    Tiny ass long burger $8.75
    Amanda S.

Not sure why I tried it out after reading the negative reviews. I guess I'm a sucker for giving chances and high hopes. I love old school drive-thrus and their classic greasy burgers, less-than-unhealthy milkshakes and nostalgic ambiance. You don't visit these places with high expectations, and that's what typically makes them okay. Not with Wheeler's, I am very sad to say. I'm waiting for my husband while he does his engineering magic and whatnot off Caldwell Blvd when all the sudden I get a craving for a burger. Wheeler's is 6 minutes down the road so away I go. The line is long, as expected. I order the Wheeler's Special (hand patted long burger served with special sauce, lettuce, onion, pickle, tomato, and American cheese with choice of french fries, tator tots or homemade onion rings & fountain drink, $8.75). This is their signature item. It's basically a burger in a hot dog bun. Nicely put, I was not impressed. My already low expectations were not met. First off, there was hardly ANY meat! For $8.75 you'd think I'd get a decent amount. Or enough so I could tell it was there. The patty was smashed down so thin, I could hardly taste it while being overwhelmed by bread and whatever the heck their burger sauce is made out of (it's really nothing special, just fry sauce). It was also so small! The tots and fry sauce were good but that alone doesn't warrant the ridiculous price for this abomination. One star because that's as low as Yelp lets me go and another because it filled the gap. What a waste of money, time and calories!!! :(

    Chicken sandwich corn dog

Corn dogs are good. But my chicken sandwich for $5 was disappointing , little bits of coated chicken & extra Mayo wasn't added Our order of curly fries not in bag when Grubhub bought. So pretty sad dinner it was & also fry sauce it appeared but it was thousand island dressing

Tried this for dinner tonight. Wasn't impressed at all. My burger was soaked in Mayo and soggy and couldn't enjoy it. I only asked for it on it just not so much I didn't need the whole tub. My fry sauce for my fries was good just was not even half full. Good shakes though just let down. :(

You will wait a while for your food but the onion rings cannot be beat. The burgers are great too and I love their flavour burst ice cream.

After eating here, we should have came here instead of having the pizza. It was later in the afternoon when we came in so it was pretty chill. I I did creep out the menu online so I had a general idea of what I wanted. My husband is pretty predictable so he automatically knew what he wanted. So for lunch I got the 7" pepper steak and my husband got the 7" steak classic with no onions. We both got extra meat instead on getting a bigger sandwich. Yo, this sandwich was so good! My meat was cooked perfectly and not dry! It had a ton of jalapenos and banana peppers. It was cheesy and savory. The bread was soft and not dense. Every bite of it was so good! Not gonna lie, the jalapenos were creeping up on me towards the end. They were getting spicy! I might do half the jalapenos next time. The banana peppers added a nice acid to the sandwich. I polished that baby off and was so full! Well, as full as I was, this joint does offer ice cream. Of course we had to grab some! So, my husband and I grabbed a single scoop of cookies and cream on a sugar cone. It was a decent sized scoop. The gal that scooped it did have a hard time scooping it, it was kinda hollow in the middle. But, it was honestly enough ice cream without officially putting me into food coma. The gals that helped up were really nice! The Phillies here are killer good! The venue is open and spacious. Huge tvs on the wall would make this joint fun during football season! My husband and I enjoyed our sandwiches and look forward to coming back for more!

Someone quickly came to the register with a huge smile and great attitude, patiently waiting while my husband and I scoured the menu. He ordered the 7" classic and I ordered the 7" supreme without mushrooms. We didn't have to wait long before they served us two piping hot sandwiches and a large fries. The sandwich was so hot that the cheese melted onto the paper, but when I carefully pulled the paper from the sandwich, it revealed this lovely melted mess of cheese, onions, steak, peppers and mayo. It was the epitome of gluttonous glory. The bun was soft, yet sturdy enough to hold all that gluttony. I eagerly dove in and was surprised on how much I enjoyed the combo of flavors. I thought it lacked a little salt, black pepper or something to make the sandwich "zing". But everything tasted fresh and was overall a very filling and delicious meal. The crinkle cut fries were hot, fresh and perfectly cooked. Liked the fry sauce as well. Honestly, I've never had a real cheesesteak sandwich before so I'm not sure how valid my review is in general. That said, I really liked our time at Bruchi's.

The ambiance was typical of a sub restaurant and very clean. I had the 12in Gator and it was filling! All the ingredients were cooked just right and the bread they use is perfect. Flavorful sirloin steak, moist chicken, kielbasa, grilled onions, bacon bits and their swamp sauce all melted together with provolone. My wife had the maple bacon chicken sub which was also very tasty but a lil too sweet for me. Its not on their menu anymore but you can still get it. Its a smokehouse maple rubbed chicken, maple syrup glaze, bacon ,lettuce, tomato and mayo. Will be back to try some other sandos for sure! Meridian finally has a great sandwich shop!

