Ouch, this is going to hurt. I was in for Cinco de Mayo last month and we had an outstanding time: Great customer service vibe, great specials, and music good. I came last night (6/1) with friends (first time for them). I notice right away the good vibe was missing, the waitress seem new and did not look at us or smile (this is on the Mgr). With some training, I think she will do very well. The killer for us was that we order about 7 and we left when no meal arrived at 8. The cafe did comp our drinks and we appreciate that. What could have been done differently? 1. Let us know that the meal is going to be late, things happen. 2. When the meal was 30 minutes late, bring us free chips and salsa. Worst experience I've ever had here in the 4 years I've been going here. They first brought out half our orders completely wrong. The manager came out after we send there was molding on my daughters strawberry that she even said tasted nasty so the server took it and a manager came out with it asking where on the strawberry was mold and I went to grab it to show him the strawberry was wet and he had whipped it off making an excuses about how it had that on it from a blackberry?? We chose this place for Mother's Day specifically for a vegan option for breakfast but were very disappointed. They cut their menu in half and eliminated all vegan options from their menu. The English muffin was too thick and disproportionately cut. This made me taste more of the bread than anything else. The hollandaise sauce wasn't bad but there wasn't enough of it to coat the entirety. The avocado toast was spread with a very thin layer of avocado. Nothing amazing. The beef patty was seasoned decently. For some reason, I was expecting a beef patty like the ones served with French toast. That was my own misconception. Nothing really bad to say about the beef patty or the egg over easy. The egg yolk was runny just the way I like it. Would I order here again? Probably not. We were super disappointed. Food was not very good. We witnessed a whole chili bunch fall on a table/lady-which was totally an accident and I do not fault anyone for that. However, multiple servers either walked right by or stood and stared. A server was mopping the floor right next to us as we were eating. The mimosa flight was warm. We've tried all during covid to help support our hands down favorite restaurant. We're usually the first people in and a cleaner place there could not be. Such a wonderful staff, and the food is beyond amazing. Favorites are definitely the delicious English muffins and bacon! These are unlike any English muffins I've ever had. A nice breakfast/brunch spot close to home. It's been open for a little over a year but I have not tried it until yesterday because of my limited breakfast options due to my dairy intolerance and egg sensitivity. I was immediately interested in trying them out.They were open on Labor Day doing normal hours. My husband and I arrived at around 12:30pm. Place was full, only one high table was left inside so we took it. Waitress introduced herself and offered us drinks. I noticed that the menu we received did not have the vegan/veg options so I asked her and it turned out to be a separate menu so if you're interested, ask for it. She gave us a few min and returned to ask us if we had any questions and take our order. She also started by asking me if I was vegetarian or vegan and I said neither! I explained my situation so she offered me the French Toast on the Vegan menu which is made with Almond milk and no eggs. She said she personally tried it and recommends it, it tastes really good. So I said ok let's try it. She also asked if I wanted any fruits on it and he options were strawberry, blueberry, etc. I asked if they washed the strawberries and she said yes so I asked for that (I heard that many restaurants are not washing their fruits to keep them from going bad so I had to check because of my pregnancy) My husband ordered the veggie omelette which comes with 1 side. He chose potatoes. I also ordered orange juice. The food took a little while to come out but that's understandable considering how busy they were and the fact that everything is cooked to order. Everything tasted great. The French toast was indeed delicious and the portion was pretty big; 3 pieces of toast cut in half. It was served with maple syrup. My husband's omelette smelled so good, I was so tempted to try it but I only tried a bite of his potatoes and they had lots of flavor. Nice place overall. I believe it was one of the owners who served our food. He also checked on us later while we were eating. Our waitress also checked on us. They offer a $5 discount if you check in on Yelp and spend $25+. The prices are average. My husband liked this place a lot, he said he's adding it to his list of breakfast places. Eggs Benedict were not very good, sauce tasted funky. The hash brown side was tiny. Service was minimal at best, never got a refill on drinks. There seemed to be an overall negative vibe with the staff, not much smiling. There is a bar serving drinks with your breakfast. Who doesn't like a bloody Mary with breakfast? From the pictures this one is loaded with all kinds of good stuff. They also offer $2.00 mimosas all day long. After reviewing the menu I decided on the breakfast burrito with chorizo. Thet charge extra for adding chorizo. This baby was huge. Scrambled eggs, chorizo, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and potatoes all wrapped up in a flour tortilla and comes with a side of black beans and salsa. It was good What's more is I had enough left over for lunch so it was like getting a two for one deal. The staff was friendly and accomodating. If I could give no stars I would. We called ahead for a table of 12 for my cousins college graduation. There were maybe 3 people inside and 2 outside, so it was not busy. We wanted to sit together so we asked the waitress if we could move two tables together. Her response was, "No we can't move the furniture because we can't and because there would not be enough room." If they couldn't accommodate a bigger party that should have been said before. We used to come to this cafe regularly and get good service and decent food. I'm very sad to say that we will never return again after today. We got there just after they opened and were surprised to see it empty. The service was horrible. The bartender was wearing sunglasses the whole time and our server seemed clueless. The food was absolutely terrible. From charred bacon to chewy waffles, our meals were very poorly prepared. The real kicker was when we got the bill and it was almost $70 for 3 meals and 2 sodas. We were charged a fee of $3.95 to leave bacon out of the crepe and charged $1.95 to substitute the bacon for ham ‍?? We didn't even bother to argue the bill, as we didn't want to deal any further with the server or bartender.
