Tried the chicken tenders. They were either burnt or fried in burnt grease or over cooked. Took them back to the counter. The next batch had a minute left on them, looked the same way. Told the girl I can't eat them in that condition. The shift lead saw the burnt tenders, no one apologized for the food. I requested the old trusty #1 hamburger sandwich, that was ok. Good thing it was not a To Go order Or multiple chicken tender order for the family. This is in reference to your round rock, tx store (#528) and the employee Stephanie that was working the drive thru speaker. This employee has a piss poor attitude towards all customers. She was able to make the lady in front of me, myself, and the person behind me all irate. All three of us were already yelling into the speaker because she asked us to speak up, once I suggested it was her microphone/speaker and not the customer since it had happened twice already... she got severely rude and told me that I was just going to have to yell. Very unprofessional. When I got to the window, everything on the receipt taped to the bag was right... but the order on the inside was wrong. Also, I was refused a transactional receipt (go figure) to reach out to the specific store or complete survey.... imagine that. I have attached the "order receipt" along with what I actually got. I was looking for a quickie and remembered the Whataburger place near by, so I zipped right over. What, you say what? Only one car in line wow, hurry up and get in that line. Most of the time lots of cars are in line and it takes awhile to get through the drive thru window! I ordered the double meat patty, I will call it a whopper, fries and drink, it came out quick and was hot. Today the burger, and fries were good, I ate them in the near by parking lot. The burger even had ooze, lucky for me most of the time they are well, well done! I have been before and the quality is sometimes good and sometimes disappointing but today was good. My wife and I recently moved to Austin. We heard a lot of things about Whataburger... Commercials, word of mouth, etc. We decided to go to this location tonight and our experience was horrific. It was literally hellish. The staff was friendly, but unaware and nearly untrained. There was a lot of joking around... (I saw the cashier doing a hip thrust to his friend while bagging some food). Not to mention nobody was wearing gloves, and the same cashier coughed into his bare hands before preparing more food. You think that's bad? The worst part was the bugs. Crickets EVERYWHERE. It was like a horror movie. We walked in and stopped at the bathrooms, but my wife had to use the men's bathroom because crickets were lining the walls and floor in the women's. There were at least 10 dead crickets easily visible from the counter as we ordered, and we found more and more as we waited, got drinks, etc. Oh yeah and the crickets were literally falling from the ceiling onto the booths and once into a man's tray. We saw this happen multiple times. We both feel sick to our stomachs (my wife had to wait in the car while I waited for food) and hope this burger is worth the torture. This location can be out of control for wait times practically anytime. It's open 24/7 and I've found that going inside to order will be the way to go in the future. They have a double-lane drive-thru for peak times, but it still can take 20+ minutes to order and receive your food. The problem came up that the people in the drive-thru behind us got their food before us, so they were stuck. Our order came to our car a few minutes later, and the onion rings were piping hot, but the burger had been made much earlier, so it was starting to get cold and soggy. It was 5pm on Friday night when we needed a quick bite to eat. We saw the sign on I35, but be warned the Whataburger sign is past the actual location. We got into the line to order, this location has two lines for ordering. We placed our order, a young lady was handing the outside lane and came up to our car to take our funds. We were able to request spicy ketchup from this young lady since we forgot to ask the person that took our order. There were 5 cars ahead of us, but we ordered and waited 5 minutes to receive our food. That was pretty good for a Friday night at dinner time. I ordered the special limited time Pico de Gallo burger. It is a double patty burger with pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese, and a cilantro lime sauce. The burger is not pretty to look at mainly because it was served pipping hot, YES! It was so pipping hot that the cheese was gooey melted all over the burgers and the mayo slipped out the end of the burger. I actually did not taste the cilantro lime sauce until the very end when I noticed it in the bottom of my wrapper. I tried it, it tasted like mayo with lime added to it. I was actually glad it slipped