One of the biggest disappointments I have ever had. I walk in and had to seat myself. I sat at a table and it had no silverware and had not been wiped down. The server took 15 minutes to bring me a menu. The server also brought me someone elses drink and took it back and gave it to someone else. I had to ask for sugar, silverware, dessert menus, and more to drink. After all this I was very disappointed because I had her such great things about this place to being terrible serves. The table next to me had turned over and there server never whipped down the table when the next guests sat down. The place smelled of spilled beer and alcohol. Food review: The artichoke spinach dip had no artichoke in it. The bread was delicious. The chips were ok. The linguine clam pasta.... wtf was this. It was noodles in alot of water "white wine" with 4 real clams and the rest were straight out of a can and chopped. Had no flavor and tasted like water. The brownie monster was okay. I was a little concerned the glass was dirty. I waited for the check. The server brought it and didnt give me a pen to sign and write a tip. I literally almost walked out without writing a tip. Everything was AMAZING!! The Thai peanut wings were perfectly crispy and flavorful. As was the Chicken Deluxe sandwich, got a side of habanero mayo and pesto as well, everything is home made so it's full of flavor and fresh. So happy we stopped here on our way home! We ordered take out tonight and it was delicious. I wish I had taken a pic because even in a to go box the plating was gorgeous! A fresh, delicious meal was a much needed respite from a day of driving. My husband had the 1/2 rack of ribs, garlic mashed potatoes, & a side salad... He ate every bite which he rarely does! My mom had Pad Thai, it was very good and authentic tasting. I had the flat iron steak, veggies, regular mashed potatoes and a side salad. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium, tender and enhanced with the added sautéed mushrooms and Gorgonzola cream sauce. My 2 year old picked off our plates and was a big (little) fan of the mashed potatoes! We all split a couple slices of Tres Leches cake. The cake was very Good & even exceeded our expectations. We were impressed by the variety and quality of the food. Not to mention the portion size, which is generous. Food was delicious! In our group we had pasta with steak, chicken pesto pasta, and barramundi chimichurri. We all loved our food. I was especially impressed with the unique barramundi dish with presentation and flavors. Our waitress Kimberley was on it, never let my glass run empty and was quick with the refills (there were many) . The other staff who helped deliver our food were great too. This place is a great experience, the food was fresh & delicious. We had prime rib special and it was Cooked exactly to our liking and we saved room for brownie sundae & lemon meringue pie...mmm sooo yummy! Our server Michelle M was friendly, service with a smile and had great recommendations! There are a couple different areas to eat, an area with a live singer and the area we sat in had great music playing. It was well worth the 2 1/2 hrs drive. Returning from Susanville dealing with the unexpected passing of my friend's beloved sister, we stopped again in Bishop for an overnight. (Might be a bit long, sorry) We were recommended Whiskey Creek on the trip up, we're not in the frame of mind to make decisions. Returning we popped in, the hostess was very welcoming, opted for seats at the bar, we needed a decent cocktail. John our bartender not only makes "perfect" cocktails, has knowledge of the entire menu too. Our food was delicious and as we were finishing up, chatting with people, etc., their juke box (app based) started blasting heavy metal (not judging), however the mood of the day just went out the window. We asked to turn down, they did and while planning to talk with the manager, he showed up. He was on spot, understood the music was not fitting the ambiance, searching out who might have played and wanted to find and refund whoever played the music. All good, mood and ambiance is back. Love that a manager can realize so quickly and respond so efficiently. But seriously, the food and drink are very good!!! read more

Every time my wife and I go in we get good service and an overall great dining experience. Tommy, specifically is a fantastic server and bartender. The Portobello Mushroom Sandwich and the Sierra Ranch Salad is our go to. However, we find every time we call in our order to pick up it is never correct and once we get home we find out we've received something other than what we've order. For example cheese when we've asked for no cheese or even a completely different salad then what we had ordered. Only complaint. Overall, great food and great cocktails. read more

What a treat after a long fay in the mountains! Unexpected to find a lovely place with a fantastic outdoor back patio, and one of the finest chimichurries I've had. New chef hit it out of the park. The tomato on the Caprese salad could be more ripe and flavorful, being that it is indeed summer, and good quality Tomatoes abound. Service relaxed, but attentive. I'd go here again. The chicken Florentine soup was so good! They were out of the prime rib so I ordered the filet mignon. One of the best I have had! Cooked just the way I wanted it. I couldn't help notice the excellent work ethic of a gentleman who was bartending, taking dinner orders, washing dishes, drying dishes and putting them away. He was a hustler and I was so impressed on how efficient he was with his job. You just don't see that anymore. Whenever my party and I requested anything the wait staff were very quick. Their service made this restaurant shine. Portions: They give generous portions. Food: Cobb salad: large helping and had a lot of bacon bits! It was the standard Cobb salad ingredients. Chicken pot pie: pretty large pie for one person. The crust was good and middle content wasn't rich. Mild tasting. I personally like it better like that since there was so much to eat. Chili with cornbread: the chili was also mild in taste.
