What a great place!!!!! My wife & I recently traveled to OKC to see our favorite band in concert. Before the show, on the recommendation of friend, we had dinner at Whiskey Chicks. While I would give the concert at the Chesapeake Center a 3 out of 10 :-(; Kevin & Dorothy (the owners) at Whiskey Chicks made the entire trip COMPLETELY worthwhile!!! From the ease & comfort at which Kevin works the room making everyone feel like regulars to the great food on the menu. At Kevin's suggestion we went for the "fall off the bone" wings which totally lived up to the billing. Best wings I have ever had period..... and I love wings. We also had the sliders with their in house homemade whiskey glaze sauce (also INCREDIBLE flavor). The building is a former Wells Fargo stable from earlier times and is super cool. I'm pretty surprised that I liked this place as much as I did. I thought it was just a regular sports bar, but no. They have a great list of cocktails. I tried the Scarlet Lemonade and Red Rum. Both were very good, but the lemonade was my favorite. It wasn't too sweet either. They have a somewhat interesting food menu as well. Their nachos are good, but they're not your typical pile of soggy chips...there are about 6-8 chips, individually topped. Every time my boyfriend and I visit whiskey chicks, we have the best time! Kevin and Levi are premium. They even have a new menu and I tasted the grilled veggie wrap and it's delish and the crack tots are a must try - drizzled with white truffle oil and parmesan cheese. My honey loves the wings here. I went out last night for my birthday weekend. Ordered an amaretto sour. Told the bartender it wasn't good. It was way too sour and not drinkable and told her I'd like something else. She even asked if it was too sour and I said yes and she mentioned another person that ordered it and didnt like it either. She gave me a different drink. Equally as unpleasant but I dealt with it. Also ordered 2 different kinds of shots and they looked and tasted the exact same! Didn't want to stay after that due to how awful tasting the drinks were. I never have ever experienced drinks this bad in all my life. Went to pay the tab and saw she was charging me for the drink I sent back and didn't drink! Asked nicely if it could be taken off and she refused! I took it up with another bartender working there who was just sitting at the bar acting like she couldn't be bothered. Said the same thing. So yeah I told them what I really thought of their disgusting drinks and left frustrated and upset. They couldn't take one drink off I didn't consume? I never ask for things to be taken back but this was the worst drink I ever tasted. They both ruined my night after that and the rest of my evening was awful due to this experience. I will never be going back and I plan on fighting the charge with my cc company. Everytime I've entered this establishment it's usually always empty. Even on a weekend! Now I know why. Bad drinks and awful bartenders who obviously only rely on their looks to work there and not their drink making skills. read more

Was in the city for a concert and the bar was bumping the artist outside so my brother and I decided to look it up. Had 4 stars so we gave it a go. We were greeted right away by the bartender and server. Super friendly staff. The bartender (Dorothy) was especially accommodating and helpful. We ordered signature cocktails, which were delicious... but then was told about a special beer bucket featuring said artist so we had to get them. We were recommended their wings for dinner and they were the some of the best wings we've had. Fell right off the bone, and the flavors were unreal. Omg I LOVED this place. They have a huge drink menu with all kinds of interesting drinks. I'm a fan of Gin and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a large amount of drinks with Gin on their menu (despite being called Whiskey Chicks)! I went on my birthday and the service was great even though there were a bunch of people. They also had live music. The waitresses are GORGEOUS. The ones that waited our tables were sisters and their mom (also gorgeous) was bartending. My wife and I popped in while waiting to check in at our hotel on St Patrick's day (coincidentally my birthday) and we are so glad we did. Sat at the bar and the owner/barman was so friendly and welcoming to us out-of-towners. Obviously they were really busy but he still made time to continuously check on us. They only had Guinness in a can but as busy as they were this really speeded up the process (as pouring a draft takes a couple of minutes). We also ate the shepherds pie which was perfect pub grub food. We ended up coming back later in the evening and spending another couple of hours there. The music was getting everyone up dancing and it was packed but when a live band came on at 10:00pm they basically killed the whole party vibe. I love live music but this band cleared the floor in 20 mins. They may have been a popular local band but totally killed the atmosphere. We left around 10:40. All in all a great family run bar with friendly people. Shame about the live band but I can't mark them down for that. We will definitely go back when we visit again. We asked for appetizers first, she brought our food and said appetizers would take a long time, cause she probably didn't put in the order, took a long time to get more drinks! She wanted a CC which is fine but told her i want to pay for it cash don't put on my card, she brought the ticket so i put the money in the book , she came back said I Already charged the card! First time in OKC. This place had great reviews so I tried it out. The first thing I noticed was the festive atmosphere. They went all out with the decorations for Halloween. They really have a great vibe. The beef sliders were delicious. Not thin, commercial patties like some of the chain restraints. This place hand makes each patty to about a 1/5LB size. Fried onion strips and a Butter toasted bun topped it all off in mouth watering goodness. More places could learn from this place! The only drawback is that this bar is geared to a hard liquor crowd. A surprisingly good little bar in downtown Oklahoma City. With a name like Whiskey Chicks I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised to end up here after walking around aimlessly trying to find a respite to have a drink and wait for friends to arrive. The waitresses were quick, efficient and exceedingly nice and I was never bereft of a beer during my stay here. I groaned a bit when I saw the live band start tuning up to play but just like my surprise at how nice this litte bar was - the band was just as good playing a mix of 80s, 90s and originals but nicely done with a unique twist. I didn't catch their name but they were one of the best local cover bands I've seen in awhile. The bathrooms are a bit awkward in that the doors (of both sexes) open directly in view of the other patrons, which was a tad bit awkward. Overall, a nice litte bare and a good time. read more

