This "restaurant" is a complete joke. Lackluster food was matched with much less than appropriate customer service. Ordered some food for my daughter and a UFO burger for myself. The price said "with bacon and cheese 8.99" on the menu and I noticed I was charged an extra dollar after paying. When I brought that up to the girl at the counter, she told me that the menu was a typo. I asked her why I couldn't get my food at the price advertised and she shrugged her shoulders and said "...new business." Being in the business for 15 years I haven't encountered such amateur guest service before and if I read this for one of the places I've run in the past I would either retrain or replace that employee. It was just a dollar and I didn't make a big deal out of it, however I don't think a place with food so below average that it's basically McDonalds for three times the price should nickel and dime/rip off their potential regular customers. I'm sure they think they can get away with this because they depend on the tourist walkins this time of year. A great little burger spot in Flagler Beach, has the potential to be great but fell short on this visit.The tater tots were fantastic, fries and onion rings were good too. My kids and husband liked their burgers however my burger was burnt and over cooked. It also really bugged us that the cashier who also delivered our food to our table wasn't wearing a face mask. People here don't seem to take COVID and COVID precautions seriously. read more

We tried Whaam Burger for the first time tonight. The burgers were awesome, a little messy but they give you plenty of napkins. The tater tots are the crispiest I have ever had. Overall, I give the food 5 stars. So why did I only give Whaam 3 stars? I paid for our meals on a credit card. The girl at the counter ran my card and finished inputting the information for the transaction on a notepad kind of device. However, when she handed the device to me instead of being presented with the transaction information to verify prior to signing, the touch screen had 3 boxes asking for a tip amount; 15%, 20%, or 25% with an option to input a different amount. Mind you, this is McDonalds style counter service! I felt obligated to leave something so I left $3 and left feeling kind of intimidated into tipping. There was a large Tip jar on the counter that I otherwise probably would have left $1 for good counter service. Had I not been intimidated into tipping an exorbitant amount for counter service, Whaam would definitely have gotten 5 stars from me. We'll return but will be wary about the tipping procedure on the next visit. read more

Don't waste your time or money. Burgers are overpriced and just mediocre. Cheese was .50 extra and so small could not taste. Tomato was so thin added no flavor . UFO burger had everything on it and was a mess to eat with all the flavors overlapping. $5 order of fries was no more than normal order elsewhere. read more

"Worst experience ever. They crammed a hamburger in my wife's purse!!!! Ordered a hamburger 03/06/21 6:30 pm and never received it. After 1/2 hour went up to counter and it was sitting back there. I asked why it was back there and the girl said "I called your name and went looking for you but didn't find you." I said "you never came and looked for me." She said she would warm it up, so I waited 15 minutes and went back to the counter, she said she had to make a new one. I said "I thought you were just warming it up?" She said "I didn't tell you that." We left the restaurant very frustrated without the food, and my wife forgot her purse. We went back a few minutes later to get it and they had crammed the hamburger into her purse!" Jalapeño BBQ sauce grilled onions the burger was cooked perfect (thanks tom) girl at the front let me know they have tater tots and they were cooked perfect nice and crunchy, the burger reminds me of a chain I love, 5 guys and that's a huge compliment because they do it right and so does WAAM! Soft enough burgers to the point when I can eat one half of the burger in my mouth and can chew it then swallow easily compared to most burgers I've ate. Pretty good tasting burgers also. read more

Wow! What a great place!! Directly across the street from the Flagler Pier, with colorful adirondack seating out front to people watch, this darling diner is a must. Immaculate and CUTE on the inside, with friendly and helpful staff. A plus was. "Beatles" radio over the sound system. The burgers are fresh and the buns are awesome, and the french fries are shoestring and wonderful. Can't say enough about this place. They also have a "special sauce". :). This is a great burger joint. We have three boys and they throughly enjoyed their cheeseburgers, fries and Whaam sauce. The prices were reasonable, around fifty dollars for a family of five. We also enjoyed the artwork, we left with several memorable photos. read more

Brand new burger joint in Flagler Beach. I took my girls out for a treat and decided to give this place a try, plus I had a "coupon" from one of the local ads. To start, the restaurant was really clean(even the kitchen which is always nice). The art on the walls was very creative and fun. They even had an old-school arcade game. I went in hoping for a burger that would remind me of WA. Also, i try to keep expectations low considering Flagler and Volusia aren't exactly culture and cuisine meccas. Everything was so much better than I expected. I figured, them being new and all, to be slow getting the food out or to mess one or two things up...plus I only saw 2 employees and about 4 groups of customers. However, the food was out in a flash. Everything was fresh and tasted great and was as ordered. Not to mention a great deal. We all had double cheeseburgers, some with bacon, and the must have "totchos". Whaam Burger is an unexpected source of great casual food and pop art. We had the sliders and a fish sandwich at our table and found them both to be very fresh and flavorful. Crispy fries completed our quick meal by the beach. We asked to speak to the cook and Michael was pleased to talk to us about the freshness of the fish and the house made sauces on the sandwich.