Once our food was brought over, the worker dropped our fries all over the table and then proceeded to ask if we wanted a new order. Um, yes please? Then we started unwrapping our sandwich order and noticed that we got one of our sandwiches as the wrong order, and it turned out that the people sitting across the room from us got our sandwich and we got theirs. So then we had to wait longer for them to remake the sandwich. Our kids ordered the chicken strips, which did not look like chicken when they arrived. The color was very weird. The only thing that deserved a one star was that at the end of our visit, one of our kids accidentally spilt their drink, and the worker came over and took care of it no problem and was very gracious, so that was a bit of a saving grace. Overall, this place is a bummer bummer. It's not that hard to make a sandwich. Wouldn't go back.

The two servers behind the counter are completely discombobulated. And, one of the employees just touched the inside of my sanitized to-go container with their bare hands after being out on the floor, touching dirty dishes, handling the dirty cash register, touching other surfaces. and everything else. The other server seems to be completely lost and staring off of the distance wiping counters while there's orders pending. My order. She really doesn't seem to be able to focus very well and know what to do. For example, there are plates of food sitting on the prep table, ready to go out and she walks over and looks at my ticket and then just stands there and wipes the counter. My to go order would literally take probably 30 seconds to put it into a container, weigh, and hand it to me, but she just won't do it. And, the other patron's food is getting cold. It seems like the guy that's on duty is the brains of the operation and he's doing all the work. I get out to my truck and the burnt ends feel really light in contrast to my brisket order. I ordered a half a pound of burnt ends, and 1/3 of a pound of brisket. Something isn't right. I take the burnt ends back in and show the guy that was at the register when I came in, he agreed something went wrong. It looked like a third of a pound, but I would argue that it wasn't even a third. By the way, this was prepared by the girl working that was daydreaming. He then made it right and handed back my tray, which I was grateful. He was apologetic and he took care of it well. Just to be clear, he did not give me more than half a pound but he made it right. And then went to go pick up a plastic fork, that's usually over in a cup on the counter, but there were none. So I had to get their attention quickly and ask for a fork and they pulled one up from behind the counter, after I was told they were over by the beverage machine. They both seem surprised that there were none up there ready to go. The food as usual was delicious. This is the sad part. The service is all over the map and completely in need of some serious management and restructure. I realize that it's very difficult to get good help these days, but this is a training issue. I can't go back in now knowing that the last 3 to 5 times I've gone in there. I've always had a problem with service. If the food was piping hot when it arrived, I might not be so bothered, but this lack of efficiency causes the food to be delivered cold. That's not my definition of a good experience. If you have a lot of time on your hands, and you don't mind waiting, and you don't mind your food warm instead of hot, then I would say venture out and try this place because the flavor and textures are good. Just set your expectations accordingly. The atmosphere is comfortable and rustic. A little loud because of the openness, no booths, just tables and chairs with 1/2 booth. Lots of self service going on here so be careful before you tip at the register. By the way, I chose not to tip at the time of payment when I walked in because I don't like tipping in advance of receiving the service. The purpose of the gratuity is to compensate your server based on the service they delivered, not will deliver or should deliver. Or in this case didn't deliver. I realize that not tipping on the front end gives the employees a chance to retaliate with poor service because you didn't tip. Oh how the times have changed.

Since we were eager to try it out again and didn't see a line, we yanked our car into a parking spot and ran in for lunch. Ordering went quickly but we had a little sticker shock when it was $34 for two small sandwiches with chip/drink combos. Add in tip and it was almost $38. That's more than we expected to spend. I was also quite disappointed to see that they took away my beloved Diet Pepsi and replaced with Pepsi Zero (this is not the same!!!!). Double whammy with high prices and I didn't get my only choice for a drink. It wasn't just me, two people who walked past me said "no Diet Pepsi?". At least I wasn't alone. Food still took much longer than we thought to get out, with no lines and only a few people at tables and an occasional door dash driver showing up. After about 20 minutes our sandwiches arrived and we were famished. My chicken bacon ranch sandwich was oozing with ranch, chicken and bacon were hot and the overall flavor was exceptional. However, the chicken was in thin, craggy pieces that were texturally unappealing. I would have appreciated juicy chunks or even strips. My husband truly suffered with his standard turkey sandwich. He kept telling me how dry it was, so I tried some to see if he was being a drama llama. The turkey was so dry that I had to fill my mouth with lemonade to swallow it down. If everything was perfect, I wouldn't mind paying that price for two sandwich combos, but this wasn't the case. Probably won't be going back.
