I've been to several dozen Whataburgers and this one is by far the worse. Placed an online order and waited in the curbside space for over 45 minutes and never had an employee approach. Left without my order. No refund or cancel option in the app, so I'll contact corporate for a refund. While waiting on no one to show, watched the drive thru line move at a snails pace. You can definitely tell this location doesn't care about working with a sense of urgency. Hell, they probably read these, laugh, and then don't get back to work. Go anywhere else for food. Always a good idea to stop at Whataburger. Did some shopping across the street at the Silver Sands Factory Stores. Wanted to find something to eat that was reasonably priced and tasted great. Cedric helped us with our order and was very accommodating. Food came out quickly and was fresh and hot. Pathetic excuse for management. Chaos and filth. Completely unsanitary. I observed someone pick up a door dash order. He brought it back 20 minutes later and told them it was the wrong order. The guy at the counter just gave it to another door dash delivery guy! God only knows where the food has been much less it was clearly cold by then. Drink cups were sitting on the counter with melted ice. The cups sat there for the entire 40 minutes it took to receive our order. I spoke - KINDLY to the manager and asked how much longer we'd have to wait for our food - after 20 minutes of waiting. She asked for my receipt and took it...never saying a word to me. 15 minutes later I asked for a manager and she told me "can't you see we're busy?" The health dept should come in and see this hot mess. Corporate needs to rescue this craziness. Miramar Beach needs this restaurant and the thing is - if they had good management, they would be one of the most profitable restaurants in the fleet of franchises. This was my first Whataburger experience. I was excited to try it because we don't have them where I'm from, but have heard the hype. I ordered the Whataburger meal. The fries were delicious and better than most fast food fries. The burger was good, but didn't realize it only comes with mustard (my bad for not reading the menu). Not a good experience here. The food was just ok though that's expected of any fast food place, but the worst part was when I went to pay. After waiting over an hour I pull up to the pay window, waited a few minutes and nobody opened it or even came over to get my card so I assumed I needed to pay at the second window. As I'm pulling up I have some guy come out and tell me I need to back up to the first window to pay. There's a huge line of cars behind me so I don't understand how this person thought that was possible. As I explained that I couldn't back up he kept interrupting me and just telling me back up over and over again so I tried! This establishment can absolutely kiss my grits. We visited from up North and a group of us all wanted to try Whataburger for the first time. We ordered online because there was alot of us (about $200 worth of food). Well we decide to run to the grocery store across the street and about an hour and a half passed from when we ordered our food. We get there and 4 of us approach the pick up counter. We were standing there for 10 mins before someone finally approached us. My first question, why was there only one person working the cash register? This establishment is located in a very dense tourist area. It's not breaking news when it gets really busy. We placed 5 orders separate (different cards) all under the same name. The man at the register, Cedric B, insisted that there was only 4 orders and ignored us because he "had customers in line." Well, what the hell are we? We just ordered $200 worth of food, so we are expecting that you treat us like everyone else and help us figure out why your computer is only showing 5. At that point in time, Cedric was being rude and our patience was getting really slim. Earlier that day, we encountered some rude tourists that were harassing us. Our day was absolutely down the gutter and we were all drained. We wanted food and tried to enjoy the rest of the night. We were all tired and did not have the energy to pick a fight with this guy. We called the manager that was working the line and explain everything that happened. She was calm and collect even though it was obvious that she was panicking and trying to maintain order of business. She finally confirmed that she had the 5th order and continued to go back to the kitchen and help out. She was polite and patient. Meanwhile, Cedric B was popping jokes, and claiming that "corporate" stopped by earlier and congradualted him on such wonderful customer service. He was getting really mouthy with us and I was getting my bubble popped. He also decided to walk around the restaurant and try to talk to everyone and make side comments about us. He caused a scene big enough for the people around us to see. Someone later came up and told us how long they've been waiting for their food (over an hour) and how annoying/rude this guy has been the entire time. News to you buddy, I worked in an scratch kitchen establishment for a hot minute. I know my ins and outs of the service industry and food prep. This isn't my restaurant or my employees (sure hope to God I never have such incompetent employees) so I couldn't tell him to do his damn job. You really can't make this stuff up people! I try to be as considerate as possible to all service workers because I've been there! But at a certain point, you need to know when you are in the right and in the wrong. Wow. This place is beyond trashy (see my photos if you need proof). I realize it's busy season here so I downloaded the app and placed an online order. Set it so I would pick it up in 35 minutes. Plenty of time. I was so wrong. When I arrived, they hadn't even started my order yet. It was a mess inside. They were telling people "it will be 30 minutes after you order until you receive your food". At a fast food restaurant! Unbelievable! So thought we'd try Whataburger for something cheaper to eat while on vacation. Had heard of them before but as we are from Ohio had never tried one. Ordered ahead on the app got confirmation order would be ready between 5:40-5:45. Arrived at Whataburger at 5:41 and was promptly attended to by staff. However order was not ready until 6:18. The drive through took 40 minutes. I have NEVER in my life waited that long at any fast food restaurant. If my kids were not insistent on eating here I would have left 35 minutes ago.
