzel Nuggets, but they ran out of it. Why would anyone give this place 3-star reviews is besides me, but that's their opinion which doesn't reflect on my own experience. I would justify my review by saying that I've been a frequent customer of their pretzels and I must say it's a must for me to buy these (along with some Sharetea around the corner) to reward a long day of walking around the mall. I'm a frequent buyer of their bitz (and sometimes cinnabitz) probably for the past 11 years or so already and I'm forever a fan. Eating their bag of bitz just plain, no dipping sauce, just they way they are, especially when they've pulled them out of the oven is just heaven. I love the consistency of their dough (soft, not dry like that nasty Auntie Anne's on the other end of the mall). Some may say and argue that a pretzel should have a chewy texture on the outside, little soft and dry on the inside, but I'm a bread guy and that's not the way I like to have my bread; I like my bread to be soft, warm and not rock-hard, dry or chewy. Now you know that soft, warm bread is my achilles heel. I'm old-fashioned and usually stick to something I love; maybe I'll open-up and finally try one of their pizza pretzels or the ones wrapped around mini hot-dogs one of these days. That should provide an interesting update to my next review. What I don't like about their pretzels sometimes is when they accidentally burn the bottoms of the bitz, which I found them do a few times. If ever you get a bag of bitz in which the bottom sides were found to be slightly burnt, by all means take it back and have them replace it. I believe that's stated on the receipt. Some folks complained here that they're overpriced, but remember this; this is the mall and minimum wage is already in the double-digits. Factor that in, including space rent, utilities and wages and that pretty much justifies the cost of their pretzels. I hope that will shed some light to many here. If minimum wage was still at $5 like it was back in the mid 90s, then maybe your pretzels would be less than half the price they are now. read more

YUM!!!! I don't get why this place has gotten so many bad reviews. I was there in the evening a few days ago. I was the only person there aside from one guy. The guy who rang me up was a little slow, but not to the point to where it got to be to annoying. At least he asked me if I wanted a bag which was nice. The pretzel tasted like it was fresh out of the oven. I got the plain one with salt and butter on it and a bottle of water. It was fresh, soft, and hot. I ate it all before I went home. I hadn't had a pretzel in a very long time and I didn't have much to eat that day, so I was hungry. It didn't quit fill me up, but it took the edge of some of my hunger. I was in a hurry to go home and watch Master Chef, so I didn't have the time to get a full meal there. These pretzels are as good as Auntie Anne's pretzels on the second floor there IMHO. read more

