Whiskey Creek is our go-to for special occasions and everyday meals mid-week. We had a delicious meal on Christmas Eve! Seating was perfect, our server, Kimberley was great, food was sooooo good. We started with drinks and the hot spinach dip, didn't last long and hit the spot. We each ordered a different meal and we were so happy with our choices. I had a Prime rib, my Granddaughter had a ribeye and my son ordered the Pork chop. Nice, spacious clean place. Our waitress was outstanding. Good American-standard food like burgers and soups. They also have a Thai menu. Reasonable prices, big servings but not too big. Hello, This was the first time I came to this restraint with my husband. However, my husband was wondering if the restraint had pizza so I asked the waiter if they had pizza. The waiter seemed to not understand what I was saying and asked their manager to come assist. I, once again, asked for "Do you have pizza?" However, I was dealt with a "what?" "I don't know what you're talking about?" "Pitcher?" So once I wrote on the napkin I was asking for pizza, the white lady finally understood what we were saying.... Really didn't understand what Pizza was and had to spell it out. Pretty sure the staff that night were being racist to asians. Because how do you confuse pizza with pitcher? My husband enjoyed his Beyond burger and fries. I had a salad and paid to add salmon. The salmon was quite fishy and though I tried to power through it, it really did ruin the experience. I was interested in the Thai food on Saturday, but the experience earlier in the week put me off from dining here again. If you go, I'd suggest steering clear of the fish. read more

Had a great experience here with my boyfriend last week. We were going to be driving through the area late (traveling from LA to Yosemite). I called to see if they would seat us 15 min before their posted closing time, and a woman named Jennifer said she would keep the kitchen open for us. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and drink orders were taken. Our server, Ronda, was a wonderful intuitive woman. Her recommendations on drinks, food choices, and dessert were spot on. Worth the wait. Do yourself a favor and order the barramundi chimichurri, it's a decent serving for one person. The slices of potato with couscous are quite filling in addition to the fish. If you'd like a great night ask to be seated out in the patio so Rhonda can be your server, she knows the menu like the back of her hand which is so helpful when people have different dietary preferences. First time I ate here I loved it. I ate from the dinner menu. Today ate here and had the lunch menu. I got the bacon shrimp which was way better last time. Very little sauce and shrimp way over cooked. Had the spinach dip and couldn't dip my chip in due to layer of melted cheese I had to take off. Buffalo wings we good but not crunchy very soggy. But flavor of buffalo sauce was very good. Waiter was good at first until we didnt see him for a long while to see if we needed anything else. read more

Went here on a family trip. Literally everything about my experience here was great. I ordered the cashew chicken meal and no complaints here. The finale of the experience was the monster brownie desert plate, and that comes with ice cream, brownie, and whip cream, and that was great too! Warning: There was some large portions depending on what exactly you order I never got our waiter's name, but he was extremely nice towards us. Personally wasnt sure what to expect based on Yelp when I arrived, but the inside was very nice. Had a very nice gentleman playing music on a saxophone, lighting was dim but not dark so you can still see whats going on and read your menu. Honestly it was a great experience, I got the BBQ Burger and it was really good!! Same with the Calamari! Service was good or it least in my opinion, Santiago P. was our waiter. (Cheers!) You also get soup or salad; I tried the salad which was fresh (not soggy, but crisp leaves). Basic garden salad, no toppings. The service was fast and friendly crew. I got the crostini Brie, which comes with steak. So freaking good. It's an appetizer so don't expect a full meal from this. As someone who was not super hungry but wanted dinner and something small. This was perfection. Thinly sliced French baguette, toasted to a crusty perfection with steak, melted Brie and caramelized balsamic onions. Came with a small amount of arugula. Bold flavors but all paired very well. My bf got the wedge salad with 4oz steak. First off. This is def cow country so steak is going to be GOOD. His food was just as good. Celebrated our last night up North here for a Friday night dinner. We shared 2 appetizers: Calamari and Onion Rings. Both had a great taste but the batter on the onion rings was amazing. For the entrée, we shared a 16 oz. Medium Rib Eye. It was cooked at a perfect medium and had great flavor. My only complaints are that the food didn't seem "made to order". Every dish was lukewarm. Also our server Tom F. ,wasn't attentive. Very awkward, would walk away to hangout at the bar and just watch us from afar. There were a lot of tasty looking dishes on the menu but we both went with the Filet mignon prepared a little differently for each of us. We were both very happy with the food. Idiotic waitstaff and remarkably underwhelming menu. Table of 8, called in on a reservation and on their website. No problem we were told and upon arrival, we were told it was first come first serve on the patio. This is after a couple of calls to confirm. Why didn't you tell us this? Wrong wine, asked to check our steaks if they were correct (ummm... kitchen?) and remarkably insipid food. Ridiculous order taking. 1. Ribeye. Why did you ask me to check the doneness of the steak? 2. Prime rib... are you not sure of the temperature? Why did you ask me to cut into the flaccid meat to check it? The Jurassically hard potato should have given you clues as to our displeasure. 3. Instead of draconianally making us order in a counter clock wise manner, why couldn't you have taken the order and skipped it on your sheet? And to have the young kid auction off the meals at the table. Who had the pasta? 4. Most of all, why did it take 54 minutes for children's meals to arrive when we SPECIFICALLY asked for those to be fired first 5. Jesus. Seasoning. Someone should speak to your chef about using the remarkably rare ingredients : salt and pepper. As it was we waited for an hour on a cold patio (heaters don't work) for miserably underwhelming food, at big city prices. Go somewhere else, like Jack in The Box. So great! When I drive through Bishop, I usually grab a bite to eat. I've been coming to Whiskey Creek for twenty years. The quality is high and the customer service is outstanding! I called another restaurant in town (that also serves Thai food, wonder which one that could be?) and asked about the sugar content in their food. They gave me the runaround and asked invasive medical questions! Not Whiskey Creek. They were super accommodating and asked the chef in charge of Thai food. She could make anything with less sugar, except for the pad Thai, but that was because the pad Thai really needed it I also asked about the salads and they told me the dressing had a little sugar. Talk about honest and open! The food is delicious! And fresh! Went for a Sierra ranch salad and burger without a bun. Delicious! read more

We ate here a few days ago based on good Yelp reviews. It was extremely noisy inside before the music was cranked up which made conversation impossible. We moved to the outside patio which was a different world; cool, comfortable and conversation was possible. The food was adequate from the special menu, curried chicken and a shrimp quinoa dish for the two of us. Service was above par considering it was busy. My suggestion to management is take the music down a notch (or 3), maybe utilize some sound absorbing wall decorations to kill the screech from yelling patrons who can't hear themselves think. read more

At the end of a long day of driving, this restaurant was just what we wanted. Seated promptly. Friendly servers. We chose the ribs and small New York. Both were spot on! The rib meat fell off the bones. As for the steak, it was better than most at highly rated places in the LA area. Perfect char on a beautiful medium rare. We stopped by here for a Thanksgiving dinner and it was such a great experience. The prime rib was perfect and the creamy horseradish sauce was delicious. The service was impeccable and the live saxophone was such a great touch. Not sure if he's always there, but it really made our time there more enjoyable.