I went here before a Dodgers game and I was so completely disappointed. It was not even busy. Let me get that out of the way. Yes, it was before a Dodgers game but there were only 3 tables in use and 1 lonely fellow at the bar. My friends and I came in as a party of 10. The drinks were horrible. It took twice as long to get the food as it did to eat it. And it didn't taste all that great. The waitress messed up 5 of our orders and never did end up getting 2 of them right. Perhaps, had she not been so busy watching the TV or flirting with the guy at the bar, our service may have been better...but who knows. No one else in the place had food in front of them. This was actually one of the nicer bars in OKC. I'm new here so been looking for places to go to and Whiskey Chicks is definitely a chill bar with a nice atmosphere. I went on a thursday night so it was kinda empty but I was there for an event so there was enough people. They had a live band that was pretty good but they were really loud! I had trouble hearing the people next to me. One of the best things about this place: its not clouded in smoke like other bars! When I got home I didn't smell like an ashtray, which I was thankful for! They also have TVs everywhere so you can watch the game. The alcohol was so good! They had a really big variety so it was fun to try different drinks. I had a shot of cherry vodka which was so smooth and delish! The thing to get there though is their whiskey shot, its so good! Not hard and bitter like most other whiskey I've had. They also have a deal where if you buy a can of beer and whiskey shot its only $5 whereas a shot by itself is $6. My friend had their cinnamon shot (crazy right?) and apparently it was AMAZING!! Will definitely be trying that next time I go there. I went last night and had a blast! Kevin. The owner served me and he was sweet! He made me a hibiscus margarita, it was $11 and worth every penny. It was strong g but not TOO strong, the hibiscus flower was of course edible and delish. The hibiscus margarita was rimmed with some sort of cinnamon chili powder...oh my so yummy! On the Thursday night I went, there was a Bachelorette party going on and a mature crowd that I prefer (30ish-40ish). The inside was old timey with thick plush saloon type curtains. I travel across every state in the United States, and make sure to stop in at least one or two bars in every town I get the chance to. This was the number ONE stop in the United States. Hands down the best Whiskey bar service I had ever received. A very well put together bar. I arrived shortly after 5pm, which I believe is normal opening time for this fine bar. I started with the 15 yr. Redbreast whiskey. If your any kind of a whiskey drinker, I would highly recommend your start with this fine whiskey. I gently stepped down off the 15 yr. Redbreasted double and continued with a 12 yr. Redbreasted single which was very comparable to the 15....but not quite the 15 ;-). For the couple extra bucks I would go with the 15. ITS AMAZING!!! The service was exceptional. The best bar experience I have ever experienced; seriously. The bartenders were beautiful and educated on everything they were serving. Artwork of the original ladies is displayed on the brick walls very nicely. The owner was running the bar towards later evening. I had developed a bit of a belly ache, and had showed symptoms of my condition. The owner recognized this and kindly handed my a magical tonic....which instantly relieved my belly :-).....and I continued on with enjoying the live music and fine beer that was on tap. :-) :-). read more

When I've been here in the past there were actual "chicks" working at the place and I had a great time. This particular night there was one "chick" working the floor and a dude behind the bar. This new establishment is a MUST go to ! It is so much more than a bar and grill. It is a speakeasy/ restaurant/ sports bar/ music venue. Kevin and Levi, the father/son, owner/bartender, are a breathe of fresh air in Bricktown. It is not another boring restaurant franchises. Kevin is a mixologist and pours a mean cocktail. He and his son have very engaging personalities, which adds to the welcoming feel of this establishment. The chef is superb! His layers of flavors in his dishes are to die for! Whiskey, being the theme, adds a new dimension to his dishes. The sliders are superb! We did not have his desserts, but they looked wonderful. Something to try during our next visit. There is a DJ or live music, depending on the night. The name, Whiskey Chicks, conjured up a Coyote Ugly image, to me, but it is far from that! It is a place that you can make it what you want it to be...a place to watch your favorite game, a place to eat a great meal, or a place to just enjoy a beverage and feel at home. My husband and I visited this bar Friday night during Labor Day weekend. The place was not busy at all. There were the occasional groups of people that came in and stayed a few minutes, had a drink or two, then left. The bar tender tried to keep playing music to our liking; however, the music account they used had expired so we had to endure the occasional commercial break and listen to some songs we didn't like because the bar tender couldn't skip them (not her fault, though). I went in Friday night with my fiancé and her friend. They were offering Shock Top with a shot of fireball for $8, both ladies settled on that. I ordered a Boston Lager. At the end the tabs were split and her friends was $21. My tab was $74. I read the receipt and it stated that I had two Boston Lagers (which I did) and 2 shots of Fireball(which I had 1). The receipt went on to say that my fiancé had 3 Shock Tops and 5 shots (@$7 each for $35) (which she had 2 Shock Top/fireball combos and 1 extra shot). The combos were not even added on the receipt right... I complained to the waitress who seemed very disinterested in helping me, she then in turn got the manager and they were no help. (She claims she watched my fiancé take all 5 shots). Let me be clear about something. My fiancé is maybe 120 pounds... Maybe.. If she took 5 shots and 3 beers like they claim, she would have been on the floor! I understand accidents happen and sometimes things get added incorrectly... But listen to your customer ! The drinks were awesome but a little expensive. We had the bourbon smash, Moscow Mule, and more. We also has appetizers and the loaded fries were very good. Our waitress Brandy was on of the best that I have had while out in Oklahoma. She was funny and made the experience of evening more fun.