RUDE WORKERS!!! (not the cart, the one near Sanrio) I like to get the Wetzel Bits. Whenever I am at Stonestown, I get the bits half plain and half Cinnamon. This place didn't get me the option to do this, so that's fine - whatever. But the manager is such a dick head! Why? He tells me how much it is, but doesn't include tax, $3.79. When I looked at the screen, $4.14. So I just give the ass a $5. He gives me back my change. So I said, "I thought you said it was $3.79." Unhealthy, overpriced pretzels.. no matter what anyone says if I have an extra $5 I'm getting some pretzel heaven! Wetzel's Pretzels is by far my favorite pretzel franchise. They offer a wide selection of pretzels such as, pizza flavored, jalapeño, regular, cinnamon, etc. Along with all their flavors they also offer a wide selection of dipping sauces and delicious sugary lemonades to wash it all down. I love their cute bite sized pretzels because they are easier to eat, don't make a huge mess, and can be shared amongst a group. Auntie Anne's has a truly fantastic recipe, but it's hit or miss as to whether you'll get a fresh enough one. Wetzel's on the other hand, has a pretty great trick: they apply butter and salt to the pretzel only _after_ you order it. SOLD ME EXPIRED DIPPING SAUCE. 1 Month old!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! A few days ago, I got a pretzel with caramel sauce and after a few bites, I carefully looked at the dip and noticed the consistency wasn't right. So, I check the expiration date and it was dated for 5/3/10! WTF disgusting!! I was so mad that I made my way back to the Wetzel's Pretzel's to make a complaint. The girl working there was so rude and careless. I asked her why she would sell expired food and she shrugged and said "I don't know." She was dumbfounded. She just stared at me and didn't say anything, not even an apology! I asked for her manager, whose name is Julio. He wasn't there, so I asked for a number. The girl said there wasn't a store phone or anything. Are you serious? She was so unhelpful and stupid! She gave me the corporate number and when I asked her for her store number, she didn't even know what it was. The girl still stood there and just looked at me, all clueless. They won't give you a cup of water with your purchase. I bought the pretzel bites and asked for a cup of water, and the lady said 'we only sell bottled water.' So, to be clear, I said 'You don't have tap water you could put in a cup?'. She mumbled something about only having a soda fountain and no tap water. That tells me that they need to be inspected by the County because they're not washing their hands. This is not the first time I've been denied water at this Wetzel pretzel. Guy at register was hella rude. Walked up there and no greeting by him or the girl next to him for a good 5 seconds. He was talking in Spanish to the girl and I was just staring at him and the girl for a bit. She then greeted me and asked me what I wanted. Mind you, he was right in front of me and she was on the side behind the glass display of pretzels. I ordered and he was still talking in Spanish to the other girl. He told me the total but I had 2 seconds at least to wonder if he was even going to tell me the price, especially because the price did not show up on the register where I was looking. Wetzel's Pretzels wins in the fight with Auntie Anne's as the best mall pretzel. Wetzel's just makes a much thicker pretzel, with better flavor as well. Their sundried tomato and pesto didn't have that much pesto and their sundried tomato was a little burned but it was still good enough to tide me over until dinner. The cinnamon sugar, almond crunch, pepperoni, and jalapeno cheese are also very good. Their mango granita is good, though it can get really icy after a while...then it becomes almost impossible to drink. But it does pair well with the salty pretzels. Overall, my pick for the ideal snack while walking around a mall. They're not perfect, but they are better than Auntie Anne's. read more

I love Wetzel's Pretzel's Cheese Dogs. They are my favorite. I will always wait for them if they're still in the oven. I read the other reviews for this location and I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing bad customer service yet...hope i never do. I'm sure I'd speak up if i encountered rude behavior tho. There was a time I got there before it even opened...and the girl was making the pretzels still. I asked her what time they opened and if they'd have cheese dogs ready...she said yes! I've always had a soft pretzel from Wetzels and I love that they put the topping on when you order it cause you still have yummy sugary-butter on it when you eat it. My favorite is the almond crunch but my boyfriend loves the sinful cinnamon. I like the cherry lemonade too! The salespeople have always been super nice too so that makes it even better! read more

Wetzel's Pretzels are seriously the BEST pretzels & wins over any other ones like Auntie Annes, Pretzelmaker etc.... its just way higher quality in taste, flavors, and its much thicker & softer than others! I also like the design & look of the stores~ it reminds me of disneyland (maybe b/c they are in disney) and it always looks fun to eat~! i am addicted~! some of my favorites are the original, sun-dried tomato & pesto, sinful cinnamon & pepperoni. i heard they got the Hawaiian pretzels now but too bad i didnt get to taste it yet...i'll just have to wait until they open at the Ala Moana Center soon~!!! read more

This Wetzel's specifically deserves 0 stars! I got ripped off! My friends and I ordered 3 large sodas and they were all priced differently! ($5.00, $3.49, $4.29) What a rip off! Also, the customer service was absolutely horrible! They should hire people who actually enjoy working instead of frowning and mumbling every 2 minutes. The people there are rude and they didn't even give us a receipt for our order! I came here today, while shopping at Valley Fair Mall, to buy a hotdog but I changed my mind after I watched one of the ladies take a white rag to remove the moisture on the dough before it went into the oven. The nasty part is that she threw the rag onto the sink area by the basin. Who knows what else she uses that rag for, maybe to wipe the counters?? It completely disgusted me to watch that. read more