out. The burger was DELICIOUS. The warm pepper jack and then you get a slight hint of a pico de gallo. It is the perfect burger in my opinion. Great job Whataburger! I am loathe to write a review about a chain fast food restaraunt. Even moreso considering Whataburger usually needs no introduction for what you're getting yourself in to. Who in Texas has never eaten at Whataburger? However, in this case, I am making an exception. I love Whataburger. And it's only fair that I make the following proclimation: You will not find a better Whataburger on earth then the one heading north on I-35 in Round Rock. The food is awesome. Aside from the large burgers (which make McDonald's, Burger King, and similar riff-raff look tiny), they don't skimp on the toppings and the fries are always perfectly seasoned with enough salt to taste great, but not so much that your lips pucker. Even more importantly, the folks working at the Round Rock Whataburger provide fantastic service from start to finish. Extra napkins needed? You bet. Want to switch out your fries for onion rings? No problem. Everything is done with a smile and sincerity that makes you pine for being part of the team in blue on the other side of the counter. To see the enthusiasm and delight in providing great service from this crew, you'd think that they were all part-owners of the establishment. As a note, Whataburger's food usually takes a little longer then other fast food restaraunts, making lunch time a bit troublesome. We visited this location for lunch on a Saturday at 12:30, and chose the drive through. When pulling up, they immediately acknowledged us arriving. As we were placing our order, the man would interrupt and state that he couldn't understand anything we were saying... repeatedly. I read on other's reviews that this was a common issue, so it seems that they need to update their equipment... Let me tell you a story that will blow your mind. I was going to the antique mall right next to this whataburger and then got a carving for fries. As a normal Texan, I look at the whataburger next to the mall and saw happiness when I looked at those orange lines that made a "W". I hopped in my car and drove over to this Whataburger in hopes of finding the light at the end of the tunnel for my fry craving. The drive thru was about 5 cars deep from the menu so any rational person would say "let go inside and it might be faster." I walk into the restaurant and thought it might be 5 mins, max for 2 large fries and 2 large drinks. It took about 5 mins before I even get the order in and for them to take my money. Me and my fiancé put the order in and get the 2 large drink cups and we try to fill our cup with ice. Ice machine isn't working, just like trickle down economics . (Thanks Ronald Reagan) After standing for about 2 minutes, a worker fills up our cups with ice from the back room. (The drive thru ice machine that was on the other side, would've been too simple) we fill up our freshly filled cups with a Texas Classic, DR. PEPPER! Unfortunately, the drink was flat...but that's not the moral of the story. We sit and wait for our fries to come out as a to go order so we can enjoy them after a long day of shopping for 100 year old stuff. We wait for about 15 mins and look at each other and are surprised we haven't been served. We see the people that were behind us get served their full meals before we get served the 2 large fries. While sitting there in confusion, we see a customer sitting at the register and then just throwing his hands up in anger because he sat at the register for around 7 minutes and still wanted attended too. The guy that served us the ice from earlier was standing near the fries and register, just laughing to another co-worker like he just got out of a comedy show. The guy was about 20 years old and looked like the rapper "Jack Harlow," was more than likely stoned out of his mind since he took a detour of 100 steps to get me ice and wasn't able to grab the cash from a paying customer because he was too busy listing to a shitty joke from his co-worker. Once I saw this, I knew we were gonna be waiting a long time for these heavenly fries. About 25 mins in, I move from the table to the front counter to make sure Jack Harlow didn't forget about me and these fries. When I walked up to the area, he claims "we are just waiting on fresh fries." At this point, the people that ordered behind us, are almost done stuffing their face with their burgers and "fresh fried" and wiping their dirty ketchup covered faces and about to leave the restaurant. I wait 10 mins longer (the time for Whataburger fries from bag out of fryer in the oil is 4 mins) and then I finally get my bag of fries. After 35 minutes of waiting for 2 large fries, I was finally headed home. In that time, I was on the verge of learning everything about the Cold War, Vietnam and Iraq.
